Matthew 18
1 In that [very] hour came the disciples to Jesus saying; Who then [the] greatest is in the kingdom of the heavens?
In jener Stunde traten die Jünger zu Jesu und sprachen: Wer ist denn der Größte [W. größer] im Reiche der Himmel?
2 And having called to [Him] (Jesus *k) a child He set it in midst of them
Und als Jesus ein Kindlein herzugerufen hatte, stellte er es in ihre Mitte
3 and said; Amen I say to you; only unless you may turn and may become as the little children, certainly not shall you enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
und sprach: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, wenn ihr nicht umkehret und werdet wie die Kindlein, so werdet ihr nicht in das Reich der Himmel eingehen.
4 Whoever therefore (will humble *N+kO) himself as little child this, he is the greater in the kingdom of the heavens.
Darum, wer irgend sich selbst erniedrigen wird wie dieses Kindlein, dieser ist der Größte [W. Größere] im Reiche der Himmel;
5 And who[ever] (if *NK+o) shall receive one little child (such *N+kO) in the name of Me, Me myself receives.
und wer irgend ein solches Kindlein aufnehmen wird in meinem Namen, [Eig. auf Grund meines Namens] nimmt mich auf.
6 Who[ever] then maybe may cause to stumble one of the little ones of these who are believing in Me myself, it is better for him that may be hung a millstone heavy (around *N+k+o) the neck of him, and he may be sunk in the depth of the sea.
Wer aber irgend eines dieser Kleinen, [O. einen dieser Geringen] die an mich glauben, ärgern [d. h. ihm einen Fallstrick legen] wird, dem wäre nütze, daß ein Mühlstein [Eig. ein Esels-Mühlstein, d. h. ein Mühlstein, der durch einen Esel getrieben wurde] an seinen Hals gehängt, und er in die Tiefe des Meeres versenkt würde.
7 Woe to the world because of the causes of sin; Necessary [are] for (is *ko) to come the stumbling blocks, but woe to the man (that [one] *k) through whom the offense comes!
Wehe der Welt der Ärgernisse wegen! Denn es ist notwendig, daß Ärgernisse kommen; doch wehe dem Menschen, durch welchen das Ärgernis kommt!
8 If now the hand of you or the foot of you causes to sin you, do cut off (it *N+KO) and do cast [it] from you; better for you it is to enter into life crippled or lame than two hands or two feet having to be cast into the fire eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Wenn aber deine Hand oder dein Fuß dich ärgert, so haue ihn ab und wirf ihn von dir. Es ist dir besser, [Eig. gut] lahm oder als Krüppel in das Leben einzugehen, als mit zwei Händen oder mit zwei Füßen in das ewige Feuer geworfen zu werden. (aiōnios g166)
9 And if the eye of you causes to sin you, do gouge out it and do cast [it] from you; better for you it is one-eyed into life to enter than two eyes having to be cast into the hell of the fire. (Geenna g1067)
Und wenn dein Auge dich ärgert, so reiß es aus und wirf es von dir. Es ist dir besser, [Eig. gut] einäugig in das Leben einzugehen, als mit zwei Augen in die Hölle des Feuers geworfen zu werden. (Geenna g1067)
10 do see [that] not may you despise one of the little ones of these; I say for to you that the angels of them in [the] heavens through all [times] behold the face of the Father of mine who [is] in [the] heavens.
Sehet zu, daß ihr nicht eines dieser Kleinen verachtet; denn ich sage euch, daß ihre Engel in den Himmeln allezeit das Angesicht meines Vaters schauen, der in den Himmeln ist.
11 (came *KO) (for son of man to save those already perishing. *K)
Denn der Sohn des Menschen ist gekommen, das Verlorene zu erretten.
12 What you do think? If may happen a certain man [has] a hundred sheep and shall have gone astray one of them, surely (he will leave *N+kO) the ninety nine on the mountains, (and *no) having gone will seek the [one] going astray?
Was dünkt euch? Wenn irgend ein Mensch hundert Schafe hätte, und eines von ihnen sich verirrte, läßt er nicht die neunundneunzig auf den Bergen und geht hin und sucht das irrende?
13 And if he may happen to find it, Amen I say to you that he rejoices over it more than over the ninety nine which not gone astray.
Und wenn es geschieht, daß er es findet, wahrlich, ich sage euch, er freut sich mehr über dieses, als über die neunundneunzig, die nicht verirrt sind.
14 Thus not it is [the] will of the Father (of you *NK+O) who [is] in [the] heavens that may perish (one *N+kO) of the little ones of these.
Also ist es nicht der Wille eures Vaters, [Eig. ist kein Wille vor eurem Vater] der in den Himmeln ist, daß eines dieser Kleinen verloren gehe.
15 If now shall sin against you the brother of you, do go (and *k) do reprove him between you and him alone. If you he shall hear, you have gained the brother of you.
Wenn aber dein Bruder wider dich sündigt, so gehe hin, überführe ihn zwischen dir und ihm allein. Wenn er auf dich hört, so hast du deinen Bruder gewonnen.
16 only however unless he shall hear, do take with you more one or two that upon [the] testimony of two witnesses or of three may be strengthened every declaration.
Wenn er aber nicht hört, so nimm noch einen oder zwei mit dir, damit aus zweier oder dreier Zeugen Mund jede Sache bestätigt werde. [Vergl. 5. Mose 19,15]
17 If now he shall fail to listen to them, do tell [it] to the church. If now also to the church he shall fail to listen, he should be to you as the pagan and the tax collector.
