< Galatians 1 >

1 Paul an apostle not from men nor through man but through Jesus Christ and God [the] Father the [One who] having raised Him out from [the] dead —
Naku, na Paora, na te apotoro, kihai nei i tonoa e te tangata, kihai ano hoki ma roto i te tangata, engari i ma roto i a Ihu Karaiti, i te Atua Matua ano hoki, nana nei ia i whakaara i te hunga mate;
2 and the with me myself all brothers To the churches of Galatia:
Na nga teina katoa hoki i ahau nei, ki nga hahi o Karatia.
3 Grace to you and peace from God Father of us and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ,
Kia tau ki a koutou te aroha noa me te rangimarie, he mea na te Atua Matua, na to tatou Ariki hoki, na Ihu Karaiti,
4 the [One who] having given Himself (for *NK+o) the sins of us, so that He may deliver us out of the age of which having come presently evil according to the will of the God and Father of us, (aiōn g165)
I tuku nei i a ia ano mo o tatou hara, kia whakaorangia ai tatou e ia i tenei ao kino, i runga i ta te Atua, i ta to tatou Matua i pai ai. (aiōn g165)
5 to whom [be] the glory to the ages of the ages, Amen. (aiōn g165)
Waiho atu i a ia te kororia ake ake. Amine. (aiōn g165)
6 I am astonished that so soon you are deserting from the [One who] having called you in [the] grace of Christ to a different gospel
7 which not is another, only except some there are who are troubling you and are desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.
Ehara nei ia i te mea ke atu; engari tena tetahi hunga e whakararuraru ana i a koutou, e mea ana kia whakaputaia ketia te rongopai o te Karaiti.
8 But even if we ourselves or an angel out of heaven (shall evangelise *NK+o) to you contrary to what we evangelised to you, accursed he should be.
9 As we have said before, even now again I say, if anyone [to] you is evangelising contrary to what you received, accursed he should be.
10 Presently for of men do I seek approval or God? Or do I seek men to please? if (for *k) yet men I were pleasing, of Christ a servant not then would I was being.
He tangata ranei, ko te Atua ranei, taku e kukume nei? he tangata ranei aku e whai nei kia whakamanawarekatia? mehemea kei runga tonu ahau i te whakamanawareka tangata, ehara ahau i te pononga na te Karaiti.
11 I make known (for *N+kO) to you, brothers, the gospel which having been evangelised by me that not it is according to man;
Na, kia mohio mai koutou, e oku teina, ko te rongopai i kauwhautia e ahau, ehara i te tangata.
12 Neither for I myself from man received it (nor *NK+o) was I taught [it] but through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 You have heard of for my way of life former in Judaism that beyond exceeding measure I was persecuting the church of God and was destroying it;
Kua rongo na hoki koutou ki taku whakahaere i mua i runga i ta nga Hurai tikanga, nui atu hoki taku tukino i te hahi a te Atua, mongamonga ana i ahau:
14 And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many contemporaries in the countrymen of mine more abundantly zealous being of the fathers of mine traditions.
I hipa noa atu ahau ki mua i etahi tokomaha tonu o matou, rite nga tau ki oku, i waenganui i toku iwi ki te tikanga a nga Hurai, hira noa atu hoki toku ngakau ki nga whakarerenga iho a oku matua.
15 When however was pleased God the [One] having selected me from [the] womb of mother of mine and having called [me] through the grace of Him
16 to reveal the Son of Him in me myself, that I may evangelise Him among the Gentiles, immediately not I consulted with flesh and with blood,
17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the before me apostles, but I went away into Arabia and again returned to Damascus.
18 Then after years three I went up to Jerusalem to make acquaintance with (Cephas *N+KO) and I remained with him days fifteen;
A muri iho i te takanga o nga tau e toru ka haere ake ahau ki Hiruharama kia kite i a Pita, a tekau ma rima nga ra i noho ai ahau ki a ia.
19 Other however of the apostles none I saw, only except James the brother of the Lord.
Engari kihai ahau i kite i tetahi atu o nga apotoro, ko Hemi anake, ko te teina o te Ariki.
20 In what now I write to you, behold before God that not I lie.
21 Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
Muri iho ka haere ahau ki nga wahi o Hiria, o Kirikia;
22 I was then unknown by face to the churches of Judea that [are] in Christ,
Kihai ano toku mata i mohiotia e nga hahi o Huria i roto i a te Karaiti:
23 Only however hearing they were that the [one] persecuting us formerly now is evangelising the faith which once he was destroying;
I rongo kau ratou, Ko te tangata tukino i a matou i mua, e kauwhautia ana e ia inaianei te whakapono i whakangaromia ra e ia.
24 And they were glorifying in me myself God.
