Psalms 24

1 “Of David a psalm.” Unto the Lord belongeth the earth with what filleth it, the world and they that dwell therein;

Do Senhor é a terra e a sua plenitude, o mundo e aqueles que nele habitam.

2 For upon seas hath he founded it, and upon rivers hath he established it.

Porque ele a fundou sobre os mares, e a firmou sobre os rios.

3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? and who shall be able to stand in his holy place?

Quem subirá ao monte do Senhor, ou quem estará no seu lugar santo?

4 He that is of clean hands, and pure of heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, and hath not sworn deceitfully:

Aquele que é limpo de mãos e puro de coração, que não entrega a sua alma à vaidade, nem jura enganosamente,

5 He shall bear away blessing from the Lord, and [the reward of] righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Este receberá a benção do Senhor e a justiça do Deus da sua salvação.

6 This is the generation of those that adore him, that seek thy presence, [the sons of] Jacob. (Selah)

Esta é a geração daqueles que buscam, daqueles que buscam a tua face, ó Deus de Jacob (Selah)

7 Raise your heads, O ye gates; and be raised wide, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

Levantai, ó portas, as vossas cabeças; levantai-vos ó entradas eternas, e entrará o Rei da glória.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Quem é este Rei da glória? O Senhor forte e poderoso, o Senhor poderoso na guerra.

9 Raise your heads, O ye gates; and raise [them] up, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

Levantai, ó portas, as vossas cabeças, levantai-vos ó entradas eternas, e entrará o Rei da glória.

10 Who is then this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)

Quem é este Rei da glória? O Senhor dos exércitos, ele é o Rei da glória (Selah)
