Revelation 18
1 (and *k) After these things I saw another angel descending out of heaven, having authority great, and the earth was illuminated from the glory of him.
Après cela, je vis descendre du ciel un autre ange, qui avait un grand pouvoir. La terre fut éclairée de sa gloire.
2 And he cried out in (a mighty *N+kO) voice (loud *K) saying: Fallen Fallen is Babylon the great And she has become a habitation (of demons *N+kO) and a prison of every spirit unclean and a prison of every bird unclean (and a prison of every creature unclean *NO) and hated,
Et il cria avec force et à grande voix, et dit: Elle est tombée, elle est tombée, Babylone la grande, et elle est devenue la demeure des démons, et le repaire de tout esprit immonde, et le repaire de tout oiseau immonde et horrible.
3 For of the wine of the wrath of the sexual immorality of her (they have drunk *N+kO) all the nations, and the kings of the earth with her committed sexual immorality, and the merchants of the earth through the power of the sensuality of her were enriched.
Car toutes les nations ont bu du vin de la fureur de sa fornication, et les rois de la terre se sont prostitués avec elle; et les marchands de la terre se sont enrichis de l'abondance de son luxe.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying: (do come *NK+o) you who [are] people of mine from her, so that not you may have fellowship in the sins of her, and of the plagues of her so that not you may receive;
Puis j'entendis une autre voix du ciel, qui disait: Sortez du milieu d'elle, mon peuple; de peur que, participant à ses péchés, vous n'ayez aussi part à ses plaies;
5 For (they were heaped *N+KO) in her sins as high as heaven, and has remembered God the iniquities of her.
Car ses péchés sont montés jusqu'au ciel et Dieu s'est souvenu de ses iniquités.
6 do give back to her as also she has rendered (to you *k) and do pay back double (to her *k) (the *no) twofold according to the works of her. In the cup which she has mixed, do mix to her double.
Traitez-la comme elle vous a traités, rendez-lui au double ce qu'elle vous a fait. Dans la même coupe où elle vous a versé, versez-lui au double.
7 So much as she has glorified herself and lived in luxury, so much do give to her torment and misery, because in the heart of herself she says that I sit [as] a queen and a widow never I am and mourning certainly not shall I see.
Autant elle s'est enorgueillie et s'est plongée dans les délices, autant faites-lui souffrir de tourment et d'affliction, parce qu'elle dit en son cœur: Je suis assise en reine, je ne suis point veuve, et je ne verrai point le deuil.
8 Because of this in one day will come the plagues of her, death and misery and famine, and with fire she will be burned up, because mighty [is the] Lord God the [One] (having judged *N+kO) her.
C'est pourquoi ses plaies, la mort, le deuil et la famine viendront en un même jour, et elle sera consumée par le feu; car le Seigneur Dieu qui la juge, est puissant.
9 And (they will weep *N+kO) ([for] her *k) and they will wail for her the kings of the earth the [ones who] with her having committed sexual immorality and having lived luxuriously, when they may see the smoke of the burning of her
Et les rois de la terre, qui ont commis fornication, et qui ont vécu dans les délices avec elle, la pleureront et se frapperont la poitrine à cause d'elle lorsqu'ils verront la fumée de son embrasement.
10 from afar standing because of the fear of the torment of her saying: Woe woe you who [are] the city great Babylon the city strong! For (in *k) one hour has come the judgment of you.
Ils se tiendront loin, dans la crainte de sa torture, et ils diront: Malheur! malheur! La cité, la grande Babylone, la ville puissante, car sa condamnation est venue en une heure!
11 And the merchants of the earth (weep *NK+o) and (they mourn *NK+o) for (her, *N+kO) because the cargo of them no [one] buys no longer no longer
Et les marchands de la terre pleureront et se lamenteront à son sujet, parce que personne n'achètera plus leurs marchandises:
12 cargo of gold and of silver and of stone precious and (of pearls *N+kO) and (of fine linen [things] *N+kO) and (of purple cloth *NK+o) and of silk and of scarlet and all wood citron and every article of ivory and every article of wood most precious and of bronze and of iron and of marble
Marchandises d'or et d'argent, de pierres précieuses, de perles, de fin lin, de pourpre, de soie, d'écarlate, toute sorte de bois odoriférant, toute sorte de meubles d'ivoire et de bois très précieux, de bronze, de fer et de marbre,
13 and cinnamon (and spice *NO) and incense and myrrh and frankincense and wine and oil and finest flour and wheat and cattle and sheep and of horses and of chariots and of slaves and souls of men.
