Colossians 3
1 If then you have been raised with Christ, the [things] above do seek, where Christ is at [the] right hand of God sitting;
Wenn ihr nun mit dem Christus auferweckt worden seid, so suchet, was droben ist, wo der Christus ist, sitzend zur Rechten Gottes.
2 The [things] above do set [your] minds on not the [things] on the earth.
Sinnet auf das, was droben ist, nicht auf das, was auf der Erde ist;
3 You have died for and the life of you has been hidden with Christ in God;
denn ihr seid gestorben, und euer Leben ist verborgen mit dem Christus in Gott.
4 When Christ may be revealed, the life (of you, *N+KO) then also you yourselves with Him will appear in glory.
Wenn der Christus, unser Leben, geoffenbart werden wird, dann werdet auch ihr mit ihm geoffenbart werden in Herrlichkeit.
5 do put to death therefore the members (of you *K) which [are] upon the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, desire evil and covetousness which is idolatry,
Tötet [Eig. Habet getötet, d. h. seid in diesem Zustande. S. die Anm. zu Röm. 6,13. So auch v 8. 12.] nun eure Glieder, die auf der Erde sind: Hurerei, Unreinigkeit, Leidenschaft, böse Lust und Habsucht, [O. Gier] welche Götzendienst ist,
6 because of which things is coming the wrath of God on the sons of disobedience;
um welcher Dinge willen der Zorn Gottes kommt über die Söhne des Ungehorsams;
7 in which also you yourselves walked once when you were living in (them. *N+kO)
unter welchen [O. worin] auch ihr einst gewandelt habt, als ihr in diesen Dingen lebtet.
8 Now however do put off also you yourselves all [these] things: anger, rage, malice, slander, foul language out of the mouth of you.
Jetzt aber leget auch ihr das alles ab: [Eig. habet abgelegt] Zorn, Wut, Bosheit, Lästerung, schändliches Reden aus eurem Munde.
9 Not do lie to one another having put off the old man with the practices of him
Belüget einander nicht, da ihr den alten Menschen mit seinen Handlungen ausgezogen
10 and having put on the new, which is being renewed in knowledge according to [the] image of the [one who] having created him;
und den neuen angezogen habt, der erneuert wird zur Erkenntnis nach dem Bilde dessen, der ihn erschaffen hat;
11 where not there is Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, slave, free, but all and in all Christ [is].
wo nicht ist Grieche und Jude, Beschneidung und Vorhaut, Barbar, [S. die Anm. zu Apg. 28,2] Scythe, Sklave, Freier, sondern Christus alles und in allen.
12 do put on therefore, as [the] elect of God holy and beloved, hearts (of compassion, *N+kO) kindness, humility, gentleness, [and] patience;
Ziehet nun an, [Eig. Habet nun angezogen] als Auserwählte Gottes, als Heilige und Geliebte: herzliches Erbarmen, Güte, Demut, Milde, Langmut,
13 bearing with each other and forgiving each other If anyone against another shall have a complaint; even as also the (Lord *N+KO) has forgiven you, so also you;
einander ertragend und euch gegenseitig vergebend, wenn einer Klage hat wider den anderen; wie auch der Christus euch vergeben hat, also auch ihr.
14 Beyond all now these [put on] the love, (which *N+kO) is [the] bond of perfect unity.
Zu diesem allen [O. über dies alles] aber ziehet die Liebe an, welche das Band der Vollkommenheit ist.
15 And the peace (from Christ *N+KO) should rule in the hearts of you, to which also you were called in one body; And thankful do be.
Und der Friede des Christus regiere [O. entscheide] in euren Herzen, zu welchem ihr auch berufen worden seid in einem Leibe; und seid dankbar.
16 The word of Christ should dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing yourselves in psalms, (and *k) in hymns, (and *k) in songs spiritual with grace singing in (the hearts *N+kO) of you (to God; *N+KO)
Laßt das Wort des Christus reichlich in euch wohnen, indem ihr in aller Weisheit euch [O. wohnen in aller Weisheit, indem ihr euch] gegenseitig lehrend und ermahnend mit Psalmen, Lobliedern und geistlichen Liedern, Gott singend in euren Herzen in Gnade. [d. h. im Geiste der Gnade]
17 And everything (which what *NK+o) (maybe *N+kO) you shall do in word or in deed, all in [the] name of [the] Lord Jesus giving thanks to God (and *k) [the] Father through Him.
Und alles, was immer ihr tut, im Wort oder im Werk, alles tut im Namen des Herrn Jesus, danksagend Gott, dem Vater, durch ihn.
18 you who [are] wives, do be submitted (to [your] own *K) husbands as was fitting in [the] Lord.
Ihr Weiber, seid euren [W. den] Männern unterwürfig, wie es sich geziemt in dem Herrn.
19 you who [are] Husbands, do love the wives and not do be harsh toward them.
Ihr Männer, liebet eure [W. die] Weiber und seid nicht bitter gegen sie.
20 you who [are] Children, do obey the parents in all things; this for pleasing is (in *N+kO) Lord.
Ihr Kinder, gehorchet euren [W. den] Eltern in allem, denn dies ist wohlgefällig im Herrn.
21 you who [are] Fathers, not do provoke the children of you, that not they may become discouraged.
Ihr Väter, ärgert eure Kinder nicht, auf daß sie nicht mutlos werden.
22 you who [are] Slaves, do obey in all things the according to flesh masters, not with (eye-service *N+kO) as men-pleasers but in sincerity of heart fearing the (Lord. *N+KO)
Ihr Knechte, [O. Sklaven] gehorchet in allem euren [W. den] Herren nach dem Fleische, nicht in Augendienerei, als Menschengefällige, sondern in Einfalt des Herzens, den Herrn fürchtend.
23 (and *k) (everything *K) that (any [of] *K) maybe you shall do, from [the] soul do work as to the Lord and not to men;
Was irgend ihr tut, arbeitet von Herzen, als dem Herrn und nicht den Menschen,
24 knowing that from [the] Lord (you will receive *NK+o) the reward of the inheritance; The (for *k) Lord Christ you serve.
da ihr wisset, daß ihr vom Herrn die Vergeltung des Erbes empfangen werdet; ihr dienet dem Herrn Christus.
25 The [one] (for *N+kO) doing wrong he will be repaid [for] what he has done wrong and not there is partiality.
Denn wer unrecht tut, wird das Unrecht empfangen, das er getan hat; und da ist kein Ansehen der Person.
