Jeremiah 41
1 But it happened that in the seventh month Ishmael son of Nethaniah son of Elishama, from the royal family, and some officers of the king, came—ten men were with him—to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, at Mizpah. They ate food together there in Mizpah.
১পাছে সপ্তম মাহত, ৰজাৰ প্ৰধান বিষয়াসকলৰ মাজত গণিত হোৱা ৰাজবংশীয় ইলীচামাৰ নাতিয়েক নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে দহজন লোকক লগত লৈ, মিস্পালৈ অহীকামৰ পুত্ৰ গদলিয়াৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিল আৰু তেওঁলোকে মিস্পাত একেলগে ভোজন কৰিলে।
2 But Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him rose up and attacked Gedaliah son of Ahikam son of Shaphan, with the sword. Ishmael killed Gedaliah, whom the king of Babylon had put in charge of the land.
২পাছত নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েল আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত থকা সেই দহজন লোকে উঠি, বাবিলৰ ৰজাই দেশৰ শাসনকৰ্ত্তা নিযুক্ত কৰা চাফনৰ নাতিয়েক অহীকামৰ পুত্ৰ সেই গদলিয়াক তৰোৱালেৰে বধ কৰিলে।
3 Then Ishmael killed all the Judeans who were with Gedaliah in Mizpah and the Chaldean fighting men found there.
৩আৰু মিস্পাত গদলিয়াৰ লগত থকা সকলো যিহুদীক আৰু তাত পোৱা যুদ্ধাৰু কলদীয়াসকলকো ইশ্মায়েলে বধ কৰিলে।
4 Then it was the second day after the killing of Gedaliah, but no one knew.
৪তেতিয়া গদলিয়াক বধ কৰাৰ পিছৰ দিন আছিল, তেতিয়া সেই কথা কোনো মানুহে জনা নাছিল।
5 Some men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria—eighty men who had shaved their beard, torn their clothes, and cut themselves—with food offerings and frankincense in their hands to go to Yahweh's house.
৫চিখিম, চীলো আৰু চমৰিয়াৰ পৰা অহা সম্পূর্ণ ডাঢ়ি খুৰুউৱা, পিন্ধা কাপোৰ ছিৰা আৰু নিজ নিজ গা কাটকুট কৰা আশী জন মানুহ যিহোৱাৰ গৃহত উৎসৰ্গ কৰিবলৈ হাতত নৈবেদ্য আৰু ধূপ লৈ আহিছিল।
6 So Ishmael son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them as they went, walking and weeping. Then it happened that as he encountered them, he said to them, “Come to Gedaliah son of Ahikam!”
৬পাছত নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে তেওঁলোকৰ লগত সাক্ষাত কৰিবলৈ মিস্পাৰ পৰা কান্দি কান্দি ওলাই গ’ল; আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ সাক্ষাত হৈ তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “অহীকামৰ পুত্ৰ গদলিয়াৰ ওচৰলৈ আহাঁ!”
7 It came about that when they came into the city, Ishmael son of Nethaniah slaughtered them and threw them into a pit, he and the men who were with him.

8 But there were ten men among them who said to Ishmael, “Do not kill us, for there are provisions of ours in a field: Wheat and barley, oil and honey.” So he did not kill them with their other companions.

