Exodus 15

1 Then, sang Moses, and the sons of Israel, this song unto Yahweh, and they spake, saying, —I will sing to Yahweh, for he is exalted, exalted, —The horse and his rider, hath he cast into the sea.

Τότε έψαλεν ο Μωϋσής και οι υιοί Ισραήλ την ωδήν ταύτην προς τον Κύριον, και είπον λέγοντες, Ας ψάλλω προς τον Κύριον· διότι εδοξάσθη ενδόξως· τον ίππον και τον αναβάτην αυτού έρριψεν εις την θάλασσαν.

2 My might and melody, is Yah, And he became mine, by salvation, —This, is my GOD, and I will glorify him, The God of my father and I will set him on high.

Ο Κύριος είναι η δύναμίς μου και το άσμά μου, και εστάθη η σωτηρία μου· αυτός είναι Θεός μου και θέλω δοξάσει αυτόν· Θεός του πατρός μου, και θέλω υψώσει αυτόν.

3 Yahweh is a warlike one, —Yahweh, is his name.

Ο Κύριος είναι δυνατός πολεμιστής· Κύριος το όνομα αυτού.

4 The chariots of Pharaoh and his train, hath he cast into the sea, —Yea, the choice of his warriors, were sunk in the Sedgy Sea.

Του Φαραώ τας αμάξας και το στράτευμα αυτού έρριψεν εις την θάλασσαν· και εκλεκτοί πολέμαρχοι αυτού κατεποντίσθησαν εν τη Ερυθρά θαλάσση.

5 Roaring deeps, covered them, —They went down in the raging depths like a stone.

Αι άβυσσοι εσκέπασαν αυτούς· ως πέτρα κατεβυθίσθησαν εις τα βάθη.

6 Thy right hand, O Yahweh is splendid in power, —Thy right hand, O Yahweh dasheth in pieces a foe;

Η δεξιά σου, Κύριε, εδοξάσθη εις δύναμιν· η δεξιά σου, Κύριε, συνέτριψε τον εχθρόν.

7 And in the greatness of thine exaltation, dost thou tear down thine opposers, —Thou dost send forth thy wrath, it consumeth them as straw;

Και με το μέγεθος της υπεροχής σου εξωλόθρευσας τους υπεναντίους σου· εξαπέστειλας την οργήν σου και κατέφαγεν αυτούς ως καλάμην.

8 And with the blast of thy nostrils, heaped up are the waters, Upreared like a mound, are the flowing waves, —Roaring deeps are congealed in the heart of the sea.

Και με την πνοήν του θυμού σου τα ύδατα επεσωρεύθησαν ομού· τα κύματα εστάθησαν ως σωρός, αι άβυσσοι έπηξαν εν τω μέσω της θαλάσσης.

9 Said the foe—I will pursue—overtake divide spoil, —Take her fill of them—shall my soul, I will bare my sword, root them out—shall my hand.

Ο εχθρός είπε, Θέλω καταδιώξει, θέλω καταφθάσει, θέλω διαμοιρασθή τα λάφυρα· η ψυχή μου θέλει χορτασθή επ' αυτούς· θέλω σύρει την μάχαιράν μου, η χειρ μου θέλει αφανίσει αυτούς.

10 Thou didst blow with thy wind they were covered by the sea, —They rolled like lead, into the waters so wide.

Εφύσησας με τον άνεμόν σου και η θάλασσα εσκέπασεν αυτούς· κατεβυθίσθησαν ως μόλυβδος εις τα φοβερά ύδατα.

11 Who is, like unto thee, among the mighty O Yahweh? Who is, like unto thee, Majestic in holiness, —To be revered in praises, Doing a marvellous thing?

Τις όμοιός σου Κύριε, μεταξύ των θεών; Τις όμοιός σου, ένδοξος εις αγιότητα, θαυμαστός εις ύμνους, ενεργών τεράστια;

12 Thou didst stretch forth thy right hand, earth swallowed them up.

Εξέτεινας την δεξιάν σου, και η γη κατέπιεν αυτούς.

13 Thou hast led forth in thy lovingkindness, the people which thou hast redeemed, —Thou hast guided them in thy might into the home of thy holiness.

Με το έλεός σου ώδήγησας τον λαόν τούτον, τον οποίον ελύτρωσας· ώδήγησας αυτόν με την δύναμίν σου προς την κατοικίαν της αγιότητός σου.

14 Peoples have heard they tremble, —A pang, hath seized the dwellers of Philistia:

Οι λαοί θέλουσιν ακούσει και φρίξει· πόνοι θέλουσι κατακυριεύσει τους κατοίκους της Παλαιστίνης.

15 Then, were amazed the chiefs of Edom, The mighty ones of Moab, there seizeth them, a trembling, —Melted away, have all the dwellers of Canaan:

Τότε θέλουσιν εκπλαγή οι ηγεμόνες Εδώμ· τρόμος θέλει καταλάβει τους άρχοντας του Μωάβ· πάντες οι κάτοικοι της Χαναάν θέλουσιν αναλυθή.