Wenn er aber nicht auf sie hören wird, so sage es der Versammlung; wenn er aber auch auf die Versammlung nicht hören wird, so sei er dir wie der Heide [der von den Nationen] und der Zöllner.
18 Amen I say to you; as much as (if *NK+o) you shall bind on the earth, will have been bound in heaven; and as much as if you shall loose on the earth, will have been loosed in heaven.
Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Was irgend ihr auf der Erde binden werdet, wird im Himmel gebunden sein, und was irgend ihr auf der Erde lösen werdet, wird im Himmel gelöst sein.
19 Again (Amen *NO) I say to you that if two shall agree (of *no) you on the earth concerning any matter that if they shall ask, it will be done for them by the Father of Mine who [is] in [the] heavens.
Wiederum sage ich euch: Wenn zwei von euch auf der Erde übereinkommen werden über irgend eine Sache, um welche sie auch bitten mögen, so wird sie ihnen werden von meinem Vater, der in den Himmeln ist.
20 Where for are two or three assembled unto My name, there am I in [the] midst of them.
Denn wo zwei oder drei versammelt sind in meinem Namen, [Eig. zu meinem Namen hin] da bin ich in ihrer Mitte.
21 Then having come Peter said to Him; Lord, how often will sin against me myself the brother of mine and I will forgive him? Up to seven times?
Dann trat Petrus zu ihm und sprach: Herr, wie oft soll ich meinem Bruder, der wider mich sündigt, vergeben? [W. wie oft soll mein Bruder wider mich sündigen und ich ihm vergeben] bis siebenmal?
22 Says to him Jesus; Not I say to you up to seven times but up to seventy times seven!
Jesus spricht zu ihm: Nicht sage ich dir, bis siebenmal, sondern bis siebzig mal sieben.
23 Because of this has become like the kingdom of the heavens to a man a king who desired to settle accounts with the servants of him.
Deswegen ist das Reich der Himmel einem Könige gleich geworden, der mit seinen Knechten [O. Sklaven; so auch nachher] abrechnen wollte.
24 When was beginning then he to settle (was brought to *NK+o) to him one a debtor of ten thousand talents.
Als er aber anfing abzurechnen, wurde einer zu ihm gebracht, der zehntausend Talente schuldete.
25 [When] not is having [anything] now he to pay he commanded him the master (of him *k) to be sold and the wife (of him *ko) and the children and all as much as (he has *N+kO) and payment to be made.
Da derselbe aber nicht hatte zu bezahlen, befahl sein Herr, ihn und sein Weib und die Kinder und alles, was er hatte, zu verkaufen und zu bezahlen.
26 Having fallen down therefore the servant was bowing on his knees to him saying; (lord *ko) do have patience with (me myself, *NK+o) and all I will pay to you.
Der Knecht nun fiel nieder, huldigte ihm und sprach: Herr, habe Geduld mit mir, und ich will dir alles bezahlen.
27 Having been moved with compassion now the master of the servant, that [one] released him and the debt forgave him.
Der Herr jenes Knechtes aber, innerlich bewegt, gab ihn los und erließ ihm das Darlehn.
28 Having gone out however the servant same found one of the fellow servants of him who was owing to him a hundred denarii, and having seized him he was throttling [him] saying; do pay (to me *k) (if *N+kO) any you owe.’
Jener Knecht aber ging hinaus und fand einen seiner Mitknechte, der ihm hundert Denare schuldig war. Und er ergriff und würgte ihn und sprach: Bezahle, wenn du etwas schuldig bist.
29 Having fallen down therefore the fellow servant of him (into the feet of him *K) was begging him saying; do have patience with (me myself, *NK+o) and (all things *K) I will pay you.
Sein Mitknecht nun fiel nieder und bat ihn und sprach: Habe Geduld mit mir, und ich will dir bezahlen.
30 But not he was willing, but having gone he cast him into prison until (what of him *ko) he may pay that which is being owed.
Er aber wollte nicht, sondern ging hin und warf ihn ins Gefängnis, bis er die Schuld bezahlt habe.
31 Having seen (therefore *N+kO) the fellow servants of him the [things] having taken place they were grieved deeply, and having gone they narrated to the master (of themselves *N+kO) all that having taken place.
Als aber seine Mitknechte sahen, was geschehen war, wurden sie sehr betrübt und gingen und berichteten ihrem Herrn alles, was geschehen war.
32 Then having called to him the master of him says to him; Servant evil, all the debt, that [one] I forgave you because you begged me.
Dann rief ihn sein Herr herzu und spricht zu ihm: Böser Knecht! jene ganze Schuld habe ich dir erlassen, dieweil du mich batest;
33 Surely it was necessary also you to have pitied the fellow servant of you as also I myself also I myself you pitied?
solltest nicht auch du dich deines Mitknechtes erbarmt haben, wie auch ich mich deiner erbarmt habe?
34 And having been angry the master of him delivered him to the jailers until that he may pay all which is being owed (to him. *ko)
Und sein Herr wurde zornig und überlieferte ihn den Peinigern, bis er alles bezahlt habe, was er ihm schuldig war.
35 Thus also the Father of Mine (heavenly *N+kO) will do to you only unless you may forgive each the brother of him from the heart of you (the trespasses of them. *K)
Also wird auch mein himmlischer Vater euch tun, wenn ihr nicht ein jeder seinem Bruder von Herzen vergebet.
