< Joshua 18 >

1 Then were gathered together all the assembly of the sons of Israel at Shiloh, and they set up there, the tent of meeting, —the land, having been subdued before them.
Pea ko e kakai kotoa pē ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli naʻa nau fakakātoa ʻakinautolu ʻi Sailo, ʻonau fokotuʻu ʻi ai ʻae fale fehikitaki ʻoe kakai. Pea naʻe fakavaivai ʻae fonua ʻi honau ʻao.
2 But there remained among the sons of Israel, to whom had not been apportioned their inheritance, —seven tribes.
Pea naʻe kei toe ʻi he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻae faʻahinga ʻe fitu, ʻoku teʻeki maʻu honau tofiʻa.
3 So Joshua said unto the sons of Israel, —How long, will ye be too slothful, to enter in and take possession of the land, which Yahweh God of your fathers, hath given unto you?
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Siosiua ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, “ʻE tuku ʻafē hoʻomou fakatuai ʻo ʻikai ʻalu ke maʻu ʻae fonua, ʻaia kuo foaki kiate kimoutolu ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi tamai?
4 Set forth for you three men for each tribe, —that I may send them, that they may arise—and go up and down in the land—and map it out as required for their inheritance, and come in unto me.
Fili meiate kimoutolu ha tangata ʻe toko tolu mei he faʻahinga kotoa pē: pea te u fekauʻi ʻakinautolu, pea kenau tuʻu hake ʻo ʻalu ʻo ʻasi ʻi he fonua, ke fakahā ia ʻo fakatatau ki honau tofiʻa; pea tenau toe haʻu kiate au.
5 So shall they apportion it for themselves into seven parts, —Let, Judah, stay upon his boundary, on the south, and, the house of Joseph, stay upon their boundary, on the north,
Pea kenau vahe ia ki he vāhenga ʻe fitu: ʻe nofo ʻa Siuta ʻi honau tofiʻa ʻi he potu tonga, pea ke nofomaʻu ʻae fale ʻo Siosefa ʻi honau tofiʻa ʻi he tokelau.
6 but, ye, shall map out the [rest of the] land, into seven parts, —and bring in [your descriptions] unto me, here, —then will I cast lots for you here, before Yahweh our God.
Ko ia ke mou fakaasiasi ʻae fonua ʻo vahe fitu, pea ʻomi kiate au hono tohi ʻo fakaʻilonga ki heni, koeʻuhi ke u fai ʻae talotalo kiate kimoutolu ʻi heni ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko homou ʻOtua.
7 For Levi hath no portion in your midst, for, the priesthood of Yahweh, is his inheritance, —and, Gad, and Reuben, and the half tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance, beyond the Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave unto them.
Ka ko e kau Livai ʻoku ʻikai hanau tofiʻa ʻiate kimoutolu; he ko e ngāue ʻae taulaʻeiki ʻo Sihova ko honau tofiʻa: pea ko Kata mo Lupeni, mo hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, kuo nau maʻu honau tofiʻa ʻituʻa Sioatani ʻi he potu hahake, ʻaia naʻe foaki ʻe Mōsese ko e tamaioʻeiki ʻa Sihova kiate kinautolu.”
8 So the men arose, and went, —and Joshua commanded them who were going, to map out the land, saying—Take your journey and go up and down in the land, and map it out, and return unto me, and, here, will I cast lots for you before Yahweh, in Shiloh.
Pea naʻe tuʻu hake ʻae kau tangata, ʻo ʻalu atu; pea naʻe fekau ʻe Siosiua kiate kinautolu naʻe ʻalu ke tohitohi ʻae fonua, ʻo pehē, “ʻAlu ʻo ʻosiki ʻae fonua, pea tohi ia, pea toe haʻu kiate au, koeʻuhi ke u fai ʻae talotalo kiate kimoutolu ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ʻi Sailo.”
9 So the men went, and passed through the land, and mapped it out by cities, into seven parts, upon a scroll, —and came in unto Joshua, unto the camp, in Shiloh.
Pea naʻe ʻalu ʻae kau tangata ʻo mole ʻo ʻasi ʻi he fonua, ʻo tohi vahevahe ia ʻi he tohi ko e vahe fitu, ʻo [nau ]toe haʻu kia Siosiua ki he fakataha ki Sailo.
10 And Joshua cast for them lots, in Shiloh, before Yahweh, —and Joshua there apportioned the land unto the sons of Israel, according to their portions.
Pea naʻe fai ʻe Siosiua ʻae talotalo moʻonautolu ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ʻi Sailo: pea naʻe vahevahe ʻi ai ʻe Siosiua ʻae fonua ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi vahevahe.
11 Then came up the lot of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, by their families, —and the boundary of their lot came out, between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.
Pea ko e tofiʻa ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Penisimani naʻe ʻalu hake ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga: pea ko e ngataʻanga ʻo honau tofiʻa naʻe hoko atu ʻi he vahaʻa ʻoe fānau ʻa Siuta mo e fānau ʻa Siosefa.
12 And so their boundary, on the north border, was from the Jordan, —and the boundary goeth up unto the side of Jericho on the north, and goeth up in the hill country, westward, and the extensions thereof are towards the wilderness of Beth-aven;
Pea ko honau ngataʻanga, ʻi he potu tokelau naʻe fai mei Sioatani; pea naʻe ʻalu hake ʻae matafonua ki he potu ʻo Seliko ʻi he potu tokelau, pea ʻalu ʻo mole ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻi he potu lulunga: pea ko hono ngaahi ʻaluʻanga kituaʻā naʻe ʻi he toafa ʻo Pete-ʻAveni.
