Acts 26

1 Agrippa then to Paul was saying; It is permitted you (for *N+kO) yourself to speak. Then Paul having stretched out the hand was presenting a defense:

੧ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਬਾਂਹ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ,

2 Concerning all of which I am accused by [the] Jews, King Agrippa, I have esteemed myself fortunate before you being about today to present a defense;

੨ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਧੰਨ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

3 Especially acquainted being you with all the of [the] Jews (customs *NK+o) and also controversies. therefore I implore (you *k) patiently to hear me.

੩ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਝਗੜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਕਿਫ਼ ਹੋ। ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ, ਧੀਰਜ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ।

4 The indeed then manner of life of mine which [is] from youth from [its] beginning having been among the nation of mine in (also *no) Jerusalem know all the Jews

੪ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਚਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੌਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।

5 knowing me from the first, if they may be willing to testify that according to the strictest sect of our own religion I lived [as] a Pharisee;

੫ਸੋ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਕਠੋਰ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਚਾਲ ਚੱਲਿਆ।

6 And now for [the] hope of the (to *N+kO) the fathers of us promise having been made by God I have stood being judged,

੬ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵਾਇਦੇ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹਾਂ।

7 to which the twelve tribes of us in earnestness night and day serving they hope to attain, concerning which hope I am accused (Agrippa *K) by (the *k) Jews, O king,

੭ਉਸੇ ਵਾਇਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਗੋਤ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਯਤਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ, ਇਸੇ ਆਸ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ!

8 Why incredible is it judged by you if God [the] dead raises?

੮ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਕਰੇ?

9 I myself indeed therefore thought in myself to the name of Jesus of Nazareth needing many things contrary to do,

੯ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

10 which also I did in Jerusalem and many (also *no) of the saints I myself (in *no) prisons locked up the from the chief priests authority having received, when were being executed then they I cast against [them] a vote;

੧੦ਸੋ ਇਹੋ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦਖ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

11 And in all the synagogues often punishing them I was compelling [them] to blaspheme, Excessively then being furious against them I was persecuting [them] as far as even to foreign cities.

੧੧ਮੈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਗਲਤ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ ਕੀਤਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਤ ਸ਼ੁਦਾਈ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।

12 during which (and *k) journeying to Damascus with [the] authority and commission which [is] (from *k) the chief priests

੧੨ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

13 At day mid on the road I saw, O king, from heaven above the brightness of the sun having shone around me a light and those with me myself journeying.

੧੩ਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ, ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜੋਤ ਸੂਰਜ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਵੇਖੀ।

14 All (and *N+kO) when were falling down we to the ground I heard a voice (saying *N+kO) to me (and saying *k) in the Hebrew language; Saul Saul, why Me persecute you? [It is] hard for you against [the] goads to kick.

੧੪ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਜੋ ਇਬਰਾਨੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਹੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਸਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਮੇਖਾਂ ਲੱਗੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਤ ਮਾਰਨੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਔਖੀ ਹੈ!

15 I myself then said; Who are You Lord? And (the Lord *no) said; I myself am Jesus whom you yourself are persecuting.

੧੫ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੌਣ ਹੋ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਸਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

16 But do rise up and do stand on the feet of you; to this [purpose] for I have appeared to you to appoint you a servant and a witness of that which both you have seen (of Me *NO) of the things in which then I will appear to you,

੧੬ਪਰ ਉੱਠ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਕ ਅਤੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਠਹਿਰਾਵਾਂ।

17 delivering you out from the people and (from *no) the Gentiles, to whom (I myself *N+KO) am sending you

੧੭ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕੌਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

18 to open eyes of them, that (to turn *NK+o) from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, [that] to receive they forgiveness of sins and [an] inheritance among those sanctified by faith which [is] in Me myself.

੧੮ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਨਣ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਪਾਉਣ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

19 So then, O king Agrippa, not I was disobedient to the heavenly vision,

੧੯ਸੋ ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਮੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ।

20 but to those in Damascus first (both *no) also in Jerusalem (into *k) all both the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles (I was declaring *N+kO) to repent and to turn to God worthy of repentance works doing.

੨੦ਸਗੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਫਿਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ, ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੋਬਾ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ।

21 On account of these things me (the *k) Jews having seized (being *n) in the temple they were attempting to kill.

੨੧ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।

22 Help therefore having obtained (from *N+kO) God unto day this I have stood (bearing witness *N+kO) to small both and to great, no [thing] other saying than what both the prophets said was about to happen and Moses,

੨੨ਸੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਛੋਟੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ

23 that would suffer the Christ, as first through resurrection from [the] dead light He is about to preach (to both *no) our people and to the Gentiles.

੨੩ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੁੱਖ ਝੱਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਇਸ ਕੌਮ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਚਾਨਣ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰੇ।

24 These things now when he is presenting a defense Festus in a loud voice (said; *N+kO) You are insane Paul! The great of you learning to insanity turns [you]!

੨੪ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਹ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਤੂੰ ਪਾਗਲ ਹੈਂ, ਬਹੁਤ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਗਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

25 But (Paul; *no) Not I am insane says most excellent Festus, but of truth and sobriety declarations I utter.

੨੫ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਪਾਗਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

26 Understands for concerning these things the king to whom also using boldness I speak; Hiding for him any of these things not I am persuaded no [thing]; not for is in a corner done of these things.

੨੬ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਰਾਜਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੈਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਲੁੱਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਕੋਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰੀ।

27 Believe you, King Agrippa, in the prophets? I know that you believe.

੨੭ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ?

28 Then Agrippa to Paul (was saying: *k) Within so little [time] me you [seek to] persuade a Christian (to become! *N+kO)

੨੮ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹੀ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਂ!

29 And Paul (said; *k) I would wish may God both in a little and in (much *N+kO) not only you but also all those hearing me this day to become such as also I myself am except chains these.

੨੯ਪੌਲੁਸ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਰੇ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕੇਵਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ!

30 (and these things when was speaking he *K) rose up (then *no) the king and the governor and Bernice and those sitting with them;

੩੦ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ, ਹਾਕਮ, ਬਰਨੀਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ ਉੱਠ ਖੜੇ ਹੋਏ

31 and having withdrawn they were speaking to one another saying that No [thing] of death or of chains worthy (any *NO) is doing man this.

੩੧ਅਤੇ ਅਲੱਗ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਂ ਕੈਦ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।

32 Agrippa then to Festus was saying; to have been released was able man this, only unless he had appealed to Caesar.

੩੨ਉਪਰੰਤ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਜੇ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੈਸਰ ਦੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਨਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਛੁੱਟ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ।
