Ecclesiastes 8
1 who? like/as [the] wise and who? to know interpretation word: thing wisdom man to light face his and strength face his to change
Qui est comme le sage, et qui connaît l’explication des choses? La sagesse d’un homme fait briller son visage, et la sévérité de sa face est changée.
2 I lip: word king to keep: obey and upon cause oath God
Je te dis: Observe les ordres du roi, et cela à cause du serment fait à Dieu.
3 not to dismay from face his to go: went not to stand: stand in/on/with word: case bad: evil for all which to delight in to make: do
Ne te hâte pas de t’éloigner de lui, et ne persiste pas dans une chose mauvaise: car il peut faire tout ce qui lui plaît,
4 in/on/with in which word king power and who? to say to/for him what? to make: do
parce que la parole du roi est puissante; et qui lui dira: Que fais-tu?
5 to keep: obey commandment not to know word: thing bad: evil and time and justice: custom to know heart wise
Celui qui observe le commandement ne connaît point de chose mauvaise, et le cœur du sage connaît le temps et le jugement.
6 for to/for all pleasure there time and justice: custom for distress: harm [the] man many upon him
Car il y a pour toute chose un temps et un jugement, quand le malheur accable l’homme.
7 for nothing he to know what? which/that to be for like/as as which to be who? to tell to/for him
Mais il ne sait point ce qui arrivera, et qui lui dira comment cela arrivera?
8 nothing man domineering in/on/with spirit to/for to restrain [obj] [the] spirit and nothing power in/on/with day [the] death and nothing deputation in/on/with battle and not to escape wickedness [obj] master: owning his
L’homme n’est pas maître de son souffle pour pouvoir le retenir, et il n’a aucune puissance sur le jour de la mort; il n’y a point de délivrance dans ce combat, et la méchanceté ne saurait sauver les méchants.
9 [obj] all this to see: see and to give: put [obj] heart my to/for all deed which to make: do underneath: under [the] sun time which to domineer [the] man in/on/with man to/for bad: evil to/for him
J’ai vu tout cela, et j’ai appliqué mon cœur à tout ce qui se fait sous le soleil. Il y a un temps où l’homme domine sur l’homme pour le rendre malheureux.
10 and in/on/with so to see: see wicked to bury and to come (in): come and from place holy to go: went and to forget in/on/with city which right to make: do also this vanity
Alors j’ai vu des méchants recevoir la sépulture et entrer dans leur repos, et ceux qui avaient agi avec droiture s’en aller loin du lieu saint et être oubliés dans la ville. C’est encore là une vanité.
11 which nothing to make: do edict deed [the] distress: evil haste upon so to fill heart son: child [the] man in/on/with them to/for to make: do bad: evil
Parce qu’une sentence contre les mauvaises actions ne s’exécute pas promptement, le cœur des fils de l’homme se remplit en eux du désir de faire le mal.
12 which to sin to make: do bad: evil hundred and to prolong to/for him for also to know I which to be pleasant to/for afraid [the] God which to fear: revere from to/for face: before his
Cependant, quoique le pécheur fasse cent fois le mal et qu’il y persévère longtemps, je sais aussi que le bonheur est pour ceux qui craignent Dieu, parce qu’ils ont de la crainte devant lui.
13 and pleasant not to be to/for wicked and not to prolong day like/as shadow which nothing he afraid from to/for face: before God
Mais le bonheur n’est pas pour le méchant, et il ne prolongera point ses jours, pas plus que l’ombre, parce qu’il n’a pas de la crainte devant Dieu.
14 there vanity which to make: do upon [the] land: country/planet which there righteous which to touch to(wards) them like/as deed [the] wicked and there wicked which/that to touch to(wards) them like/as deed [the] righteous to say which/that also this vanity
Il est une vanité qui a lieu sur la terre: c’est qu’il y a des justes auxquels il arrive selon l’œuvre des méchants, et des méchants auxquels il arrive selon l’œuvre des justes. Je dis que c’est encore là une vanité.
15 and to praise I [obj] [the] joy which nothing pleasant to/for man underneath: under [the] sun that if: except if: except to/for to eat and to/for to drink and to/for to rejoice and he/she/it to join him in/on/with trouble his day life his which to give: give to/for him [the] God underneath: under [the] sun
J’ai donc loué la joie, parce qu’il n’y a de bonheur pour l’homme sous le soleil qu’à manger et à boire et à se réjouir; c’est là ce qui doit l’accompagner au milieu de son travail, pendant les jours de vie que Dieu lui donne sous le soleil.
16 like/as as which to give: put [obj] heart my to/for to know wisdom and to/for to see: see [obj] [the] task which to make: do upon [the] land: country/planet for also in/on/with day and in/on/with night sleep in/on/with eye: appearance his nothing he to see: see
Lorsque j’ai appliqué mon cœur à connaître la sagesse et à considérer les choses qui se passent sur la terre, car les yeux de l’homme ne goûtent le sommeil ni jour ni nuit,
17 and to see: see [obj] all deed: work [the] God for not be able [the] man to/for to find [obj] [the] deed: work which to make: do underneath: under [the] sun in/on/with which/that to/for which to toil [the] man to/for to seek and not to find and also if to say [the] wise to/for to know not be able to/for to find
j’ai vu toute l’œuvre de Dieu, j’ai vu que l’homme ne peut pas trouver ce qui se fait sous le soleil; il a beau se fatiguer à chercher, il ne trouve pas; et même si le sage veut connaître, il ne peut pas trouver.
