1 Thessalonians 3

1 Therefore no longer enduring we thought it best to be left behind in Athens alone

Тим же вже, не стерпівши, зволили ми зостати ся самим в Атинах,

2 and we sent Timothy the brother of us and (servant *KO) (and *K) fellow worker (of us *K) of God in the gospel of Christ in order to strengthen you and to encourage (you *k) (concerning *N+kO) the faith of you,

і послали ми Тимотея, брата нашого, й слугу Божого, й помічника нашого в благовістю Христовому, утвердити вас і втішити вас у вірі вашій,

3 no one [is] to be moved by tribulations these; Yourselves for you know that for this we are destined;

щоб нї один не хитавсь у горю сьому; самі бо знаєте, що нас на се поставлено.

4 And indeed when with you we were, we were telling beforehand you that we are about to suffer affliction even as also it came to pass and you know;

Бо коли і в вас були ми, наперед казали вам, що маємо горювати, яко ж і сталось, і знаєте.

5 Because of this I myself also I myself also no longer enduring I sent in order to know the faith of you, lest perhaps tempted you the [one] tempting and in vain may be the labor of us.

Того. ж то й я, більш не стерпівши, послав довідатись про віру вашу, щоб не спокусив вас спокусник, і не марний буде труд наш.

6 Presently however when was coming Timothy to us from you and having evangelised to us of the faith and the love of you and that you have a remembrance of us good always longing us to see just as also we ourselves you,

Тепер же, як прийшов Тимотей до нас од вас, та благовістив нам про віру вашу і любов, і що маєте спомин про нас добрий завсїди, бажаючи нас видїти, яко ж і ми вас,

7 because of this we were encouraged, brothers, as to you in all the distress and tribulation of us through your faith;

тим то втішились ми, браттє, вами у всякому горю, і нужді нашій, вашою вірою:

8 For now we live, if you yourselves (are standing firm *N+kO) in [the] Lord.

бо ми тепер живі, коли ви стоїте в Господі.

9 What for thanksgiving are we able to God to give concerning you in return for all the joy that we rejoice because of you before the God of us,

Яку ж бо дяку Богу можемо оддати за вас, за всю радість, якою радуємось задля вас перед Богом нашим,

10 by night and day super overexcessively super overexcessively super overexcessively imploring for [us] to see your face and to supply the [things] lacking in the faith of you?

ніч і день ревно молячись, щоб видїти лице ваше і доповнити недостаток віри вашої?

11 Himself now the God and Father of us and the Lord of us Jesus (Christ *K) would direct the way of us to you;

Сам же Бог і Отець наш і Господь наш Ісус Христос нехай направить путь наш до вас.

12 You now the Lord would make to increase and He would abound in love toward one another and toward all just as also we ourselves toward you

Вас же нехай Господь намножить і збагатить любовю один до одного й до всіх, яко ж і ми до вас,

13 in order to strengthen your hearts blameless in holiness before the God and Father of us at the coming of the Lord of us Jesus (Christ *K) with all the saints of Him (Amen. *N)

щоб утвердити серця ваші непорочні в сьвятостї перед Богом, Отцем нашим у прихід Господа наглого Ісуса Хриота з усіма сьвятими Його.