13 and the boundary passeth over from thence towards Luz, to the side of Luz, southwards, the same, is Bethel, —and the boundary goeth down to Ataroth-addah, by the mountain that is on the south of Beth-horon the nether;
Pea mole hono ngataʻanga mei ai ʻo hanga ki Lusa, ki he potu ʻo Lusa ʻaia ko Peteli ʻi he potu tonga; pea ʻalu hifo ai hono ngataʻanga ki ʻAtaloti ata, ʻo ofi ki he moʻunga ʻoku tuʻu ʻi he potu tonga ki Pete-Holoni ʻi lalo.
14 then turneth the boundary and goeth round the west border, southward, from the mountain which faceth Beth-horon, southward, and so the extensions thereof are unto Kiriath-baal—the same, is Kiriath-jearim, a city of the sons of Judah, —this, is the west border.
Pea naʻe fai atu mei ai ʻae ngataʻanga, ʻo ne ʻalu fakatakatakamilo ki he potu tahi ʻo hanga ki tonga, mei he moʻunga ʻoku tuʻu ʻi he ʻao ʻo Pete-Holoni, ki tonga; pea naʻe aʻu atu hono ngataʻanga ki Kesa-Peali ʻaia ko Kesa-Sialimi, ko e kolo ʻae fānau ʻa Siuta: ko hono potu lulunga ia.
15 And, the border southward, is from the uttermost part of Kiriath-jearim, —and the boundary goeth out westward, yea it goeth out unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;
Pea ko hono ngataʻanga ki tonga, naʻe fai mei he potu ʻo Kesa-Sialimi, pea ʻalu atu kituʻa ʻi he potu lulunga, ʻo mole atu ki he vai ʻo Nefitoa:
16 and the boundary goeth down to the uttermost part of the mountain which faceth the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the Vale of Giants, northward, —and descendeth the valley of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite, southward, and then descendeth to En-rogel;
Pea naʻe ʻalu hifo hono ngataʻanga ki he muileleu ʻoe moʻunga ʻaia ʻoku tuʻu ʻi he ʻao ʻoe teleʻa ʻoe foha ʻo Henomi, ʻaia ko e teleʻa ʻoe kakai lalahi ʻi he potu tokelau, pea ʻalu hifo ki he teleʻa ʻo Henomi, ki he potu ʻo Sepusi ʻi he potu tonga, pea ʻalu hifo ki Enilokeli.
17 and it turneth on the north, and goeth out at En-shemesh, and goeth out unto Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, —and goeth down by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
Pea naʻe fai atu mei he tokelau, ʻo ʻalu atu ki Eni-Semesi, pea ʻalu atu ʻo hanga ki Kililote, ʻaia ʻoku hangatonu atu ki he hakeʻanga ki ʻAtumima, pea naʻe ʻalu hifo ki he maka ʻo Pohani ko e foha ʻo Lupeni,
18 and passeth along unto the side over against the Arabah, northward, —and goeth down toward the Arabah;
Pea ʻalu ai pe ʻo hanga ki he potu ʻoku hangatonu atu ki ʻAlapa ki tokelau, pea ʻalu hifo ki ʻAlapa:
19 and the boundary passeth along unto the side of Beth-hoglah, northward, and so the extensions of the boundary are unto the bay of the Salt Sea, northward, unto the end of the Jordan, southward, —This, is the south boundary.
Pea naʻe ʻalu ai pe ʻae ngataʻanga ki he potu ʻo Pete-Hokila ki tokelau; pea ko hono ngataʻanga ʻoe matafonua, naʻe ʻi he potu ki kō fakatokelau ʻoe Tahi Kona ʻi he potu fakatonga ʻo Sioatani: ko hono ngataʻanga eni ʻoe potu ki tonga.
20 And, the Jordan itself, boundeth it as an eastward border. This, is the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by the boundaries thereof round about, by their families.
Pea ko hono ngataʻanga ʻo ia ʻi he potu hahake ko Sioatani. Ko eni ʻae tofiʻa ʻoe fānau ʻa Penisimani, ʻi hono ngataʻanga fakatakamilo, ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga.
21 So then the cities of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, by their families, are, —Jericho and Beth-hoglah, and Emekkeziz,
Pea ko eni, ko e ngaahi kolo ʻoe faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Penisimani ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga, ko Seliko, mo Pete-Hokila, mo e teleʻa ko Kesisi,
22 and Beth-arabah and Zemaraim, and Bethel,
Mo Pete-ʻAlapa, mo Sema-Leimi, mo Peteli,
23 and Avvim and Parah and Ophrah,
Mo ʻAvimi, mo Pala, mo Ofili,
24 and Chephar-ammoni and Ophni, and Geba, —twelve cities, with their villages:
Mo Kifa ʻoe fānau ʻo ʻAmoni, mo Ofini, mo Kepa; ko e kolo ʻe hongofulu ma ua, mo honau ngaahi potu kakai:
25 Gibeon and Ramah, and Beeroth,
Ko Kipione, mo Lama, mo Piheloti,
26 and Mizpeh and Chephirah, and Mozah,
Mo Misipa, mo Kifila, mo Mosa,
27 and Rekem and Irpeel, and Taralah,
Mo Lekimi, mo Ilipeli, mo Talela.
28 and Zelah, Eleph, and the Jebusite, the same, is Jerusalem, Gibeath [and] Kiriath, fourteen cities, with their villages. This, is the inheritance of the song of Benjamin, by their families.
Mo Sela, mo Elefi, mo Sepusi, ʻaia ko Selūsalema, mo Kipea, mo Keasa; ko e kolo, ʻe hongofulu ma fā, mo honau ngaahi potu kakai. Ko eni ʻae tofiʻa ʻoe fānau ʻa Penisimani ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga.
