2 Samuel 4

1 When Ishbosheth, Saul's son, heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands became weak, and all Israel was troubled.

১যেতিয়া চৌলৰ পুত্ৰ ঈচ্‌বোচতে অবনেৰ’ৰ মৃত্যু হিব্ৰোণত হোৱা কথাষাৰ শুনিলে, তেওঁৰ হাত দূৰ্ব্বল হ’ল আৰু আটাই ইস্ৰায়েল চিন্তিত হ’ল।

2 Now Saul's son had two men who were captains of groups of soldiers. The name of one was Baanah and the other Recab, sons of Rimmon the Beerothite of the people of Benjamin (for Beeroth is also considered part of Benjamin,

3 and the Beerothites fled to Gittaim and have been living there until this very time).

4 Now Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son who was crippled in his feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel. His nurse picked him up to flee. But as she was running, Jonathan's son fell and became lame. His name was Mephibosheth.

৪চৌলৰ পুত্ৰ যোনাথনৰ, দুয়োখন ভৰি খোৰা হোৱা এজন পুত্ৰ আছিল। যিজ্ৰিয়েলৰ পৰা যেতিয়া চৌল আৰু যোনাথনৰ মৃত্যুৰ সম্বাদ আহিছিল, তেতিয়া ল’ৰাজনৰ পাঁচ বছৰ বয়স আছিল৷ সেই ল’ৰাজনৰ শুশ্ৰূষাকাৰিণীয়ে তাক লৈ পলাই গৈছিল৷ কিন্তু শুশ্ৰূষাকাৰিণীয়ে বেগেৰে পলাই যাওঁতে যোনাথনৰ পুত্ৰ পৰি আঘাত পোৱাত খোৰা হৈছিল। তাৰ নাম মফিবোচৎ আছিল।

5 So the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Recab and Baanah, traveled during the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, as he was resting at noon.

৫পাছত বেৰোতীয়া ৰিম্মোনৰ সেই দুজন পুত্ৰ ৰেখব আৰু বানাই দিনৰ টান ৰ’দৰ কালত যাত্ৰা কৰি ঈচ্‌বোচতৰ ঘৰ পালেগৈ, তেতিয়া দুপৰ বেলাৰ সময়, যেতিয়া তেওঁ জিৰণি লৈ আছিল।

6 The woman guarding the door had fallen asleep while sifting wheat, and Recab and Baanah walked in quietly and passed her.

৬তাতে ঘেহুঁধান চালি থকা সময়ত, দুৱাৰত ৰখীয়া হৈ থকা এগৰাকি মহিলাই টোপনি যোৱাত, ৰেখব আৰু বানাই নিৰৱে তাইৰ কাষেৰে পাৰ হৈ গ’ল৷

7 So after they entered the house, they attacked him and killed him as he was lying on his bed in his room. Then they cut off his head and carried it away, traveling on the road all night to the Arabah.

৭তাতে তেওঁৰ শোৱা কোঠালিত নিজ খাটত শুই থাকোঁতেই, তেওঁলোকে ভিতৰলৈ সোমাই গৈ আঘাত কৰি তেওঁক বধ কৰিলে৷ পাছত তেওঁৰ মূৰ কাটি, সেই মূৰ লৈ অৰাবাৰ বাটেদি ওৰে ৰাতি যাত্ৰা কৰিলে।

8 They brought the head of Ishbosheth to David at Hebron, and they said to the king, “Look, this is the head of Ishbosheth son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life. Today Yahweh has avenged our master the king against Saul and his descendants.”

৮তেওঁলোকে ঈচ্‌বোচতৰ মূৰটো হিব্ৰোণত থকা দায়ূদৰ ওচৰলৈ নি ৰজাক ক’লে, “চাওঁক, আপোনাৰ প্ৰাণ নাশৰ চেষ্টা কৰা চৌলৰ পুত্ৰ ঈচ্‌বোচতৰ মুৰ এইয়া। যিহোৱাই আজি মোৰ প্ৰভু মহাৰাজৰ পক্ষে চৌল আৰু তেওঁৰ বংশৰ ওপৰত প্ৰতিকাৰ সাধিলে।”

9 David answered Recab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite; he said to them, “As Yahweh lives, who delivered my life from every trouble,

৯কিন্তু দায়ূদে বেৰোতীয়া ৰিম্মোনৰ পুতেক ৰেখব আৰু তাৰ ককায়েক বানাক এই উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “যিজন সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বৰে সকলো সঙ্কটৰ পৰা মোৰ প্ৰাণ উদ্ধাৰ কৰিলে, সেই যিহোৱাৰ জীৱনৰ শপত,

10 when someone told me, 'Look, Saul is dead,' thinking he was bringing good news, I seized him and killed him at Ziklag. That was the reward I gave him for his news.

১০যেতিয়া কোনো এজন মানুহে বৰ ভাল খবৰ আনিছো বুলি ভাবি মোক কৈছিল, ‘চাওঁক, চৌল মৰিল’, তেতিয়া মই তেওঁক ধৰি চিক্লগত বধ কৰিলোঁ আৰু এইটোৱেই বাতৰি অনাৰ বাবে তেওঁক মই দিয়া তেওঁৰ পুৰস্কাৰ আছিল।

11 How much more, when wicked men have killed an innocent person in his own house on his bed, should I not now require his blood from your hand, and remove you from the earth?”

১১পাছত, দুষ্টবোৰে এজন নিৰ্দোষীলোকক তেওঁৰ ঘৰৰ ভিতৰত সোমাই তেওঁ খাটত শুই থাকোতে তেওঁক যদি বধ কৰে, তেনেহ’লে তোমালোকৰ হাতৰ পৰা তেওঁৰ ৰক্তপাতৰ প্ৰতিশোধ তাতকৈ অধিক নল’ম নে? আৰু তোমালোকক পৃথিৱীৰ পৰা উচ্ছন্ন নকৰিম নে?”

12 Then David gave orders to the young men, and they killed them and cut off their hands and feet and hung them up beside the pool at Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth and buried it in the grave of Abner in Hebron.

১২তেতিয়া দায়ূদে তেওঁৰ ডেকাসকলক আজ্ঞা কৰাত, তেওঁলোকক বধ কৰি তেওঁলোকৰ হাত-ভৰি কাটি পেলালে আৰু হিব্ৰোণৰ পুখুৰীৰ পাৰত তেওঁলোকৰ শৱ আৰি হ’ল৷ কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে ঈচ্‌বোচতৰ মূৰটো লৈ হিব্ৰোণত থকা অবনেৰ’ৰ মৈদামতে মৈদাম দিলে।
