1 Corinthians 10

1 Not I want (for *N+kO) you to be ignorant, brothers, that the fathers of us all under the cloud were and all through the sea passed,

Frères, je ne veux pas que vous ignoriez que nos pères ont tous été sous la nuée, et qu'ils ont tous passé au travers de la mer;

2 and all into Moses (were baptized *N+kO) in the cloud and in the sea

Et qu'ils ont tous été baptisés en Moïse dans la nuée et dans la mer;

3 and all the same spiritual food ate

Et qu'ils ont tous mangé de la même nourriture spirituelle;

4 and all the same spiritual they drank drink they were drinking for from [the] spiritual accompanying [them] rock, the rock then was Christ;

Et qu'ils ont tous bu du même breuvage spirituel; car ils buvaient de l'eau du rocher spirituel qui les suivait; et ce rocher était Christ;

5 Nevertheless not with the most of them was well pleased God; they were strewn for in the wilderness.

Mais Dieu ne mit point son affection en la plupart d'entre eux; car ils tombèrent morts dans le désert.

6 These things now types to us have become for not to be us desirers of evil things even as they also they also desired.

Or, ces choses sont arrivées pour nous servir d'exemple, afin que nous ne désirions point de mauvaises choses, comme ils en désirèrent.

7 Neither idolaters do become even as some of them (as *N+kO) it has been written: Sat down the people to eat and to drink and rose up to play.

Ne devenez donc point idolâtres, comme quelques-uns d'entre eux, selon qu'il est écrit: Le peuple s'assit pour manger et pour boire, puis ils se levèrent pour danser.

8 Neither shall we commit sexual immorality even as some of them committed sexual immorality, and fell (in *k) one day twenty three thousand.

Ne commettons point fornication, comme quelques-uns d'entre eux commirent fornication; et il y en eut vingt-trois mille qui périrent en un même jour.

9 Neither shall we test the (Christ *NK+O) even as (and *k) some of them tested, and by serpents (were destroyed. *N+kO)

Et ne tentons point le Christ, comme quelques-uns d'entre eux le tentèrent; et ils périrent par les serpents.

10 Neither do grumble (just as *N+kO) (and *k) some of them grumbled, and perished by the Destroyer.

Et ne murmurez point, comme quelques-uns d'entre eux murmurèrent; et ils périrent par l'exterminateur.

11 These things now (all *K) (typologically it was happening *N+kO) to them, were written then for admonition of us to whom the ends of the ages (has come. *N+kO) (aiōn g165)

Or, toutes ces choses leur arrivaient pour servir d'exemple; et elles sont écrites pour nous instruire, nous qui sommes parvenus aux derniers temps. (aiōn g165)

12 Therefore the [one] thinking to have stood he should take heed lest he may fall.

C'est pourquoi, que celui qui croit être debout, prenne garde qu'il ne tombe.

13 Temptation you not has seized only except what is common to man; faithful now [is] God, who not will allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will provide with the temptation also the escape to be able (you *k) to endure [it].

Aucune tentation ne vous est survenue, qui n'ait été une tentation humaine. Or, Dieu est fidèle, et il ne permettra point que vous soyez tentés au-delà de vos forces; mais avec la tentation il vous en donnera aussi l'issue, afin que vous puissiez la supporter.

14 Therefore, beloved of mine, do flee from idolatry.

C'est pourquoi, mes bien-aimés, fuyez l'idolâtrie.

15 As to sensible [ones] I speak, do judge for yourselves what I say.

Je vous parle comme à des personnes intelligentes; jugez vous-mêmes de ce que je dis.

16 The cup of blessing that we bless, surely a participation it is in the blood of Christ The bread that we break, surely a participation in the body of Christ it is?

La coupe de bénédiction que nous bénissons, n'est-elle pas la communion au sang de Christ? Le pain que nous rompons, n'est-il pas la communion au corps de Christ?

17 Because [there is] one loaf one body the many we are; for all of the one loaf we partake.

Comme il y a un seul pain, nous qui sommes plusieurs, ne sommes qu'un seul corps; car nous participons tous au même pain.

