< Psalms 55 >

1 For the leader. With stringed instruments. A maskil of David. Listen, God, to my prayer. Don’t hide yourself from my pleading.
MAING Kot, kom kotin ereki ai kapakap, o kom der rirwei sang mon ai ngidingid.
2 Hear me, and answer; for bitter is my lament.
Kom kotin mangi ia o kotin sapeng ia. Pwe i kin sansalong sili o sangesangki,
3 I am wild with the noise of the foe, with the clamour of the ungodly; for they hurl disaster upon me, and attack me with fury.
Pwe ngil en ai imwintiti kin kainsensued ia o me doo sang Kot akan kin pakipaki ia; pwe re kin men wia sued ong ia, o re kin kailong kin ia.
4 My heart shudders within me, terrors of deaths press on me,
Mongiong i masapwekada nan kaped i, o masak en mela lel ong ia.
5 fear and trembling attack me, and horror wraps me round.
Masak o rerer lel dong ia; wapon kadupal ia di.
6 O for the wings of a dove: I would fly away and rest.
I ap indada: O ma pa i kat dueta pa en muroi, pwen pirwei o mi ekis wasa.
7 I would wander far away, find refuge in the wilderness. (Selah)
I ap pan pirla wasa doo, o kaukauson sap tan. (Sela)
8 I would find myself a shelter from raging wind and tempest.
I pan madanglang wasan moleilei mon melimel o katau.
9 Confuse them, Lord, upset their plans; for I see violence and strife in the city.
Maing Ieowa, kom kotin kawuk pasang lo arail, o kotin kasore ir ala, pwe i kilekilang, me toun kanim o kin weit o akamai pena.
10 By day and by night they make their rounds on the city walls, while within is crime and trouble,
Mepukat kin wiaui ni ran o ni pong pon arail kel takai, o a dir en apwal o dodok kan.
11 within is ruin. Her market-place is never free of deceit and tyranny.
Me sued akan kin kaunda kanim o; o tou a kan sota kin muei sang likam o kotaue.
12 The taunts were not those of a foe that I could have borne; the disdain was not that of an enemy I could have shunned them:
Ma ai imwintiti pan wia sued ong ia, i sota pan insenoki, o ma me kailong kin ia pan pei ong ia, i pan ruki sang mo a.
13 but it was you, my equal, my dear and familiar friend.
A koe, ai warok, o kompole pa i o kis ai.
14 We used to be so close, together we walked in God’s house with the crowd.
Pwe kitail minimin penaer nan pung atail. Kitail wiaki eu nan pung en pokon nan tanpas en Kot.
15 May death suddenly take them, may they go down to Sheol alive, for evil lives in their homes and their hearts. (Sheol h7585)
Mela en madang lel wong irail, pwe ren lokidokila nan wasan mela ni ar memaur; pwe im arail o lol arail me dir en morsued. (Sheol h7585)
16 But I will call on God, the Lord will save me.
A i pan likwir ong Kot, o Ieowa pan kotin sauasa ia.
17 Evening and morning and noon I lament and moan. He will hear my voice;
Nin sautik, o ni mansang, o nin sauas i pan sangesang o weriwer, a ap pan kotin mangi ngil ai.
18 though I am attacked by many he will rescue me, unharmed from the war.
A pan kotin dorela ngen i sang ren me men palian ia, o pan kotin kamoleilei ia; pwe ir me toto, me u ong ia.
19 God, who sits on his ancient throne will hear and will humble them, for they never change, they never fear God. (Selah)
Kot pan kotin ereki o kanamenok ir ala, pwe a kotikot eta sang tapin kaua. (Sela) Pwe re sota pan wukila, o re sota masak Kot.
20 My friend turned against me, betrayed his word.
A saikidi sapwilim a popol akan, o a kawela a inau.
21 His mouth was smoother than butter, but war filled his heart. His words were softer than oil, but sharper than swords.
Au a me kitentel sang wi, ap lamelame duen mauin, a lokaia me muterok sang le, ap rasong kodlas kong, me onopa dang pei.
22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never let the righteous be shaken.
Mueid ong Ieowa, me koe inong iong, a pan apwali uk ada, a sota pan kotin mueid ong me pung kan en wukiwuk sili.
23 But you, God, will hurl them down to the deepest pit. Bloody and treacherous people will not live out half their days; but I will trust you.
Maing Kot, kom pan kotin kase ir long ong nan por lol en me sued o; me inong iong nta o likam kan sota pan lel ong apali en maur arail. A i pan kaporoporeki komui.