16 There falleth upon them a terror and dread, With the greatness of thine arm, are they struck dumb as a stone, —Till thy people pass over O Yahweh, Till the people pass over, which thou hast made thine own: —

Φόβος και τρόμος θέλει επιπέσει επ' αυτούς· από του μεγέθους του βραχίονός σου θέλουσιν απολιθωθή, εωσού περάση ο λαός σου, Κύριε, εωσού περάση ο λαός ούτος, τον οποίον απέκτησας.

17 Thou bringest them in and plantest them, In the mountain of thine inheritance, Thy dwelling-place to abide in which thou hast made, O Yahweh, —A hallowed place O My Lord which thy hands have established.

Θέλεις εισαγάγει αυτούς και φυτεύσει αυτούς εις το όρος της κληρονομίας σου, τον τόπον, Κύριε, τον οποίον ητοίμασας διά κατοικίαν σου, το αγιαστήριον, Κύριε, το οποίον αι χείρες σου έστησαν.

18 Yahweh, shall reign unto times age-abiding and beyond.

Ο Κύριος θέλει βασιλεύει εις τους αιώνας των αιώνων.

19 For the horses of Pharaoh, with his chariots and his horsemen, entered into the sea, Then did Yahweh bring back upon them the waters of the sea, —But the sons of Israel, had gone their way on the dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Διότι εισήλθον οι ίπποι του Φαραώ εις την θάλασσαν μετά των αμαξών αυτού και μετά των ιππέων αυτού, και ο Κύριος έστρεψεν επ' αυτούς τα ύδατα της θαλάσσης· οι δε υιοί Ισραήλ επέρασαν διά ξηράς εν τω μέσω της θαλάσσης.

20 Then took Miriam the prophetess, sister of Aaron the timbrel in her hand, —and all the women came forth after her with timbrels and dances,

Μαριάμ δε η προφήτις, η αδελφή του Ααρών έλαβε το τύμπανον εν τη χειρί αυτής και πάσαι αι γυναίκες εξήλθον κατόπιν αυτής μετά τυμπάνων και χορών.

21 And Miriam responded to the men, Sing to Yahweh for he is exalted—exalted, The horse and his rider, hath he cast into the sea.

Και η Μαριάμ ανταπεκρίνετο προς αυτούς, λέγουσα, Ψάλλετε εις τον Κύριον· διότι εδοξάσθη ενδόξως· τον ίππον και τον αναβάτην αυτού έρριψεν εις θάλασσαν.

22 And Moses caused Israel to break up from the Red Sea, and they went out into the desert of Shur, —and journeyed three days in the desert and found no water;

Τότε εσήκωσεν ο Μωϋσής τους Ισραηλίτας από της Ερυθράς θαλάσσης, και εξήλθον εις την έρημον Σούρ· και περιεπάτουν τρεις ημέρας εν τη ερήμω και δεν εύρισκον ύδωρ.

23 and, when they came in towards Marah they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter, —for this cause, was the name thereof called Marah.

Και εκείθεν ήλθον εις Μερράν· δεν ηδύναντο όμως να πίωσιν εκ των υδάτων της Μερράς, διότι ήσαν πικρά· διά τούτο και επωνομάσθη Μερρά.

24 So the people murmured against Moses—saying, What are we to drink?

Και εγόγγυζεν ο λαός κατά του Μωϋσέως, λέγων, Τι θέλομεν πίει;

25 And he made outcry unto Yahweh, and Yahweh pointed out a tree, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters became sweet, —There, he appointed him a statute and regulation And, there, he put him to the proof.

Ο δε Μωϋσής εβόησε προς τον Κύριον· και έδειξεν εις αυτόν ο Κύριος ξύλον, το οποίον ότε έρριψεν εις τα ύδατα, τα ύδατα εγλυκάνθησαν. Εκεί έδωκεν εις αυτούς παραγγελίαν και διάταγμα, και εκεί εδοκίμασεν αυτούς·

26 And he said: If thou, wilt indeed hearken, to the voice of Yahweh thy God, And the thing that is right in his eyes, thou wilt do, And so give ear to his commandments, And keep all his statutes, None of the sicknesses which I laid on the Egyptians, will I lay upon thee, For, I, am Yahweh, thy physician.

και είπεν, Εάν ακούσης επιμελώς την φωνήν Κυρίου του Θεού σου και πράττης το αρεστόν εις τους οφθαλμούς αυτού και δώσης ακρόασιν εις τας εντολάς αυτού και φυλάξης πάντα τα προστάγματα αυτού, δεν θέλω φέρει επί σε ουδεμίαν εκ των νόσων, τας οποίας έφερα κατά των Αιγυπτίων· διότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος ο θεραπεύων σε.

27 Then came they in to Elim, and there, were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm-trees, —so they encamped there, by the waters.

Έπειτα ήλθον εις Αιλείμ, όπου ήσαν δώδεκα πηγαί υδάτων και εβδομήκοντα δένδρα φοινίκων· και εκεί εστρατοπέδευσαν πλησίον των υδάτων.
