Ecclesiastes 6
1 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men:
| بارگرانییەکم لەسەر زەوی بینیوە کە ئادەمیزاد خراپ گیرۆدە بوون بە دەستیەوە، |
2 A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he lacketh nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat of it, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
| کەسێک خودا دەوڵەمەندی و سامان و ڕێزی پێدابێت و هیچ کەمی نەبێت لەوەی گیانی ئارەزووی دەکات، بەڵام خودا دەسەڵاتی پێنەداوە بۆ ئەوەی بیخوات، بەڵکو بێگانە دەیخوات، ئەمە بێ واتایە و دەردێکی خراپە. |
3 If a man begetteth an hundred children, and liveth many years, so that the days of his years are many, and his soul is not filled with good, and also that he hath no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
| ئەگەر کەسێک سەد منداڵی هەبێت و ساڵانێکی زۆر بژیێت و تەمەنی زۆر بێت، بەڵام گیانی تێر خۆشی نەبێت و هەروەها ناشتنی بۆ نەبێت، دەڵێم: لەبارچووێک لەو باشترە، |
4 For he cometh with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness.
| چونکە بێ واتایانە دێت و بە تاریکیدا دەڕوات، ناویشی بە تاریکی دادەپۆشرێت. |
5 Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing: this hath more rest than the other.
| هەروەها نە خۆری بینی و نە دەشزانێت، ئەم ئاسوودەترە لەو کەسە. |
6 Yea, though he liveth a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
| ئەگەر هەزار ساڵ دووبارەش بژیێت بەڵام خۆشی نەبینێت، ئایا هەمووان بۆ یەک شوێن ناڕۆن؟ |
7 All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
| هەموو ماندووبوونی مرۆڤ بۆ دەمییەتی، بەڵام هەرگیز تێر ناخوات. |
8 For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living?
| دانا چی لە گێل زیاترە؟ چی یارمەتی هەژار دەدات کە ئەو بزانێت چۆن هەڵسوکەوت بکات لەگەڵ ئەوانەی کە لە ژیاندان؟ |
9 Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
| ئەوەی هەتە و لەبەرچاوتە باشترە لەوەی کە نیتە و ئارەزووت لێیەتی. ئەمەش بێ واتایە و گڤەی بایە. |
10 That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.
| ئەوەی هەبووە لە کۆنەوە ناوی لێنراوە و زانراوە. مرۆڤ ناتوانێت ململانێ لەگەڵ یەکێک بکات کە لە خۆی بەهێزترە. |
11 Seeing there are many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?
| ئەوەندە قسە زیاد دەبێت، ئەوەندە سوودی کەم دەبێتەوە، جا مرۆڤ چی بۆ دەمێنێتەوە؟ |
12 For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
| کێ دەزانێت چی باشە بۆ مرۆڤ لە ژیاندا کە درێژی تەمەنی بێ واتا وەک سێبەر بەسەردەچێت؟ کێ بە مرۆڤ ڕادەگەیەنێت پاش ئەو لەسەر زەوی چی ڕوودەدات؟ |
