Revelation 16
1 I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!”
Alors j'entendis une grande voix qui venait du temple, et qui disait aux sept anges: Allez, et versez sur la terre les sept coupes de la colère de Dieu.
2 The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and painful sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.
Le premier ange s'en alla et versa sa coupe sur la terre; et un ulcère malin et douloureux frappa les hommes qui avaient la marque de la bête, et qui adoraient son image.
3 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.
Le deuxième ange versa sa coupe dans la mer; et la mer devint du sang, comme le sang d'un mort; et tous les êtres vivants, qui se trouvaient dans la mer, moururent.
4 The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
Le troisième ange versa sa coupe dans les fleuves et les sources des eaux; et les eaux devinrent du sang.
5 I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, who are and who were, O Holy One, because you have judged these things.
Alors j'entendis l'ange des eaux, qui disait: Tu es juste, toi qui es, et qui étais, toi le Saint, parce que tu as exercé ce jugement.
6 For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.”
Car ils ont répandu le sang des saints et des prophètes, et tu leur as donné du sang à boire: ils sont dignes d'un tel châtiment.
7 I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”
Et j'entendis l'autel, qui disait: Oui, Seigneur, Dieu tout-puissant, tes jugements sont vrais et justes.
8 The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire.
Le quatrième ange versa sa coupe sur le soleil; et il lui fut donné de brûler les hommes par le feu.
9 People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.
Les hommes furent consumés par une chaleur extrême; ils blasphémèrent le nom de Dieu, qui a ces fléaux en son pouvoir, et ils ne se repentirent pas pour lui donner gloire.
10 The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain,
Le cinquième ange versa sa coupe sur le trône de la bête; son royaume fut plongé dans les ténèbres, et les hommes se mordaient la langue de douleur.
11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They still didn’t repent of their works.
Ils blasphémèrent contre le Dieu du ciel à cause de leurs douleurs et de leurs ulcères; et ils ne se repentirent pas de leurs mauvaises actions.
12 The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings that come from the sunrise.
Le sixième ange versa sa coupe sur le grand fleuve de l'Euphrate; et le fleuve fut mis à sec, pour livrer passage aux rois venant de l'Orient.
13 I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs;
Je vis sortir de la bouche du dragon et de la bouche de la bête, ainsi que de la bouche du faux prophète, trois esprits impurs, semblables à des grenouilles.
14 for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God the Almighty.
Ce sont des esprits de démons qui font des prodiges, et qui vont trouver les rois de toute la terre, afin de les rassembler pour la bataille du grand jour du Dieu tout-puissant.
15 “Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn’t walk naked, and they see his shame.”
Me voici! Je viens comme un voleur. Heureux celui qui veille et qui garde ses vêtements, pour ne pas aller nu et ne pas laisser voir sa honte! —
16 He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, “Harmagedon”.
Puis ils furent rassemblés dans le lieu qui s'appelle, en hébreu, Harmaguédon.
17 The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
Le septième ange versa sa coupe dans l'air; et il sortit du temple une grande voix, qui venait du trône et qui disait: C'en est fait!
18 There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake such as has not happened since there were men on the earth—so great an earthquake and so mighty.
Il y eut des éclairs, des voix, des tonnerres, et un grand tremblement de terre, un tremblement tel, qu'il n'y en eut jamais de si grand depuis qu'il y a des hommes sur la terre.
19 The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
La grande ville fut divisée en trois parties, et les villes des nations s'écroulèrent; et Dieu se souvint de la grande Babylone, pour lui faire boire la coupe du vin de son ardent courroux.
20 Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
Toutes les îles s'enfuirent, et les montagnes disparurent.
21 Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent, came down out of the sky on people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague was exceedingly severe.
Des grêlons énormes, du poids d'un talent, tombèrent du ciel sur les hommes; et les hommes blasphémèrent contre Dieu à cause du fléau de la grêle; car c'était un fléau terrible.
