1 John 3

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

ପଶ୍ୟତ ୱଯମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ସନ୍ତାନା ଇତି ନାମ୍ନାଖ୍ୟାମହେ, ଏତେନ ପିତାସ୍ମଭ୍ୟଂ କୀଦୃକ୍ ମହାପ୍ରେମ ପ୍ରଦତ୍ତୱାନ୍, କିନ୍ତୁ ସଂସାରସ୍ତଂ ନାଜାନାତ୍ ତତ୍କାରଣାଦସ୍ମାନ୍ ଅପି ନ ଜାନାତି|

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

ହେ ପ୍ରିଯତମାଃ, ଇଦାନୀଂ ୱଯମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ସନ୍ତାନା ଆସ୍ମହେ ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ କିଂ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟାମସ୍ତଦ୍ ଅଦ୍ୟାପ୍ୟପ୍ରକାଶିତଂ କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରକାଶଂ ଗତେ ୱଯଂ ତସ୍ୟ ସଦୃଶା ଭୱିଷ୍ୟାମି ଇତି ଜାନୀମଃ, ଯତଃ ସ ଯାଦୃଶୋ ଽସ୍ତି ତାଦୃଶୋ ଽସ୍ମାଭିର୍ଦର୍ଶିଷ୍ୟତେ|

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ଏଷା ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଶା ଯସ୍ୟ କସ୍ୟଚିଦ୍ ଭୱତି ସ ସ୍ୱଂ ତଥା ପୱିତ୍ରଂ କରୋତି ଯଥା ସ ପୱିତ୍ରୋ ଽସ୍ତି|

4 Whoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law.

ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ପାପମ୍ ଆଚରତି ସ ୱ୍ୟୱସ୍ଥାଲଙ୍ଘନଂ କରୋତି ଯତଃ ପାପମେୱ ୱ୍ୟୱସ୍ଥାଲଙ୍ଘନଂ|

5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

ଅପରଂ ସୋ ଽସ୍ମାକଂ ପାପାନ୍ୟପହର୍ତ୍ତୁଂ ପ୍ରାକାଶତୈତଦ୍ ଯୂଯଂ ଜାନୀଥ, ପାପଞ୍ଚ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ନ ୱିଦ୍ୟତେ|

6 Whoever abideth in him sinneth not: whoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ତିଷ୍ଠତି ସ ପାପାଚାରଂ ନ କରୋତି ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ପାପାଚାରଂ କରୋତି ସ ତଂ ନ ଦୃଷ୍ଟୱାନ୍ ନ ୱାୱଗତୱାନ୍|

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

ହେ ପ୍ରିଯବାଲକାଃ, କଶ୍ଚିଦ୍ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ଭ୍ରମଂ ନ ଜନଯେତ୍, ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିଦ୍ ଧର୍ମ୍ମାଚାରଂ କରୋତି ସ ତାଦୃଗ୍ ଧାର୍ମ୍ମିକୋ ଭୱତି ଯାଦୃକ୍ ସ ଧାମ୍ମିକୋ ଽସ୍ତି|

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

ଯଃ ପାପାଚାରଂ କରୋତି ସ ଶଯତାନାତ୍ ଜାତୋ ଯତଃ ଶଯତାନ ଆଦିତଃ ପାପାଚାରୀ ଶଯତାନସ୍ୟ କର୍ମ୍ମଣାଂ ଲୋପାର୍ଥମେୱେଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ପୁତ୍ରଃ ପ୍ରାକାଶତ|

9 Whoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିଦ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରାତ୍ ଜାତଃ ସ ପାପାଚାରଂ ନ କରୋତି ଯତସ୍ତସ୍ୟ ୱୀର୍ୟ୍ୟଂ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ତିଷ୍ଠତି ପାପାଚାରଂ କର୍ତ୍ତୁଞ୍ଚ ନ ଶକ୍ନୋତି ଯତଃ ସ ଈଶ୍ୱରାତ୍ ଜାତଃ|

10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

ଇତ୍ୟନେନେଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ସନ୍ତାନାଃ ଶଯତାନସ୍ୟ ଚ ସନ୍ତାନା ୱ୍ୟକ୍ତା ଭୱନ୍ତି| ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିଦ୍ ଧର୍ମ୍ମାଚାରଂ ନ କରୋତି ସ ଈଶ୍ୱରାତ୍ ଜାତୋ ନହି ଯଶ୍ଚ ସ୍ୱଭ୍ରାତରି ନ ପ୍ରୀଯତେ ସୋ ଽପୀଶ୍ୱରାତ୍ ଜାତୋ ନହି|

11 For this is the message that ye have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

ଯତସ୍ତସ୍ୟ ଯ ଆଦେଶ ଆଦିତୋ ଯୁଷ୍ମାଭିଃ ଶ୍ରୁତଃ ସ ଏଷ ଏୱ ଯଦ୍ ଅସ୍ମାଭିଃ ପରସ୍ପରଂ ପ୍ରେମ କର୍ତ୍ତୱ୍ୟଂ|

12 Not as Cain, [who] was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

ପାପାତ୍ମତୋ ଜାତୋ ଯଃ କାବିଲ୍ ସ୍ୱଭ୍ରାତରଂ ହତୱାନ୍ ତତ୍ସଦୃଶୈରସ୍ମାଭି ର୍ନ ଭୱିତୱ୍ୟଂ| ସ କସ୍ମାତ୍ କାରଣାତ୍ ତଂ ହତୱାନ୍? ତସ୍ୟ କର୍ମ୍ମାଣି ଦୁଷ୍ଟାନି ତଦ୍ଭ୍ରାତୁଶ୍ଚ କର୍ମ୍ମାଣି ଧର୍ମ୍ମାଣ୍ୟାସନ୍ ଇତି କାରଣାତ୍|

13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

ହେ ମମ ଭ୍ରାତରଃ, ସଂସାରୋ ଯଦି ଯୁଷ୍ମାନ୍ ଦ୍ୱେଷ୍ଟି ତର୍ହି ତଦ୍ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ୟଂ ନ ମନ୍ୟଧ୍ୱଂ|

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not [his] brother, abideth in death.

