Mark 2
1 And after some days he again entered Capernaum; and it was reported that he was in the house.
Et étant, quelques jours après, rentré à Capharnaoum, on ouït dire: « Il est à la maison. »
2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room for them, even at the door; and he was speaking the word to them.
Et il se fit un nombreux rassemblement, en sorte que les environs de la porte n'y suffisaient même plus, et il leur annonçait la parole.
3 And they come to him, bringing one that was palsied, borne by four men.
Et des gens surviennent lui amenant un paralytique porté par quatre hommes;
4 And not being able to bring him to him on account of the crowd, they took off the roof where he was; and when they had broken an opening, they let down the bed whereon the palsied man lay.
et comme ils ne pouvaient, à cause de la foule, le transporter vers lui, ils découvrirent le toit, là où il était; et après avoir fait une ouverture, ils dévalent la couchette où le paralytique était couché.
5 And Jesus seeing their faith, saith to the palsied man, Son, thy sins are forgiven.
Et Jésus, ayant vu leur foi, dit au paralytique: « Mon enfant, tes péchés sont pardonnés. »
6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
Or il y avait là quelques scribes qui étaient assis et qui se disaient dans leurs cœurs:
7 Why doth this man speak thus? He blasphemeth; who can forgive sins but God only?
« En parlant ainsi, cet homme blasphème; qui est-ce qui peut pardonner les péchés, si ce n'est Dieu seul? »
8 And Jesus immediately perceiving in his spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, saith to them, Why do ye reason thus in your hearts?
Et aussitôt Jésus, ayant connu en son esprit ce qu'ils pensaient en eux-mêmes, leur dit: « Pourquoi pensez-vous ces choses-là dans vos cœurs?
9 Which is easier? to say to the palsied man, Thy sins are forgiven? or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed and go?
Quel est le plus facile, de dire au paralytique: Tes péchés sont pardonnés; ou de dire: Lève-toi, et prends ta couchette, et marche?
10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins, —he saith to the palsied man, —
Or, pour que vous sachiez que fils de l'homme a l'autorité de pardonner les péchés sur la terre… »
11 I say to thee, Arise, take up thy bed and go to thy house.
il dit au paralytique: « Je te le dis, lève-toi, prends ton lit, et va-t-en dans ta maison. »
12 And he arose, and immediately took up the bed and went forth before them all; so that they were all amazed, and gave glory to God, saying, We never saw it thus.
Et il se leva, et aussitôt ayant pris sa couchette il sortit en présence de tous, en sorte que tous étaient dans l'étonnement, et glorifiaient Dieu: « car jamais nous n'avons rien vu de semblable. »
13 And he went forth again to the lake; and all the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
Et il sortit de nouveau pour se rendre auprès de la mer, et toute la foule vint vers lui, et il les enseignait.
14 And passing along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the custom-house; and he saith to him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
Et en passant il vit Lévi fils d'Alphée assis au bureau des péages, et il lui dit: « Suis-moi. » Et s'étant levé il le suivit.
15 And it happened that he was reclining at table in his house; and many publicans and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and scribes of the Pharisees were also following him.
Et il advient qu'il se met à table dans sa maison; et beaucoup de publicains et de pécheurs s'attablaient avec Jésus et ses disciples; car ils étaient nombreux, et ils le suivaient.
16 And when they saw that he was eating with the publicans and sinners, they said to his disciples, Doth he eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
Et les scribes du parti des pharisiens, ayant vu qu'il mangeait avec les pécheurs et les publicains, disaient à ses disciples: « Eh quoi! il mange avec les publicains et les pécheurs! »
17 And Jesus hearing it, saith to them, They who are well do not need a physician, but they who are sick. I came not to call righteous men, but sinners.
Ce que Jésus ayant ouï, il leur dit: « Ce ne sont pas les valides qui ont besoin du médecin, mais les mal portants; je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs. »
18 And the disciples of John and the Pharisees were fasting; and they come and say to him, Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, and thy disciples fast not?
Et les disciples de Jean et les pharisiens jeûnaient. Et ils viennent et ils lui disent: « Pourquoi les disciples de Jean et les disciples des pharisiens jeûnent-ils, tandis que les tiens ne jeûnent point. »
19 And Jesus said to them, Can the companions of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
Et Jésus leur dit: « Est-ce que les fils de la chambre nuptiale pendant que l'époux est avec eux peuvent jeûner? Tant qu'ils ont l'époux avec eux, ils ne peuvent pas jeûner;
20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then will they fast in that day.
mais des jours viendront où l'époux leur sera enlevé, et alors ils jeûneront en ce jour-là.
21 No one seweth a patch of undressed cloth on an old garment; for the new piece teareth away from the old garment, and a worse rent is made.
Personne ne coud une pièce d'étoffe écrue à un vieil habit; autrement le rapiécetage neuf du vieux s'emporte lui-même, et il en résulte une déchirure pire.
22 And no one putteth new wine into old skins; for the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and the skins.
Et personne ne met du vin nouveau dans des outres vieilles; autrement le vin rompra les outres, et le vin est perdu ainsi que les outres; mais on met du vin nouveau dans des outres neuves. »
23 And it came to pass, that he was going through the grain-fields on the sabbath, and his disciples began, as they went along, to pluck the ears of grain.
Et il advint que le jour du sabbat il traversait les champs de blé, et ses disciples se mirent, tout en marchant, à arracher les épis.
24 And the Pharisees said to him, See, why are they doing on the sabbath that which is not lawful?
Et les pharisiens lui disaient: « Regarde! pourquoi font-ils le jour du sabbat ce qui n'est pas permis? »
25 And he saith to them, Did ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, himself and they who were with him?
Et il leur disait: « N'avez-vous jamais lu ce que fit David, quand il sentit le besoin, et qu'il eut faim, lui et ceux qui étaient avec lui?
26 how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high-priest, and ate the show-bread, which it is lawful for none but the priests to eat, and gave also to those who were with him?
Il entra dans la maison de Dieu, du temps du grand prêtre Abiathar, et il mangea les pains de proposition, qu'il n'est pas permis de manger, sauf aux prêtres, et il en donna aussi à ceux qui étaient avec lui. »
27 And he said to them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.
Et il leur disait: « Le sabbat a été fait pour l'homme, et non pas l'homme pour le sabbat;
28 So that the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath.
en sorte que le fils de l'homme est maître, même du sabbat. »
