< Job 13 >

1 Lo, my eye hath seen all this, my ear hath heard and understood it.
“Mʼani ahu eyinom nyinaa, mʼaso ate, na ate ase.
2 What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior to you.
Nea wunim no, me nso minim; wonyɛ abomfiaa mma me.
3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
Nanso mepɛ sɛ mekasa kyerɛ Otumfo no na mekyerɛkyerɛ mʼasɛm mu kyerɛ Onyankopɔn.
4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
Mode atoro mmom na asra me ho; mo nyinaa moyɛ ayaresafo a munsi hwee!
5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
Sɛ mobɛyɛ komm koraa a ɛno na ɛbɛyɛ nyansa ama mo!
6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
Afei muntie mʼano asɛm; muntie mʼanoyi.
7 Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
Mobɛka amumɔyɛsɛm ama Onyankopɔn ana? Mobɛka nnaadaasɛm ama no ana?
8 Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
Mobɛkyea mo aso ama no? Mobɛka Onyankopɔn asɛm ama no ana?
9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
Sɛ ɔhwehwɛ mo mu a, ebesi mo yiye ana? Mubetumi adaadaa no sɛnea modaadaa nnipa no ana?
10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
Sɛ mokyeaa mo aso wɔ kokoa mu a, sɛnea ɛte biara, ɔbɛka mo anim
11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
Nʼanuonyam mmɔ mo hu ana? Ne ho suro ntɔ mo so ana?
12 Your remembrances are like ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
Mo kasatɔmmɛ yɛ mmɛbu a ɛte sɛ nsõ; mo anoyi yɛ dɔte twann anoyi.
13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
“Monyɛ komm mma menkasa; na nea ɛbɛyɛ me biara mmra me so.
14 Why do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
Adɛn nti na mede me ho to amane mu na mede me nkwa to me nsam?
15 Though he shall slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will defend my own ways before him.
Ɛwɔ mu sɛ okum me de, nanso ne so na mʼani bɛda; ampa ara medi mʼakwan ho adanse wɔ nʼanim.
16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
Nokware, eyi na ɛbɛyɛ me nkwagye, efisɛ nea onsuro Onyankopɔn no rentumi nkɔ nʼanim!
17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
Muntie me nsɛm yi yiye; monyɛ aso mma nea meka.
18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
Afei a masiesie me nkurobɔ yi, minim sɛ medi bem.
19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
Obi betumi abɔ me kwaadu ana? Sɛ ɛte saa de a, anka mɛyɛ komm na mawu.
20 Only do not two things to me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
“Onyankopɔn, yɛ saa nneɛma abien yi pɛ ma me, na afei meremfa me ho nhintaw wo:
21 Withdraw thy hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
Yi wo nsa fi me so kɔ akyirikyiri, na gyae wo ho hu a wode hunahuna me no.
22 Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
Ɛno de, samena me na mɛba, anaa ma menkasa na bua me.
23 How many are my iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
Mfomso ne bɔne dodow ahe na mayɛ? Kyerɛ me me mfomso ne me bɔne.
24 Why hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thy enemy?
Adɛn nti na wode wʼanim asie me na wudwen sɛ meyɛ wo tamfo?
25 Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
Wobɛyɛ ahaban a mframa rebɔ no ayayade ana? Wobɛtaa ntɛtɛ a awo ana?
26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
Wokyerɛw sobo a ɛyɛ yaw tia me, na woka me mmabunmmere mu bɔne nyinaa gu me so.
27 Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and observest carefully all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
Wode nkyehama gu mʼanan; wohwɛ mʼanammɔnkwan nyinaa so yiye na wode agyiraehyɛde ayeyɛ mʼanammɔn mu.
28 And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.
“Enti onipa nkwa sa te sɛ ade a aporɔw, te sɛ atade a nwewee adi.