18 do consider Israel according to flesh: (Surely *N+kO) those eating the sacrifices fellow partakers in the altar are?

Voyez l'Israël selon la chair; ceux qui mangent des victimes, n'ont-ils pas communion avec l'autel?

19 What then do I mean? That an idol-sacrifice anything is or that an idol anything is?

Que dis-je donc? que l'idole soit quelque chose? ou, que ce qui est sacrifié à l'idole, soit quelque chose?

20 Rather that what (they sacrifice *N+kO) (the *ko) (gentiles *KO) to demons and not to God (they sacrifice; *N+kO) Not I do wish now you fellow partakers with demons to be.

Non; mais que ce que les Gentils sacrifient, ils le sacrifient à des démons, et non à Dieu. Or, je ne veux pas que vous ayez communion avec les démons.

21 Not you are able [the] cup of [the] Lord to drink and [the] cup of demons; Not you are able of [the] table of [the] Lord to partake and of [the] table of demons.

Vous ne pouvez boire la coupe du Seigneur, et la coupe des démons; vous ne pouvez participer à la table du Seigneur, et à la table des démons.

22 Or do we provoke to jealousy the Lord? Surely not stronger than He are we?

Voulons-nous provoquer la jalousie du Seigneur? Sommes-nous plus forts que lui?

23 All things (to me *K) are lawful but not all things are profitable; All things (to me *K) are lawful but not all edify.

Tout m'est permis, mais tout n'est pas utile; tout m'est permis, mais tout n'édifie pas.

24 No one the [good] of himself should seek but that of the other (each. *K)

Que personne ne cherche son avantage particulier, mais que chacun cherche celui d'autrui.

25 Everything in the meat market being sold do eat nothing inquiring on account of conscience;

Mangez de tout ce qui se vend à la boucherie, sans vous enquérir de rien, à cause de la conscience;

26 The Lord’s for [is] the earth and the fullness of it.

Car: La terre est au Seigneur, et tout ce qu'elle contient.

27 If (now *k) anyone invites you of the unbelieving and you wish to go, everything which is being set before you do eat nothing inquiring on account of conscience;

Si un infidèle vous convie, et que vous vouliez aller chez lui, mangez de tout ce qu'on vous présentera, sans vous enquérir de rien pour la conscience.

28 If however anyone to you shall say; This (temple-sacrifice *N+kO) is, not do eat on account of him which having shown [it] and conscience; (of the for Lord [is] the earth and the fullness of her. *K)

Mais si quelqu'un vous dit: Ceci a été sacrifié aux idoles; n'en mangez point, à cause de celui qui vous a avertis, et à cause de la conscience; car: Au Seigneur appartient la terre, et tout ce qu'elle contient.

29 [the] conscience now I am saying [is] not your own but that of the other. so why so why for the freedom of mine is judged by another’s conscience?

Or, je dis la conscience, non point la tienne, mais celle de l'autre; car pourquoi ma liberté serait-elle condamnée par la conscience d'un autre?

30 If (now *k) I myself with thankfulness partake, why am I denigrated for that which I myself give thanks?

Et si je mange avec actions de grâces, pourquoi serais-je blâmé pour une chose dont je rends grâces.

31 Whether therefore you eat or drink or whatever you perform, all things to the glory of God do perform.

Soit donc que vous mangiez, soit que vous buviez, ou que vous fassiez quelque autre chose, faites tout pour la gloire de Dieu.

32 Without offense both to Jews do you be and to Greeks and to the church of God —

Ne donnez aucun scandale, ni aux Juifs, ni aux Grecs, ni à l'Église de Dieu;

33 even as I myself also I myself also all in all things please not seeking the of myself (profiting *N+kO) but that of the many that they may be saved.

Comme moi aussi, je m'efforce de plaire à tous en toutes choses, ne cherchant point mon intérêt, mais celui de plusieurs, afin qu'ils soient sauvés.