ୱଯଂ ମୃତ୍ୟୁମ୍ ଉତ୍ତୀର୍ୟ୍ୟ ଜୀୱନଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତୱନ୍ତସ୍ତଦ୍ ଭ୍ରାତୃଷୁ ପ୍ରେମକରଣାତ୍ ଜାନୀମଃ| ଭ୍ରାତରି ଯୋ ନ ପ୍ରୀଯତେ ସ ମୃତ୍ୟୌ ତିଷ୍ଠତି|

15 Whoever hateth his brother, is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (aiōnios g166)

ଯଃ କଶ୍ଚିତ୍ ସ୍ୱଭ୍ରାତରଂ ଦ୍ୱେଷ୍ଟି ସଂ ନରଘାତୀ କିଞ୍ଚାନନ୍ତଜୀୱନଂ ନରଘାତିନଃ କସ୍ୟାପ୍ୟନ୍ତରେ ନାୱତିଷ୍ଠତେ ତଦ୍ ଯୂଯଂ ଜାନୀଥ| (aiōnios g166)

16 By this we perceive the love [of God], because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren.

ଅସ୍ମାକଂ କୃତେ ସ ସ୍ୱପ୍ରାଣାଂସ୍ତ୍ୟକ୍ତୱାନ୍ ଇତ୍ୟନେନ ୱଯଂ ପ୍ରେମ୍ନସ୍ତତ୍ତ୍ୱମ୍ ଅୱଗତାଃ, ଅପରଂ ଭ୍ରାତୃଣାଂ କୃତେ ଽସ୍ମାଭିରପି ପ୍ରାଣାସ୍ତ୍ୟକ୍ତୱ୍ୟାଃ|

17 But he who hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

ସାଂସାରିକଜୀୱିକାପ୍ରାପ୍ତୋ ଯୋ ଜନଃ ସ୍ୱଭ୍ରାତରଂ ଦୀନଂ ଦୃଷ୍ଟ୍ୱା ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ସ୍ୱୀଯଦଯାଂ ରୁଣଦ୍ଧି ତସ୍ୟାନ୍ତର ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେମ କଥଂ ତିଷ୍ଠେତ୍?

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

ହେ ମମ ପ୍ରିଯବାଲକାଃ, ୱାକ୍ୟେନ ଜିହ୍ୱଯା ୱାସ୍ମାଭିଃ ପ୍ରେମ ନ କର୍ତ୍ତୱ୍ୟଂ କିନ୍ତୁ କାର୍ୟ୍ୟେଣ ସତ୍ୟତଯା ଚୈୱ|

19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

ଏତେନ ୱଯଂ ଯତ୍ ସତ୍ୟମତସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀଯାସ୍ତତ୍ ଜାନୀମସ୍ତସ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତ୍ ସ୍ୱାନ୍ତଃକରଣାନି ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱଯିତୁଂ ଶକ୍ଷ୍ୟାମଶ୍ଚ|

20 For if our heart condemneth us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

ଯତୋ ଽସ୍ମଦନ୍ତଃକରଣଂ ଯଦ୍ୟସ୍ମାନ୍ ଦୂଷଯତି ତର୍ହ୍ୟସ୍ମଦନ୍ତଃ କରଣାଦ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରୋ ମହାନ୍ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱଜ୍ଞଶ୍ଚ|

21 Beloved, if our heart doth not condemn us, [then] have we confidence towards God.

ହେ ପ୍ରିଯତମାଃ, ଅସ୍ମଦନ୍ତଃକରଣଂ ଯଦ୍ୟସ୍ମାନ୍ ନ ଦୂଷଯତି ତର୍ହି ୱଯମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତ୍ ପ୍ରତିଭାନ୍ୱିତା ଭୱାମଃ|

22 And whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

ଯଚ୍ଚ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥଯାମହେ ତତ୍ ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ପ୍ରାପ୍ନୁମଃ, ଯତୋ ୱଯଂ ତସ୍ୟାଜ୍ଞାଃ ପାଲଯାମସ୍ତସ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତ୍ ତୁଷ୍ଟିଜନକମ୍ ଆଚାରଂ କୁର୍ମ୍ମଶ୍ଚ|

23 And this is his commandment; That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

ଅପରଂ ତସ୍ୟେଯମାଜ୍ଞା ଯଦ୍ ୱଯଂ ପୁତ୍ରସ୍ୟ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟସ୍ୟ ନାମ୍ନି ୱିଶ୍ୱସିମସ୍ତସ୍ୟାଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେଣ ଚ ପରସ୍ପରଂ ପ୍ରେମ କୁର୍ମ୍ମଃ|

24 And he that keepeth his commandments, dwelleth in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

ଯଶ୍ଚ ତସ୍ୟାଜ୍ଞାଃ ପାଲଯତି ସ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ତିଷ୍ଠତି ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ସୋଽପି ତିଷ୍ଠତି; ସ ଚାସ୍ମାନ୍ ଯମ୍ ଆତ୍ମାନଂ ଦତ୍ତୱାନ୍ ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ସୋ ଽସ୍ମାସୁ ତିଷ୍ଠତୀତି ଜାନୀମଃ|
