Luke 13
1 NOW at that time came some and told him of the Galiloyee, they whose blood Pilatos had mingled with their sacrifices.
さて，ちょうどその時，ガリラヤ人たちのことを彼に報告した。ピラトが彼らの血を彼らの犠牲と混ぜたのである。
2 Jeshu answered and said to them, Think you that these Galiloyee were sinners more than all the Galiloyee, that thus it was (with) them?
イエスは彼らに答えた，「あなた方は，彼らがこのような災難に遭ったからといって，これらのガリラヤ人たちがほかのすべてのガリラヤ人たちよりも罪人だったと思うのか。
3 No; but I tell you that all of you also, if you repent not, will thus perish.
あなた方に告げるが，そうではない。むしろ，あなた方も悔い改めなければ，みな同じように滅びるだろう。
4 Or those eighteen on whom fell the tower in Silucha, and killed them; think you that they were sinners above all men who dwell in Urishlem?
あるいは，シロアムの塔が倒れて押し殺されたあの十八人は，エルサレムに住むすべての人たちよりも違反の多い者だったと思うのか。
5 No; but I tell you that, if you repent not, all of you likewise shall perish.
あなた方に告げるが，そうではない。むしろ，あなた方も悔い改めなければ，みな同じように滅びるだろう」 。
6 And he spake this parable: A man had a fig-tree which was planted in his vinery: and he came and sought fruits on it, but did not find.
彼は次のたとえを話した。「ある人が，自分のブドウ園に植えた一本のイチジクの木を持っていた。彼はそこに実を探しに来たが，何も見つからなかった。
7 And he said to the husbandman, Behold, three years come I seeking fruits from this fig-tree, but I have not found: cut it down; why maketh it the ground useless?
彼はブドウの栽培人に言った，『見ろ，この三年間，このイチジクの木に実を探しに来ているのに，何も見つからなかった。これを切り倒してしまえ。なぜこれが土地を無駄にふさいでいるのか』。
8 The husbandman saith to him, My lord, suffer it also this year, until I tend it and manure it:
栽培人は答えた，『ご主人様，それを今年だけそのままにしておいてやってください。この木の周りを掘って，肥料をやりますから。
9 and if it produce fruits, (well): but if not, then afterwards I will cut it down.
もし実を結べば上等ですし，そうでなければ，その後で，これを切り倒してしまって構いません』」 。
10 AS Jeshu was teaching on a shabath in one of the synagogues,
彼は安息日に会堂の一つで教えていた。
11 a woman was there who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed down, and could not be straight at all.
見よ，十八年間も病弱の霊に取りつかれた女がいた。彼女は腰が曲がったままで，どうしても伸ばすことができなかった。
12 But Jeshu saw her, and called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
イエスは彼女を見ると，呼び寄せて彼女に言った，「女よ，あなたは自分の病弱さから解き放たれている」 。
13 And he laid his hand upon her; and at once she was made straight, and glorified Aloha.
彼女の上に手を置いた。すると，すぐに彼女はまっすぐになり，神に栄光をささげた。
14 But the chief of the synagogue answered, being angry that Jeshu had healed on the shabath, and said to the congregation, Six days there are in which it is lawful to work: in them come and be healed, and not on the day of shabath.
会堂長は，イエスが安息日にいやしたので憤慨し，群衆に言った，「人々が働くべき日は六日ある。だからそれらの日にやって来て，いやしてもらうがよい。安息日にはいけないのだ！」
15 But Jeshu answered and said to him, Hypocrite, doth not any one of you on the shabath loose his ox or his ass from the manger, and going giveth to drink?
そこで主は彼に答えた，「偽善者たち！ あなた方はおのおの，安息日に自分の牛やロバを家畜小屋から解いて，水を飲ませに引いて行くではないか。
16 But this daughter of Abraham, whom, behold, the Accuser hath bound eighteen years, is it not lawful to loose from this binding on the day of shabath?
アブラハムの娘で，サタンが十八年間も縛っていたこの女は，安息日にその束縛から解かれるべきではなかったか」 。
17 And as he said these things, ashamed were all they who had risen up against him; and all the people rejoiced in all these wonders that were done by his hand.
彼がこれらのことを言うと，彼の反対者たちはみな恥じ入った。しかし，群衆はみな，彼によってなされたすべての栄光ある事柄のために喜んだ。
18 Jeshu said, What doth the kingdom of Aloha resemble, and to what shall I compare it?
彼は言った，「神の王国は何に似ているだろうか。それを何と比べようか。
19 It resembles a grain of mustard, which a man took (and) cast into his garden: and it grew, and became a great tree; and the fowl of the heaven built in its branches.
