Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Hijos, obedeced a vuestros padres en el Señor, porque esto es justo.
2 “Honour your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise:
“Honra a tu padre y a tu madre”, que es el primer mandamiento con una promesa:
3 “that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”
“para que te vaya bien y vivas mucho tiempo en la tierra.”
4 You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Vosotros, padres, no provoquéis a vuestros hijos a la ira, sino educadlos en la disciplina y la instrucción del Señor.
5 Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Messiah,
Siervos, obedeced a los que según la carne son vuestros amos, con temor y temblor, con sencillez de corazón, como a Cristo,
6 not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers, but as servants of Messiah, doing the will of God from the heart,
no sirviendo sólo cuando los ojos están puestos en vosotros, como los que complacen a los hombres, sino como siervos de Cristo, haciendo de corazón la voluntad de Dios,
7 with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men,
con buena voluntad haciendo el servicio como al Señor y no a los hombres,
8 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same good again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.
sabiendo que cualquier cosa buena que cada uno haga, la volverá a recibir del Señor, esté atado o libre.
9 You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.
Vosotros, amos, haced lo mismo con ellos y dejad de amenazar, sabiendo que el que es a la vez su amo y el vuestro está en el cielo, y no hay parcialidad con él.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Por último, fortaleceos en el Señor y en la fuerza de su poder.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Vestíos de toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir las asechanzas del diablo.
12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (aiōn g165)
Porque nuestra lucha no es contra la carne y la sangre, sino contra los principados, contra las potestades, contra los gobernantes del mundo de las tinieblas de este siglo y contra las fuerzas espirituales de la maldad en los lugares celestiales. (aiōn g165)
13 Therefore put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Vestíos, pues, de toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo, y habiendo hecho todo, estar firmes.
14 Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Estad, pues, de pie, teniendo abrochado a la cintura el cinturón de la verdad, y habiéndoos puesto la coraza de la justicia,
15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace,
y calzando vuestros pies con la preparación de la Buena Nueva de la paz,
16 above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
sobre todo, tomando el escudo de la fe, con el cual podréis apagar todos los dardos de fuego del maligno.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Y tomad el yelmo de la salvación, y la espada del Espíritu, que es la palabra de Dios;
18 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the holy ones.
con toda oración y solicitud, orando en todo tiempo en el Espíritu, y velando para ello con toda perseverancia y solicitud por todos los santos.
19 Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,
Orad por mí, para que me sea dada la palabra al abrir mi boca, para dar a conocer con denuedo el misterio de la Buena Nueva,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
de la cual soy embajador encadenado; para que en ella hable con denuedo, como debo hablar.
21 But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things.
Pero para que también vosotros conozcáis mis asuntos, cómo estoy, Tíquico, el hermano amado y siervo fiel en el Señor, os lo hará saber todo.
22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state and that he may comfort your hearts.
Lo he enviado a vosotros con este mismo fin, para que conozcáis nuestra situación y para que consuele vuestros corazones.
23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
La paz sea con los hermanos, y el amor con la fe, de parte de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Yeshua the Messiah with incorruptible love. Amen.
La gracia sea con todos los que aman a nuestro Señor Jesucristo con amor incorruptible. Amén.
