John 17
1 These things spoke Jesus, and (having lifted up *N+kO) the eyes of Him to heaven (and *k) He said; Father, has come the hour; do glorify Your Son, that (also *k) the Son (of you *k) may glorify You.
੧ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੇਵੇ।
2 Even as You gave to Him authority over all flesh, so that all whom You have given to Him, (He may give *NK+o) to them life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
੨ਤੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਵੇ। (aiōnios g166)
3 This now is eternal life that they may know You the only true God and whom You have sent Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
੩ਇਹ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ, ਸੱਚੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ। (aiōnios g166)
4 I myself You glorified on the earth the work (having completed *N+kO) that You have given Me that I may do.
੪ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
5 And now do glorify Me You yourself, Father, with Yourself with the glory that I had before the world existing with You.
੫ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਜੂਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰ। ਉਸ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।”
6 I revealed Your name to the men whom (you gave *N+kO) Me out of the world; Yours they were and to Me and to Me them (You gave *N+kO) and the word of You they have kept.
੬ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈਂ। ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
7 Now they have known that all things as much as (You have given *NK+o) Me of You (are; *N+kO)
੭ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
8 for the declarations that (You gave *N+kO) Me I have given to them; and they themselves received [them] and they knew truly that from You I came forth, and they believed that You yourself Me sent.
੮ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 I myself concerning them am praying; Not concerning the world do I pray but concerning those whom You have given Me, for Yours they are;
੯ਮੈਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
10 And the [things] of mine all Yours are and Yours Mine; and I have been glorified in them.
੧੦ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੋਈ।
11 And no longer no longer I am in the world, and yet (themselves *N+kO) in the world they are, and I myself and I myself to You am coming. Father Holy, do keep them in the name of You (which [name] *N+KO) You have given to Me that they may be one even as (also *o) we ourselves [are].
੧੧ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਜੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ। ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਿਤਾ! ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੀਂ। ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੀ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਣ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ।
12 When I was with them (in world *K) I myself was keeping them in the name of You (which [name] *N+KO) You have given to Me (And *no) I guarded [them], and none of them has perished only except the son of destruction, that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
੧੨ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦੀ ਲਿਖਤ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ ।
13 Now however to You I am coming and these things I speak in the world, so that they may have joy of Mine fulfilled within (themselves. *N+kO)
੧੩ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
14 I myself have given to them the word of You, and the world hated them, because not they are of the world even as I myself not am of the world.
੧੪ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
15 Not I do ask that You may take them out of the world but that You may keep them from evil.
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
16 Of the world not they are even as I myself not am of the world.
੧੬ਉਹ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।
17 do sanctify them by the truth (of you; *k) the word of You truth is.
੧੭ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ, ਤੇਰਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ।
18 Even as Me myself You sent into the world, I myself also I myself also sent them into the world.
੧੮ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
19 and for them I myself sanctify Myself, that may be also they themselves sanctified in truth.
੧੯ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ।
20 Not for these however do I ask only but also for those (are believing *N+kO) through the word of them in Me myself;
੨੦ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਣਗੇ।
21 that all one may be even as You yourself, (Father, *NK+o) [are] in Me myself and I myself and I myself in You, that also they themselves in Us (one *KO) may be; that the world (may believe *N+kO) that You yourself Me sent.
੨੧ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਜੁੱਟ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੇ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
22 And I myself And I myself the glory which You have given Me I have given to them, so that they may be one even as We ourselves one — (are; *k)
੨੨ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਹਾਂ।
23 I myself in them and You in Me myself — that they may be perfected in unity, (and *k) so that may know the world that You yourself Me sent and You loved them even as Me myself You loved.
੨੩ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ। ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
24 (Father, *NK+o) (that [one] *N+kO) You have given Me I desire that where am I myself they also they also may be with Me, that they may behold glory of Mine that (You have given *N+kO) Me because You loved Me before [the] foundation of [the] world.
੨੪“ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਣ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
25 (Father *NK+o) righteous, although the world You not has known, I myself now You have known, and these have known that You yourself Me sent;
੨੫ਹੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਪਿਤਾ, ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈਂ।
26 And I made known to them the name of You and will make [it] known, so that the love with which You loved Me in them may be and I myself and I myself in them.
੨੬ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ।”
