James 2
1 Brothers of Mine, not with partiality do hold the faith of the Lord of us Jesus Christ of glory.
Браттє моє, не на лиця вважаючи, майте віру Господа нашого Ісуса Христа прославленого.
2 If for shall come into (the *k*) assembly of you a man with a gold ring in apparel splendid, may come in then also a poor [man] in shabby apparel
Коли бо ввійшов у громаду вашу чоловік з золотим перснем, в одежі осяйній, ввійшов же й вбогий в мізерній одежі,
3 (and *ko*) you may look (also *no*) upon the [one] wearing the apparel splendid and may say (to him: *k*) You yourself do sit here honorably, and to the poor may say; You yourself do stand there or do sit (here *k*) under the footstool of mine,
і ви споглянете на того, що носить осяйну одежу, і скажете йому: Ти сїдай отут гарно, а вбогому скажете: Ти стань отам, або сідай отут на підніжку моїм,
4 (and *ko*) not were discriminated among yourselves and you have become judges with thoughts evil?
то чи не пересуджуєте між собою і не станетесь суддями з ледачими думками?
5 do listen, brothers of mine beloved, Not God has chosen the poor (in the world *N(k)O*) (this *k*) [to be] rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that He promised to those loving Him?
Слухайте, браттє мов любе: хиба не вбогих сьвіту сього вибрав Бог на багатих вірою і наслїдників царства, котре обіцяв тим, хто любить Його?
6 You yourselves however dishonored the poor. Surely the rich are oppressing you and they themselves dragging you into court?
Ви ж зневажили вбогого. Хиба не багаті підневолюють вас, і не вони г тягнуть вас на судища?
7 Surely they themselves are denigrating the good Name which having been called upon you?
Хиба не вони зневажають добре імя, яким вас названо?
8 If indeed [the] law you keep royal according to the Scripture; You will love the neighbour of you as yourself, well you are doing;
Коли ж оце звершуєте закон царський по писанню: "Люби ближнього свого, як себе самого", добре чините;
9 If however you show partiality, sin you are committing being convicted by the law as transgressors.
коли ж на лиця дивитесь, то гріх робите, докорені законом, як переступники.
10 Whoever for all the law (may keep, may stumble *N(k)O*) but in one [point], he has become of all guilty.
Кожний бо, хто увесь закон заховав, та згрішить в одному, станеть ся у всьому виноватий.
11 The [One] for having said Not (you may commit adultery, *NK(o)*) said also Not (you may murder. *NK(o)*) If however not (you do commit adultery do commit murder *N(k)O*) however, you have become a transgressor of [the] law.
Хто бо сказав: "Не чини перелюбу," Той сказав і: "Не вбивай." Коли ж не зробиш перелюбу, а вбєш, став ся єси переступником закону.
12 Thus do speak and so do act as through [the] law of freedom being about to be judged.
Так говоріте і так творіте, яко такі, що законом свободним судити метесь.
13 For judgment without mercy [will be] to the [one] not having shown mercy; (and *k*) (it triumphs over mercy *NK(o)*) judgment.
Суд бо без милосердя тому, хто не зробив милости, і вихваляеть ся милосерде суду (понад суд).
14 What [is] the profit, brothers of mine, if faith shall say anyone to have, works however not he may have? Surely not is able the faith to save him?
Ява користь, браттє моє, коди хто каже, що віру має, та дїл не має? чи може віра спасти його?
15 Now if (now *k*) a brother or a sister without clothes shall be and lacking (they may be *ko*) of daily food,
Коли ж брат або сестра нагі будугь і жадні щоденної страви,
16 may say then anyone to them out from you; do go in peace, do be warmed and do be filled, surely not may give however to them the needful things for the body, what [is] the profit?
а з вас хто, скаже їм: Ідіть з миром, грійтесь i годуйтесь, а не дасть їм потрібного для тіла; яка (з того) користь?
17 So also faith, only unless it shall have works [then] dead it is by itself.
Так само й віра, коди дїл не має, мертва сама по собі.
18 But will say someone; You yourself faith have, and I myself and I myself works have; do show me the faith of you (without *N(k)O*) the works (of you *k*) and I myself and I myself you will show by the works of mine the faith (of mine. *k*)
Ну, скаже хто: Ти віру маєш, а я дїла маю. Покажи менї віру твою з діл твоїх, а я тобі докажу з дїл моїх віру мою.
19 You yourself believe that one is God; Well you are doing! Even the demons believe [that] and shudder!
Ти віруєш, що Бог один; добре робиш: і біси вірують, та й тремтять.
20 Do you want however to come to know, O man foolish, that faith apart from works (worthless *N(K)O*) is?
Чи хочеш же зрозуміти, чоловіче марний, що віра без дїл мертва?
21 Abraham the father of us not by works was justified having offered Isaac the son of him upon the altar?
Авраам, отець наш, хиба не з дїл справдив ся, піднявши Ісаака, сина свого, на жертівник?
22 [Do] you see that [his] faith was working with the works of him and by [his] works [his] faith was perfected?
Чи бачиш, що віра допомагала дїлам його, і ділами звершилась віра?
23 And was fulfilled the Scripture which is saying; Believed then Abraham in God and it was counted to him for righteousness and a friend of God he was called.
І сповнилось писанеє, що глаголе: "Увірував же Авраам Богові й полічено йому за праведність, і другом Божим наречено його."
24 You see (therefore *K*) that by works is justified a man and not by faith alone.
Чи бачите ж оце, що з дїл оправдуєть ся чоловік, а не з однієї віри?
25 Likewise then also Rahab the prostitute not by works was justified having received the messengers and by another way having sent [them] forth?
Так само і Раава блудниця хиба не з дїл справдилась, прийнявши посланців і вивівши їх иншою дорогою?
26 Just as for the body apart from spirit dead is, so also faith apart from (*ko*) works dead is.
Яко бо тіло без духа мертва, так і віра без дїл мертва.
