Mark 3
1 He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there whose hand was withered.
Une autre fois, Jésus entra dans une synagogue, où se trouvait un homme qui avait la main desséchée.
2 They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
Les pharisiens l'observaient pour voir s'il le guérirait un jour de sabbat, afin de pouvoir l'accuser.
3 He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand up.”
Il dit à l'homme qui avait la main desséchée: Lève-toi et tiens-toi au milieu de nous.
4 He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent.
Puis il leur dit: Est-il permis, le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien ou de faire du mal; de sauver une personne ou de la tuer? Mais ils gardaient le silence.
5 When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.
Alors, promenant sur eux ses regards avec indignation, et affligé de l'endurcissement de leur coeur, il dit à l'homme: Étends ta main. Il l'étendit, et sa main redevint saine.
6 The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Les pharisiens, étant sortis, tinrent aussitôt conseil avec les hérodiens contre lui, pour le faire périr.
7 Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,
Jésus se retira avec ses disciples du côté de la mer, et une grande multitude, venue de la Galilée, le suivit. De la Judée aussi,
8 from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.
de Jérusalem, de l'Idumée, du pays au-delà du Jourdain, ainsi que des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, une grande multitude, ayant entendu parler de tout ce qu'il faisait, vint vers lui.
9 He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.
Alors il dit à ses disciples de lui tenir une petite barque toute prête, à cause de la foule, pour ne pas être trop pressé par elle.
10 For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.
Car il avait guéri plusieurs malades, de sorte que tous ceux qui avaient quelque mal se jetaient sur lui pour le toucher.
11 The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God!”
Et quand les esprits impurs le voyaient, ils tombaient à ses pieds et s'écriaient: Tu es le Fils de Dieu!
12 He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.
Mais il leur défendait sévèrement de le faire connaître.
13 He went up into the mountain and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.
Il alla ensuite sur la montagne, et il appela ceux qu'il voulut choisir lui-même, et ils vinrent à lui.
14 He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach
Il en désigna douze, qu'il nomma apôtres, pour les avoir avec lui et pour les envoyer prêcher,
15 and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
avec le pouvoir de chasser les démons.
16 Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);
Voici les douze qu'il désigna: Simon, à qui il donna le nom de Pierre;
17 James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James, (whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);
Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, frère de Jacques, auxquels il donna le nom de Boanerges, c'est-à-dire fils du tonnerre;
18 Andrew; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot;
André, Philippe, Barthélémy, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques, fils d'Alphée, Thaddée, Simon le Cananéen,
19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Then he came into a house.
et Judas Iscariote, celui-là même qui le trahit.
20 The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
Jésus entra dans une maison avec ses disciples; et la foule s'y rassembla encore, de sorte qu'ils ne pouvaient pas même prendre leur repas.
21 When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.”
Quand ses proches l'eurent appris, ils vinrent pour s'emparer de lui; car ils disaient qu'il avait perdu l'esprit.
22 The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”
Les scribes, descendus de Jérusalem, disaient: Il est possédé de Béelzébul, et il chasse les démons par le prince des démons!
23 He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?
Mais Jésus, les ayant appelés, leur dit en paraboles: Comment Satan pourrait-il chasser Satan?
24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume-là ne peut subsister;
25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison-là ne saurait subsister.
26 If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.
Si donc Satan s'élève contre lui-même, il est divisé et il ne peut subsister, mais il est près de sa fin.
27 But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house.
Nul ne peut entrer dans la maison de l'homme fort et piller son bien, s'il n'a auparavant lié cet homme fort; après cela, il pourra piller sa maison.
28 “Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
En vérité, je vous le dis, tous les péchés seront pardonnés aux enfants des hommes, ainsi que tous les blasphèmes qu'ils auront proférés;
30 —because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”
Jésus parla ainsi, parce qu'ils disaient: Il est possédé d'un esprit impur.
31 His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
La mère et les frères de Jésus arrivèrent; et, se tenant dehors, ils l'envoyèrent appeler.
32 A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”
La foule était assise autour de lui. Et on lui dit: Voici que ta mère et tes frères sont là dehors, qui te cherchent.
33 He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”
Mais il répondit: Qui est ma mère, et qui sont mes frères?
34 Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
Puis, jetant les yeux sur ceux qui étaient assis autour de lui, il dit: Voilà ma mère et mes frères!
35 For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and mother.”
Quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, et ma soeur, et ma mère.
