Acts 25
1 Festus therefore having arrived in the province after three days he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea,
੧ਉਪਰੰਤ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਉਸ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ।
2 Made a presentation (then *N+kO) before him (the *N+kO) (chief priests *N+KO) and the chiefs of the Jews against Paul and they were begging him
੨ਤਦ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਭਰੇ।
3 asking a favor against him, that he may summon him to Jerusalem, an ambush forming to execute him on the way.
੩ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਿੰਨਤਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਲਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ ਬਣਾਈ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਣ।
4 Indeed therefore Festus answered that is to be kept Paul (in Caesarea, *N+kO) he himself however ensuing with speed to set out;
੪ਉਪਰੰਤ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ।
5 Those therefore among you he says [in] power having gone down too, if anything there is in the man wrong, they should accuse him.
੫ਫੇਰ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਔਗੁਣ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਨ।
6 Having spent then with them days (not *NO) more (than eight *NO) or ten, having gone down to Caesarea, on the next day having sat on the judgment seat he commanded Paul to be brought.
੬ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਅੱਠ ਦਸ ਦਿਨ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਣ।
7 When was arriving then he they stood around (him *NO) the from Jerusalem having come down Jews many and weighty charges (presenting *N+kO) (concerning Paul *K) which not they were able to prove,
੭ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਖੜੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਬਤ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ।
8 (Paul *no) was presenting a defense (of him *k) that Neither [I sinned] against the law of the Jews nor [I sinned] against the temple nor against Caesar [in] anything have I sinned.
੮ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦਾ, ਨਾ ਹੈਕਲ ਦਾ, ਨਾ ਕੈਸਰ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਗਾੜਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 Festus however wishing from the Jews a favor to lay, answering Paul said; Are you willing to Jerusalem having gone up there concerning these things (to be judged *N+kO) before me?
੯ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਕਰੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ?
10 Said then Paul; Before the judgment seat of Caesar standing I am, where me it behooves to be judged. To [the] Jews no [thing] (I have done wrong, *NK+o) as also you yourself very well know;
੧੦ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਕੈਸਰੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਗਲਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ।
11 If indeed (therefore *N+kO) I do wrong and worthy of death have done anything, not I do refuse to die; If however no [thing] there is of which they [can] accuse me, no [one] me can to them giving up. To Caesar I appeal!
੧੧ਸੋ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਗਲਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਤਲ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਕਤਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰੇ। ਮੈਂ ਕੈਸਰ ਦੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ!
12 Then Festus having conferred with the Council answered; To Caesar You have appealed, to Caesar you will go!
੧੨ਤਦ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕੈਸਰ ਦੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਕੈਸਰ ਹੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ!
13 When days now having passed some Agrippa the king and Bernice came down to Caesarea (greeting *N+kO) Festus.
੧੩ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨੀਕੇ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ।
14 As now many days (they were staying *NK+o) there, Festus to the king laid before the [things] relating to Paul saying; A man certain there is left by Felix [as] a prisoner,
੧੪ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਲਿਕਸ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ।
15 concerning whom having been of me in Jerusalem made a presentation the chief priests and the elders of the Jews asking against him (penalty; *N+kO)
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਵੇ।
16 to whom I answered that not it is [the] custom with Romans to give up any man (into punishment *K) before than the [one] being accused to face he would be [able] the accusers [the] opportunity and of defense he would have concerning the accusation.
੧੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਰੋਮੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਨਾ ਪਾਵੇ।
17 When were assembling therefore they here delay no having made, on the next [day] having sat on the judgment seat I commanded to be brought the man;
੧੭ਸੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਕਰਨ।
18 concerning whom having stood up the accusers no charge (were bringing *N+kO) of which I myself was suspect (crimes; *N+O)
੧੮ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਖੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਬੁਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਸੀ।
19 Questions however certain concerning the own religion they had against him and concerning a certain Jesus having died whom was affirming Paul to be alive.
੧੯ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੇਵਪੂਜਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੋ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਝਗੜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
20 Being perplexed now I myself (into *k) concerning (these *N+kO) inquiry was asking if he would be willing to go to Jerusalem and there and there to be judged concerning these things.
੨੦ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੁਬਧਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਿਬੇੜਾ ਕਰਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਹੋਵੇ?
21 But Paul having appealed for to be kept himself for the Emperor's decision I commanded to be kept him until that (I may return *N+kO) him to Caesar.
੨੧ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿਓ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਰਹੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਸਰ ਕੋਲ ਨਾ ਭੇਜਾਂ।
22 Agrippa then to Festus (was saying: *k) I was wanting also myself the man to hear. (now *k) Tomorrow he says you will hear him.
੨੨ਉਪਰੰਤ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਕੱਲ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸੁਣ ਲਵੀਂ।
23 On the therefore next day when was coming Agrippa and Bernice with great pomp and having entered into the audience hall with both (to the *k) commanders and to men who in prominence (being *k) in the city and when was commanding Festus was brought in Paul.
੨੩ਸੋ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨੀਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਧੂਮ-ਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਚਿਹਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜੇ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਏ।
24 And says Festus; Agrippa King and all you who [are] (being present with *NK+o) us men, you see this one concerning whom (all *N+kO) the multitude of the Jews (they pleaded *NK+o) with me in both Jerusalem and here (crying [that] *N+kO) not needing of him to live no longer.
੨੪ਤਦ ਫ਼ੇਸਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਦਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੀ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ।
25 I myself however (having grasped *N+kO) nothing worthy him of death to have done, (and *k) himself and of this one having appealed to the Emperor I determined to send (him. *k)
੨੫ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕਤਲ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿਆਂ।
26 concerning whom definite anything to write to [my] lord not I have, Therefore I have brought him before you all and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that when the examination having taken place I may have something (I may write; *N+kO)
੨੬ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੋਈ ਠੀਕ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦੀ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗ੍ਰਿੱਪਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜਾਂਚ-ਪੜਤਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਲਿਖ ਸਕਾਂ।
27 Absurd for to me it seems [in] sending a prisoner not also the against him charges to specify.
੨੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਿਆਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਦੀ ਭੇਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਨਾ ਦੱਸਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੀ ਦੋਸ਼ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