9 The cistern where Ishmael threw all the dead bodies that he had killed, was a large cistern that King Asa dug to make a defense against King Baasha of Israel. Ishmael son of Nethaniah filled it in with the dead.
৯যি গাতত ইশ্মায়েলে নিজে বধ কৰা সকলো মানুহৰ মৰা শৱ গদলিয়াৰ শৱৰ কাষত পেলাই দিছিল, সেই গাত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বাচা ৰজাৰ ভয়ত আচা ৰজাই খনোৱা গাত আছিল; নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে ইয়াক বধ কৰা লোকৰ শৱেৰে পূৰ কৰিলে।
10 Next Ishmael captured all the other people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people who were left in Mizpah whom Nebuzaradan the chief guard had assigned to Gedaliah son of Ahikam. So Ishmael son of Nethaniah captured them and went to cross over to the people of Ammon.
১০পাছত ইশ্মায়েলে মিস্পাত অৱশিষ্ট থকা সকলো লোকক, নবুজৰদান ৰক্ষক-সেনাপতিয়ে অহীকামৰ পুত্ৰ গদলিয়াৰ হাতত গতাই দিয়া ৰাজবংশীয় জীয়াৰীসকল আদি কৰি মিস্পাত অৱশিষ্ট থকা সকলো লোকক বন্দী কৰি নিলে; নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে তেওঁলোকক বন্দী কৰি লৈ অম্মোনৰ সন্তান সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ যাবলৈ প্ৰস্থান কৰিলে।
11 But Johanan son of Kareah and all the army commanders with him heard of all the harm that Ishmael son of Nethaniah had done.
১১কিন্তু কাৰেহৰ পুতেক যোহাননে আৰু তেওঁৰ লগত থকা ফৌজৰ সকলো সেনাপতিয়ে, নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে কৰা আটাই কুকৰ্মৰ কথা শুনিবলৈ পালে।
12 So they took all their men and went to fight against Ishmael son of Nethaniah. They found him at the great pool of Gibeon.
১২তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে সকলো মানুহক লগত লৈ নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে সৈতে যুদ্ধ কৰিবলৈ গ’ল আৰু গিবিয়োনৰ থকা বৰ পুখুৰীৰ ওচৰত তেওঁক দেখা পালে।
13 Then it happened that when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan son of Kareah and all the army commanders who were with him, they were very happy.
১৩পাছত যেতিয়া ইশ্মায়েলৰ লগত থকা সকলো লোকসকলে, কাৰেহৰ পুতেক যোহাননক আৰু তেওঁৰ লগৰ ফৌজৰ সেনাপতিসকলক দেখিবলৈ পালে, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোক আনন্দিত হ’ল।
14 So all the people whom Ishmael had captured at Mizpah turned around and went to Johanan son of Kareah.
১৪আৰু ইশ্মায়েলে মিস্পাৰ পৰা বন্দী কৰি নিয়া সকলো লোকে মুখ ঘূৰাই কাৰেহৰ পুতেক যোহাননৰ গুৰিলৈ উলটি আহিল।
15 But Ishmael son of Nethaniah fled with eight men from Johanan. He went to the people of Ammon.
১৫কিন্তু নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েল আঠোটা মানুহে সৈতে যোহাননৰ আগৰ পৰা পলাই অম্মোনৰ সন্তান সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ গ’ল।
16 Johanan son of Kareah and all the army commanders with him took from Mizpah all the people who had been rescued from Ishmael son of Nethaniah. This was after Ishmael had killed Gedaliah son of Ahikam. Johanan and his companions took the strong men, the fighting men, the women and children, and the eunuchs who had been rescued at Gibeon.
১৬নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে অহীকামৰ পুত্ৰ গদলিয়াক বধ কৰাৰ পাছত, তাৰ হাতৰ পৰা কাৰেহৰ পুতেক যোহাননে আৰু তেওঁৰ লগৰ সেনাপতিসকলে যিসকল অৱশিষ্ট লোক মিস্পাৰ পৰা এৰুৱাই ওভটাই আনিছিল, তেওঁলোকক অৰ্থাৎ যুদ্ধ কৰিব পৰা পুৰুষসকলক আৰু গিবিয়োনৰ পৰা অনা মহিলা, ল’ৰা আৰু নপুংসকসকলক তেওঁলোকে লগত ল’লে।
17 Then they went and stayed for a while in Geruth Kimham, which is near Bethlehem. They were going to go to Egypt

18 because of the Chaldeans. They were afraid of them since Ishmael son of Nethaniah had killed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had put in charge of the land.
১৮কিয়নো তেওঁলোকে তেওঁলোকলৈ ভয় কৰিছিল; কাৰণ নথনিয়াৰ পুতেক ইশ্মায়েলে বাবিলৰ ৰজাই দেশৰ ওপৰত শাসনকৰ্ত্তা নিযুক্ত কৰা অহীকামৰ পুত্ৰ গদলিয়াক বধ কৰিছিল।