Du cinnamome, des parfums, des essences, de l'encens, du vin, de l'huile, de la fleur de farine, du blé, des bêtes de charge, des brebis, des chevaux, des chariots, des corps, et des âmes d'hommes.
14 And the ripe fruit of you of the desire of the soul are departed from you, and all the sumptuous things and the splendid things (were destroyed *N+kO) from you, and no longer no longer certainly not them (they will find. *N+K+o)
Les fruits que désire ton âme se sont éloignés de toi, et toutes les choses délicates et magnifiques sont perdues pour toi; désormais tu ne les retrouveras plus.
15 The merchants of these things which having been enriched from her from afar will stand because of the fear of the torment of her weeping and mourning,
Ceux qui vendaient ces choses, qui s'étaient enrichis avec elle, se tiendront loin d'elle, dans la crainte de sa torture, pleurant et se lamentant, et disant:
16 (and *k) saying: Woe woe you who [are] the city great, which having been clothed with fine linen and purple and scarlet and adorned with (gold [things] *N+kO) and with stone precious and (with pearl! *N+KO)
Malheur! malheur! la grande cité, vêtue de fin lin, de pourpre et d'écarlate, parée d'or, de pierreries et de perles! Qu'en une seule heure tant de richesses aient été détruites!
17 Since in one hour has been brought to desolation so great wealth. And every shipmaster and every [one] who on (a place *NO) (of the *k) (sailing *N+kO) (the multitudes *K) and sailors and as many as the sea trade by at a distance stood
Et tous les pilotes, tous ceux qui montent sur les vaisseaux, les matelots, et tous ceux qui trafiquent sur la mer, se tenaient loin,
18 and (were crying out *NK+o) (seeing *N+kO) the smoke of the burning of her saying; What [is] like as the city great?
Et voyant la fumée de son embrasement, s'écriaient, en disant: Quelle ville était semblable à la grande cité?
19 And they cast dust upon the heads of them and (they were crying out *NK+o) weeping and mourning (and *o) saying: Woe woe the city great, in which were enriched all those having ships in the sea through the wealth of her! Since in one hour she has been desolated.
Ils jetaient de la poussière sur leurs têtes, et pleurant et se lamentant, ils criaient et disaient: Malheur! malheur! la grande cité, où tous ceux qui avaient des vaisseaux sur mer s'étaient enrichis par son opulence, en une seule heure a été réduite en désert!
20 do rejoice over (her, *N+kO) O heaven and you saints (and *no) you apostles and you prophets, because did judge God the judgment for you against her.
O ciel, réjouis-toi à cause d'elle, ainsi que vous, saints apôtres et prophètes; car Dieu a exercé ses jugements sur elle à cause de vous.
21 And took up one angel a mighty stone like (a millstone *N+kO) great and cast [it] into the sea saying: Thus with violence will be cast down Babylon the great city and certainly not may be found any longer.
Alors un ange puissant prit une pierre comme une grande meule, et la jeta dans la mer, en disant: Ainsi sera précipitée avec violence Babylone, la grande ville, et on ne la retrouvera plus.
22 And sound of harpists and musicians and flute players and trumpeters certainly not may be heard in you any longer, And any craftsmen of any craft certainly not may be found in you any longer, and [the] sound of a millstone certainly not may be heard in you any longer,
Et le son des joueurs de harpe, des musiciens, des joueurs de flûte et des joueurs de trompettes ne sera plus entendu au milieu de toi; aucun artisan, de quelque métier que ce soit, ne s'y trouvera plus; et le bruit de la meule n'y sera plus entendu.
23 And [the] light of lamp certainly not may shine in you any longer, and [the] voice of a bridegroom and a bride certainly not may be heard in you any longer, for the merchants of you were the great ones of the earth, because by the sorcery of you were deceived all the nations.
La lumière de la lampe n'y luira plus, et l'on n'y entendra plus la voix de l'époux et de l'épouse; parce que tes marchands étaient les grands de la terre; parce que toutes les nations ont été séduites par tes enchantements;
24 And in her ([the] blood *N+kO) of prophets and of saints was found and of all those slain on the earth.
Et que c'est en elle qu'a été trouvé le sang des prophètes et des saints, et de tous ceux qui ont été mis à mort sur la terre.
