Hebrews 6
1 Wherfore let vs leave ye doctryne pertayninge to the beginninge of a Christen man and let vs go vnto perfeccio and now no more laye the foundacio of repentaunce from deed workes and of fayth towarde God
Ezért elhagyva a Krisztusról való kezdetleges tanítást, törekedjünk érett korúságra, ne rakjuk le újra alapját a holt cselekedetekből való megtérésnek és az Istenbe való hitnek,
2 of baptyme of doctryne and of layinge on of hondes and of resurreccion from deeth and of eternall iudgemet. (aiōnios g166)
a mosakodásokról, kézrátételekről, a halottak feltámadásáról és az örök ítéletről szóló tanításnak. (aiōnios g166)
3 And so will we do yf God permitte.
Ezt meg is tesszük, ha Isten megengedi.
4 For it is not possible yt they which were once lyghted and have tasted of the hevenly gyft and were become partetakers of the holy goost
Mert az lehetetlen, hogy akik egyszer megvilágosíttattak, megízlelve a mennyei ajándékot, és részeseivé lettek a Szentléleknek,
és megízlelték Istennek jó beszédét és a jövendő világnak erőit, (aiōn g165)
6 yf they faule shuld be renued agayne vnto repentaunce: for as moche as they have (as concerninge them selves) crucified the sonne of God a fresshe makynge a mocke of him.
de elestek, ismét megújuljanak a megtérésre, mint akik maguknak újra megfeszítik Isten Fiát, és meggyalázzák őt.
7 For that erth which drinketh in the rayne wich cometh ofte vpon it and bringeth forth erbes mete for them that dresse it receaveth blessynge of god.
Mert a föld, amely beissza a gyakran ráhulló esőt, és hasznos termést hoz azoknak, akiknek a számára művelik, áldást nyer Istentől.
8 But that grounde which beareth thornes and bryars is reproved and is nye vnto cursynge: whose ende is to be burned.
Amely pedig tövist és bogáncsot terem, az megvetett és átokra méltó s végül fölégetik.
9 Neverthelesse deare frendes we trust to se better of you and thynges which accompany saluacion though we thus speake.
De rólatok, szeretteim, ha így szólunk is, ezeknél jobbról vagyunk meggyőződve, hogy eljuttok az üdvösségre.
10 For god is not vnrighteous that he shuld forget youre worke and laboure that procedeth of love which love shewed in his name which have ministred vnto the saynctes and yet minister
Mert nem igazságtalan az Isten, hogy elfeledkezne a ti cselekedeteitekről és a szeretetről, amelyet neve iránt tanúsíttok, amikor szolgáltatok és szolgáltok a szenteknek.
11 Yee and we desyre that every one of you shew the same diligence to the stablysshynge of hope even vnto the ende:
Azt kívánjuk, hogy közületek mindenki ugyanazt a buzgóságot tanúsítsa mindvégig, míg a reménység bizonyossággá nem lesz.
12 that ye faynt not but folowe them which thorow fayth and pacience inheret the promyses.
Ne legyetek restek, hanem kövessétek azokat, akik a hit és béketűrés által öröklik az ígéreteket.
13 For when god made promes to Abraham because he had no greater thinge to sweare by he sware by him silfe
Amikor Isten ígéretet tett Ábrahámnak, mivel nem esküdhetett nagyobbra, önmagára esküdött,
14 sayinge: Surely I will blesse the and multiply the in dede.
és így szólt: „Bizony megáldván megáldalak téged, és megsokasítván megsokasítlak téged!“
15 And so after that he had taryed a longe tyme he enioyed the promes.
És így, miután béketűréssel várt, elnyerte az ígéretet.
16 Men verely sweare by him that is greater then them selves and an othe to confyrme the thynge ys amonge them an ende of all stryfe.
Mert az emberek önmaguknál nagyobbra esküsznek, és náluk minden vitának vége a megerősítésül mondott eskü.
17 So god willynge very aboundanly to shewe vnto the heyres of promes the stablenes of his counsayle he added an othe
Ezért Isten is még nyomatékosabban akarva megmutatni az ígéret örököseinek döntése változtathatatlan voltát, esküvel kezeskedett arról.
18 that by two immutable thinges (in which it was vnpossible that god shuld lye) we myght have parfect consolacion which have fled for to holde fast the hope that is set before vs
Így e két változhatatlan tény által, amelyekre nézve lehetetlen, hogy az Isten hazudjon, erős vigasztalásunk legyen nekünk, akik odamenekültünk, hogy megragadjuk az előttünk lévő reménységet,
19 which hope we have as an ancre of the soule both sure and stedfast. Which hope also entreth in into tho thynges which are with in the vayle
amely lelkünknek biztos és erős horgonya, amely a kárpit mögé hatol,
