1 John 5
1 Everyone who is believing that Jesus is the Christ of God has been born, and everyone who is loving the [One] having begotten [Him] loves also the [one] begotten from Him.
Πας όστις πιστεύει ότι ο Ιησούς είναι ο Χριστός, εκ του Θεού εγεννήθη, και πας όστις αγαπά τον γεννήσαντα αγαπά και τον γεννηθέντα εξ αυτού.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when God we may love and the commandments of Him (we may perform. *N+kO)
Εκ τούτου γνωρίζομεν ότι αγαπώμεν τα τέκνα του Θεού, όταν τον Θεόν αγαπώμεν και τας εντολάς αυτού φυλάττωμεν.
3 This for is the love of God, that the commandments of Him we may keep; and the commandments of Him burdensome not are.
Διότι αύτη είναι η αγάπη του Θεού, το να φυλάττωμεν τας εντολάς αυτού· και αι εντολαί αυτού βαρείαι δεν είναι.
4 For everyone who born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory which having overcome the world: the faith of us.
Διότι παν ό, τι εγεννήθη εκ του Θεού νικά τον κόσμον· και αύτη είναι η νίκη η νικήσασα τον κόσμον, η πίστις ημών.
5 who (now *no) is the [one] overcoming the world only except the [one] believing that Jesus is the Son of God?
Τις είναι ο νικών τον κόσμον ειμή ο πιστεύων ότι ο Ιησούς είναι ο Υιός του Θεού;
6 This is the [One] having come through water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and (by *no) blood; And the Spirit is the [One] testifying, because the Spirit is the truth;
Ούτος είναι ο ελθών δι' ύδατος και αίματος, Ιησούς ο Χριστός· ουχί διά του ύδατος μόνον, αλλά διά του ύδατος και του αίματος· και το Πνεύμα είναι το οποίον μαρτυρεί, επειδή το Πνεύμα είναι η αλήθεια.
7 For three there are those bearing testimony: (in the heaven the Father the Word and the Holy Spirit and these three one are *K)
Διότι τρεις είναι οι μαρτυρούντες εν τω ουρανώ, ο Πατήρ, ο Λόγος και το Άγιον Πνεύμα, και ούτοι οι τρεις είναι έν·
8 (and three are those bearing testimony in the earth: *K) the Spirit and the water and the blood — and these three in one are.
και τρεις είναι οι μαρτυρούντες εν τη γη, το Πνεύμα και το ύδωρ και το αίμα, και οι τρεις ούτοι αναφέρονται εις το εν.
9 If the testimony of men we receive, the testimony of God greater is, For this is the testimony of God (that *N+kO) He has testified concerning the Son of Him.
Εάν δεχώμεθα την μαρτυρίαν των ανθρώπων, η μαρτυρία του Θεού είναι μεγαλητέρα· διότι αύτη είναι η μαρτυρία του Θεού, την οποίαν εμαρτύρησε περί του Υιού αυτού.
10 The [one] believing in the Son of God has the testimony in (himself; *NK+o) The [one] not believing in God a liar has made Him, because not he has believed in the testimony that has testified God concerning the Son Him.
Όστις πιστεύει εις τον Υιόν του Θεού έχει την μαρτυρίαν εν εαυτώ· όστις δεν πιστεύει εις τον Θεόν, έκαμεν αυτόν ψεύστην, διότι δεν επίστευσεν εις την μαρτυρίαν, την οποίαν εμαρτύρησεν ο Θεός περί του Υιού αυτού.
11 And this is the testimony that life eternal has given to us God; and this the life in the Son of Him is. (aiōnios g166)
Και αύτη είναι μαρτυρία, ότι ζωήν αιώνιον έδωκεν εις ημάς ο Θεός, και αύτη η ζωή είναι εν τω Υιώ αυτού. (aiōnios g166)
12 The [one] having the Son has life; the [one] not having the Son of God life not has.
Όστις έχει τον Υιόν έχει την ζωήν· όστις δεν έχει τον Υιόν του Θεού, την ζωήν δεν έχει.
13 These things have I written to you (to those believing into the name of the Son of God *K) so that you may know that life you have eternal (and so that *K) (to those *no) (believing *N+kO) in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
Ταύτα έγραψα προς εσάς τους πιστεύοντας εις το όνομα του Υιού του Θεού, διά να γνωρίζητε ότι έχετε ζωήν αιώνιον, και διά να πιστεύητε εις το όνομα του Υιού του Θεού. (aiōnios g166)
14 And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if anything we shall ask according to the will of Him He hears us;
Και αύτη είναι η παρρησία, την οποίαν έχομεν προς αυτόν, ότι εάν ζητώμέν τι κατά το θέλημα αυτού, ακούει ημάς.
15 And if we know that He hears us whatever (maybe *N+kO) we shall ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked (from *N+kO) Him.
Και εάν εξεύρωμεν ότι ακούει ημάς ό, τι αν ζητήσωμεν, εξεύρομεν ότι λαμβάνομεν τα ζητήματα, τα οποία εζητήσαμεν παρ' αυτού.
16 If anyone shall see the brother of him sinning a sin not unto death, he will ask and He will give to him life, to those sinning not unto death. There is a sin unto death; not concerning that [one] do I say that he may implore.
Εάν τις ίδη τον αδελφόν αυτού αμαρτάνοντα αμαρτίαν ουχί θανάσιμον, θέλει ζητήσει, και ο Θεός θέλει δώσει εις αυτόν ζωήν, εις τους αμαρτάνοντας ουχί θανασίμως. Είναι αμαρτία θανάσιμος· δεν λέγω περί εκείνης να παρακαλέση.
17 All unrighteousness sin is, and there is sin not unto death.
Πάσα αδικία είναι αμαρτία· και είναι αμαρτία ουχί θανάσιμος.
18 We know that everyone who born of God not continues to sin; but the [One] having been begotten of God protects (himself, *NK+o) and the evil [one] not does touch him.
Εξεύρομεν ότι πας ο γεννηθείς εκ του Θεού δεν αμαρτάνει, αλλ' όστις εγεννήθη εκ του Θεού φυλάττει αυτόν, και ο πονηρός δεν εγγίζει αυτόν.
19 We know that of God we are and the world whole in the evil [one] lies.
Εξεύρομεν ότι εκ του Θεού είμεθα, και ο κόσμος όλος εν τω πονηρώ κείται.
20 We know now that the Son of God is come and has given us understanding so that (we may know *NK+o) Him who [is] true, and we are in Him who [is] true, in the Son of Him Jesus Christ. He is the true God and life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Εξεύρομεν δε ότι ο Υιός του Θεού ήλθε και έδωκεν εις ημάς νόησιν, διά να γνωρίζωμεν τον αληθινόν· και είμεθα εν τω αληθινώ, εν τω Υιώ αυτού Ιησού Χριστώ. Ούτος είναι ο αληθινός Θεός και η ζωή η αιώνιος. (aiōnios g166)
21 Little children, do keep (yourselves *N+kO) from idols (Amen. *KO)
Τεκνία, φυλάξατε εαυτούς από των ειδώλων· αμήν.
