2 Corinthians 4
1 Therefore, since it is by God’s mercy that we are engaged in this ministry, we do not lose heart.
Por esto, como nosotros tenemos este ministerio según la misericordia que nos fue mostrada, no desmayamos.
2 No, we have renounced the secrecy prompted by shame, refusing to adopt crafty ways, or to tamper with God’s Message, and commending ourselves to every man’s conscience, in the sight of God, by our exhibition of the Truth.
Nos apartamos de lo oculto y vergonzoso. No andamos con astucia ni adulteramos la Palabra de Dios. Manifestamos la verdad y nos encomendamos a toda conciencia humana para la manifestación de la verdad delante de Dios.
3 And, even if the Good News that we bring is veiled, it is veiled only in the case of those who are on the path to Ruin —
Si nuestras Buenas Noticias están aún encubiertas, entre los que se pierden están encubiertas.
4 Men whose minds have been blinded by the God of this Age, unbelievers as they are, so that the light from the Good News of the glory of the Christ, who is the very incarnation of God, should not shine for them. (aiōn g165)
El dios de este mundo cegó las mentes de los incrédulos para que no vean la iluminación de las Buenas Noticias de la gloria de Cristo, Quien es [la ]Imagen de Dios. (aiōn g165)
5 (For it is not ourselves that we proclaim, but Christ Jesus, as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.)
Porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Jesucristo como Señor, y a nosotros mismos como esclavos de ustedes por causa de Jesús.
6 Indeed, the same God who said ‘Out of darkness light shall shine,’ has shone in upon our hearts, so that we should bring out into the light the knowledge of the glory of God, seen in the face of Christ.
Porque Dios, Quien ordenó que la Luz resplandezca de la oscuridad, resplandeció en nuestros corazones para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Cristo.
7 This treasure we have in these earthen vessels, that its all-prevailing power may be seen to come from God, and not to be our own.
Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la extraordinaria cualidad del poder sea de Dios y no de nosotros,
8 Though hard pressed on every side, we are never hemmed in; through perplexed, never driven to despair;
quienes estamos oprimidos en todo, pero no angustiados; inciertos, pero no desesperados;
9 though pursued, never abandoned; though struck down, never killed!
perseguidos, pero no abandonados; derribados, pero no destruidos.
10 We always bear on our bodies the marks of the death that Jesus died, so that the Life also of Jesus may be exhibited in our bodies.
Siempre llevamos por todas partes la muerte de Jesús en el cuerpo, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo.
11 Indeed, we who still live are continually being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the Life also of Jesus may be exhibited in our mortal nature.
Porque nosotros, los que vivimos, somos entregados constantemente a la muerte por causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo mortal.
12 And so, while death is at work within us, Life is at work within you.
De modo que la muerte actúa en nosotros, pero la vida en ustedes.
13 But, in the same spirit of faith as that expressed in the words — ‘I believed, and therefore I spoke,’ we, also believe, and therefore speak.
Pero tenemos el mismo espíritu de fe, según lo que está escrito: Creí, por tanto hablé. También nosotros creemos, por tanto hablamos.
14 For we know that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with him, and will bring us, with you, into his presence.
Sabemos que el que resucitó al Señor Jesús, también nos resucitará y nos presentará con ustedes por medio de Jesús.
15 For all this is for your sakes, that the loving-kindness of God, spreading from heart to heart, may cause yet more hearts to overflow with thanksgiving, to his glory.
Porque todas las cosas son por amor a ustedes, para que al abundar la gracia por medio de muchos, la acción de gracias sea más que suficiente para la gloria de Dios.
16 Therefore, as I said, we do not lose heart. No, even though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
Por tanto, no desfallecemos. Más bien, aunque nuestro aspecto exterior es desgastado, sin embargo, el interior es renovado de día en día.
17 The light burden of our momentary trouble is preparing for us, in measure transcending thought, a weight of imperishable glory; (aiōnios g166)
Porque esta leve aflicción momentánea se nos reproduce en un peso eterno de resplandor de extraordinaria calidad, (aiōnios g166)
18 we, all the while, gazing not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; for what is seen is transient, but what is unseen is imperishable. (aiōnios g166)
al nosotros no mirar las cosas que se ven, sino las que no se ven. Porque las que se ven son temporales, pero las que no se ven son eternas. (aiōnios g166)
