Philemon 1
1 Paul, a prisoner of Messiah Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,
ⲁ̅ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲏⲣ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲡⲥⲟⲛ ⲉⲩⲥϩⲁⲓ̈ ⲙ̅ⲫⲓⲗⲏⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲛϣⲃⲣ̅ⲣ̅ϩⲱⲃ
2 and to Apphia our sister, to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:
ⲃ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲁⲙⲫⲓⲁ ⲧⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲙⲛ̅ⲁⲣⲭⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲛϣⲃⲣ̅ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ̈. ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲟⲟⲩϩⲥ̅ ⲉⲧϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲏⲓ̈.
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah.
ⲅ̅ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅·
4 I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
ⲇ̅ϯϣⲡ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ϣ ⲛⲓⲙ. ⲉⲓ̈ⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲁϣⲗⲏⲗ
5 hearing of your love, and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;
ⲉ̅ⲉⲓ̈ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲕⲥ̅ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
6 that the fellowship of your faith may become effective, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you in Messiah.
ⲋ̅ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲉⲛⲉⲣⲅⲓ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅·
7 For I have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
ⲍ̅ⲁⲓ̈ⲣ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲗⲥⲗ̅ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ. ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲉⲥⲡⲗⲁⲅⲭⲛⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲙ̅ⲧⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ̅ ⲡⲥⲟⲛ.
8 Therefore, though I have all boldness in Messiah to command you that which is appropriate,
ⲏ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲣϩⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣϣⲉ
9 yet on the basis of love I rather appeal, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Messiah Jesus.
ⲑ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ. ⲉⲓ̈ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ. ⲉⲓ̈ⲟ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ϩⲱⲥ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲛⲟϭ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲏⲣ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅.
10 I appeal to you for my child, whom I have become the father of in my chains, Onesimus,
ⲓ̅ϯⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲕ ϩⲁⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ. ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓ̈ϫⲡⲟϥ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲙⲣ̅ⲣⲉ. ⲟⲛⲏⲥⲓⲙⲟⲥ.
11 who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲟ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛ̅ⲁⲧϣⲁⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ. ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϣⲁⲩ. ⲁⲓ̈ⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲕ.
12 I am sending back to you, him who is my very heart,
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ϣⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲥⲡⲗⲁⲅⲭⲛⲟⲛ.
13 whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the gospel.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϩⲁⲧⲏⲓ̈. ϫⲉⲕⲁⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϣⲙ̅ϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲙⲁ ϩⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲙⲣ̅ⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ.
14 But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁϫⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲅⲛⲱⲙⲏ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲡⲉⲕⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲟⲩϩⲧⲟⲣ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϩⲛⲁⲕ.
15 For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while, that you would have him forever, (aiōnios g166)
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲙⲉϣⲁⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲕ. ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲕⲉϫⲓⲧϥ̅ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ. (aiōnios g166)
16 no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ϩⲱⲥ ϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲁⲛ ϭⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲁϥ ⲉϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ. ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ. ⲉⲓ̈ⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲣ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ.
17 If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ϯϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛ̅ⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲟⲥ ϣⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϩⲉ.
18 But if he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, put that to my account.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲉϣϫⲉⲁϥϫⲓⲧⲕ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲛⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ. ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲕ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ̈.
19 I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲓ̈ⲥϩⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϭⲓϫ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲧⲟⲩⲉⲓⲟ ⲛⲁⲕ. ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲕⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲧ ϩⲱⲱⲕ ⲛ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ.
20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Messiah.
ⲕ̅ⲁⲓ̈ⲟ ⲡⲥⲟⲛ ⲉⲓ̈ⲉⲙ̅ⲧⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲕ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲓ̈ⲥ. ϯⲙ̅ⲧⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲥⲡⲗⲁⲅⲭⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
21 Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲉⲓ̈ⲕⲱ ⲛ̅ϩⲧⲏⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲧⲙⲏⲧ ⲁⲓ̈ⲥϩⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲁⲕ. ⲉⲓ̈ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲕⲛⲁⲣ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲡⲉϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ.
22 Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ϩⲁⲙⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲅ̅ⲥⲟⲃⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ. ϯϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁⲧ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲗⲏⲗ.
23 Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Messiah Jesus, greets you,
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲉⲡⲁⲫⲣⲁ ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲡⲁϣⲃⲣ̅ⲁⲓⲭⲙⲁⲗⲱⲧⲟⲥ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅.
24 as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲙⲁⲣⲕⲟⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲣⲓⲥⲧⲁⲣⲭⲟⲥ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲇⲏⲙⲁⲥ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲟⲩⲕⲁⲥ ⲛⲁϣⲃⲣ̅ⲣ̅ϩⲱⲃ.
25 The grace of the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah be with your spirit.
