Matthew 28
1 At the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came down to see the sepulcher, when lo!
Şabat Günü'nü izleyen haftanın ilk günü, tan yeri ağarırken, Mecdelli Meryem ile öbür Meryem mezarı görmeye gittiler.
2 There had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord had come down from heaven, and gone and rolled away the stone, and was sitting upon it.
Ansızın büyük bir deprem oldu. Rab'bin bir meleği gökten indi ve mezara gidip taşı bir yana yuvarlayarak üzerine oturdu.
3 His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
Görünüşü şimşek gibi, giysileri ise kar gibi bembeyazdı.
4 The guards trembled for fear of him, and became like dead men.
Nöbetçiler korkudan titremeye başladılar, sonra ölü gibi yere yıkıldılar.
5 But to the women the angel said. "You need have no fear, for I know that you are seeking Jesus, the Crucified One.
Melek kadınlara şöyle seslendi: “Korkmayın! Çarmıha gerilen İsa'yı aradığınızı biliyorum.
6 He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Master was lying!
O burada yok; söylemiş olduğu gibi dirildi. Gelin, O'nun yattığı yeri görün.
7 And go quickly and tell his disciples. ‘He is risen from the dead; he goes before you into Galilee; you will see him there.’ Remember, I have told you."
Çabuk gidin, öğrencilerine şöyle deyin: ‘İsa ölümden dirildi. Sizden önce Celile'ye gidiyor, kendisini orada göreceksiniz.’ İşte ben size söylemiş bulunuyorum.”
8 On this they ran quickly from the sepulcher, in fear and great joy, to tell the news to his disciples.
Kadınlar korku ve büyük sevinç içinde hemen mezardan uzaklaştılar; koşarak İsa'nın öğrencilerine haber vermeye gittiler.
9 And behold! Jesus himself met them, saying, "All hail!" And they went up to him and clasped his feet and worshiped him.
İsa ansızın karşılarına çıktı, “Selam!” dedi. Yaklaşıp İsa'nın ayaklarına sarılarak O'na tapındılar.
10 Then Jesus said to them. "Fear not! Go tell my brothers to depart into Galilee, and they will see men there."
O zaman İsa, “Korkmayın!” dedi. “Gidip kardeşlerime haber verin, Celile'ye gitsinler, beni orada görecekler.”
11 Now while they were on their way, some of the guard went into the city and told the high priest all that had happened.
Kadınlar daha yoldayken nöbetçi askerlerden bazıları kente giderek olup bitenleri başkâhinlere bildirdiler.
12 And when they had met with the elders and conferred together, they heavily bribed the soldiers and told them to say,
Başkâhinler ileri gelenlerle birlikte toplanıp birbirlerine danıştıktan sonra askerlere yüklü para vererek dediler ki, “Siz şöyle diyeceksiniz: ‘Öğrencileri geceleyin geldi, biz uyurken O'nun cesedini çalıp götürdüler.’
13 "His disciples came by night and stole him away, while we were asleep."
14 "If this should reach the Governor’s ears," they said, "we will satisfy him and screen you from punishment."
Eğer bu haber valinin kulağına gidecek olursa biz onu yatıştırır, size bir zarar gelmesini önleriz.”
15 So the soldiers took the money, and did as they were told; and this story has been noised abroad among the Jews, and continues to this day.
Böylece askerler parayı aldılar ve kendilerine söylendiği gibi yaptılar. Bu söylenti Yahudiler arasında bugün de yaygındır.
16 But the eleven disciples went away to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
On bir öğrenci Celile'ye, İsa'nın kendilerine bildirdiği dağa gittiler.
17 And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted.
İsa'yı gördükleri zaman O'na tapındılar. Ama bazıları kuşku içindeydi.
18 And Jesus came forward to them and spoke to them, saying. "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
İsa yanlarına gelip kendilerine şunları söyledi: “Gökte ve yeryüzünde bütün yetki bana verildi.
19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
Bu nedenle gidin, bütün ulusları öğrencilerim olarak yetiştirin; onları Baba, Oğul ve Kutsal Ruh'un adıyla vaftiz edin;