それは，ある人が取って自分の庭にまいた，一粒のからしの種のようなものだ。それは成長し，大きな木になり，その枝に空の鳥たちが巣を作った」 。
20 Jeshu said again, To what shall I compare the kingdom of Aloha?
また彼は言った，「神の王国を何と比べようか。
21 It is like leaven which a woman took; (and) hid in three satas of meal, until all had leavened.
それはパン種のようだ。ある女がそれを取って，三ますの麦粉の中に隠すと，ついには全体が発酵した」 。
22 And he journeyed, teaching in the villages and in the cities, and going forwards to Urishlem.
彼は町々や村々を通って行きながら，教え，エルサレムに向けて旅をしていた。
23 ONE had demanded (of) him if they are few who are saved. But Jeshu said to them,
ある者が彼に言った，「主よ，救われる者は少ないのですか」。 彼は彼らに言った，
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for I say to you that many will seek to enter in, but shall not be able.
「狭い戸口を通って入るよう必死に努めなさい。あなた方に告げるが，入ろうと努めながら，入れない人が多いからだ。
25 From the hour that the Lord of the house shall have risen up and have shut the door, you may stand without, knocking at the door, and may begin to say, Our Lord, our Lord, open to us! But he will answer and say, I tell you that I know not whence you are.
いったん家の主人が起き上がって戸を閉めてしまうと，あなた方が外に立ち，戸をたたいて，『だんな様，だんな様，わたしたちに開けてください！』と言い始めても，彼は答えてあなた方に告げるだろう，『わたしはあなた方を知らないし，あなた方がどこから来たのかも知らない』。
26 And you shall begin to say, Before thee we have eaten and drunk, and in our streets thou hast taught.
その時，あなた方は言い始めるだろう，『わたしたちはあなたの面前で食べたり飲んだりしましたし，あなたはわたしたちの通りで教えてくださいました』。
27 And he shall say to you, I know you not whence you are: depart from me, workers of falsity.
彼は言うだろう，『わたしはあなた方を知らないし，あなた方がどこから来たのかも知らない。不法を働く者たちよ，皆わたしから離れ去れ』。
28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham and Ishok and Jakub and all the prophets in the kingdom of Aloha, but you be cast forth without.
そこには嘆きと歯ぎしりとがあるだろう。アブラハム，イサク，ヤコブ，そしてすべての預言者たちが神の王国にいるのに，自分たちが外に投げ出されているのを見るときには。
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the south, and from the north, and shall recline in the kingdom of Aloha.
人々は東から，西から，北から，南からやって来て，神の王国で席に着くだろう。
30 And, behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.
見よ，最後であったのに最初になる者たちがおり，最初であったのに最後になる者たちがいる」 。
31 In that day came men from the Pharishee, saying to him, Remove, go from hence, because Herodes desireth to kill thee.
その同じ日に，何人かのファリサイ人たちがやって来て，彼に言った，「ここから出て，立ち去りなさい。ヘロデがあなたを殺そうとしているからです」。
32 Jeshu saith to them, Go, tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils and perform cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third day I am perfected.
彼は彼らに言った，「行って，あのキツネに言いなさい，『見よ，わたしは今日も明日も悪霊たちを追い出し，いやしを行なっている。そして三日目に，自分の使命を成し遂げるだろう。
33 Nevertheless it behoveth me to-day and to-morrow to work and the (day) after I shall go; because it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Urishlem.
それでも，わたしは，今日も明日もあさっても進んで行かなければならない。預言者がエルサレムの外で滅びることはあり得ないからだ』。
34 Urishlem, Urishlem! killing the prophets, and stoning them that are sent to her, what times would I have gathered thy sons as the hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and you willed not!
「エルサレム，エルサレム，預言者たちを殺し，自分のところに遣わされた者たちを石打ちにする者よ！ めんどりがそのひなの群れを翼の下に集めるように，わたしは幾たびあなたの子らを集めようとしたことか。だが，あなた方は拒んだ！
35 Behold, left to you is your house a desert; for I say to you, that you will not see me until you shall say, Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord.
見よ，あなた方の家は荒れ果てたままに残される。あなた方に告げるが，あなた方は，『主の名において来る者は幸いだ！』と言うときまでは，決してわたしを見ることはないだろう」 。
