Psalms 110

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD saith unto my lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Ein Psalm Davids. Der HERR sprach zu meinem HERRN: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde zum Schemel deiner Füße lege.

2 The LORD shall send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Der HERR wird das Zepter deines Reichs senden aus Zion. HERRSChe unter deinen Feinden!

3 Thy people offer themselves willingly in the day of thy power: in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Nach deinem Sieg wird dir dein Volk williglich opfern in heiligem, Schmuck. Deine Kinder werden dir geboren wie der Tau aus der Morgenröte.

4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Der HERR hat geschworen, und wird ihn nicht gereuen; Du bist ein Priester ewiglich nach der Weise Melchisedechs.

5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

Der HERR zu deiner Rechten wird zerschmeißen die Könige zur Zeit seines Zorns.

6 He shall judge among the nations, he shall fill [the places] with dead bodies; he shall strike through the head in many countries.

Er wird richten unter den Heiden; er wird große Schlacht tun; er wird zerschmeißen das Haupt über große Lande.

7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

Er wird trinken vom Bach auf dem Wege; darum wird er das Haupt emporheben.
