Psalms 145

1 David’s Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

Dicsérő dal Dávidtól. Hadd magasztallak, Istenem, oh király, s hadd áldom nevedet mindörökké.

2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Mindennap hadd áldalak téged, s dicsérem nevedet mindörökké.

3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

Nagy az Örökkévaló és dicséretes nagyon, és kikutathatatlan az ő nagysága.

4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

Nemzedék nemzedéknek dicsőíti műveidet és hatalmas tetteidet hirdetik.

5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

Fenséges dicsőséged díszén és csodatetteid dolgain hadd gondolkodom el.

6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.

S félelmes tetteid erejéről szóljanak, és nágyságodat hadd beszélem el.

7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

Nagy jóságod hírét ömleszszék, és igazságodon ujjongjanak.

8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

Kegyelmes és irgalmas az Örökkévaló, hosszantűrő és nagy szeretetű.

9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

Jóságos az Örökkévaló mindenekhez, és irgalma rajta van mind az ő művein.

10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

Magasztalnak téged, Örökkévaló, mind a műveid, és jámboraid áldanak téged.

11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

Királyságod dicsőségéről szólnak, és hatalmadat elmondják,

12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

hogy tudassák az ember fiaival hatalmas tetteit, és királysága díszének dicaőségét.

13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

Királyságod minden időknek királysága, és uralmad minden nemzedékben meg nemzedékben.

14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that are bowed down.

Támogatja az Örökkévaló mind az elesőket, s fölegyenesíti mind a görnyedteket.

15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their food in due season.

Mindenek szemei hozzád reménykednek, s te megadod nekik eledelöket a maga idején.

16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living creature.

Megnyitod kezedet és jóllakatsz minden élőt jóakarattal.

17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Igazságos az Örökkévaló mind az útjain és kegyes mind az ő művei iránt.

18 The LORD is near to all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Közel van az Örökkévaló mind a szólítóihoz, mindazokhoz, kik igazán szólítják.

19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Tisztelőinek akaratát megteszi s fohászukat hallja és megsegíti őket.

20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Megőrzi az Örökkévaló mindazokat, a kik őt szeretik, de mind a gonoszokat megsemmisíti.

21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

Az Örökkévaló dicséretét mondja el szájam, és áldja minden halandó szentséges nevét mindörökké!
