1 Chronicles 15
1 And [David] made himself houses in the city of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
Fez também casa para si na cidade de David; e preparou um lugar para a arca de Deus, e armou-lhe uma tenda.
2 Then said David, None shall carry the ark of God but the Levites; for of them hath the Lord made choice to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
Então disse David: ninguém pode levar a arca de Deus, senão os levitas; porque o Senhor os elegeu, para levar a arca de Deus, e para o servirem eternamente.
3 And David assembled all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto its place, which he had prepared for it.
E David ajuntou a todo o Israel em Jerusalém, para fazerem subir a arca do Senhor ao seu lugar, que lhe tinha preparado.
4 And David gathered together the children of Aaron, and the Levites.
E David ajuntou os filhos de Aarão e os levitas.
5 Of the sons of Kehath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twenty.
Dos filhos de Kohath: Uriel, o príncipe, e de seus irmãos cento e vinte.
6 Of the sons of Merari: 'Assayah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.
Dos filhos de Merari: Asaias, o príncipe, e de seus irmãos duzentos e vinte.
7 Of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and thirty.
Dos filhos de Gersom: Joel, o príncipe, e de seus irmãos cento e trinta.
8 Of the sons of Elizaphan: Shema'yah the chief, and his brethren two hundred.
Dos filhos de Elisaphan: Semaias o príncipe, e de seus irmãos duzentos.
9 Of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren eighty.
Dos filhos de Hebron: Eliel, o príncipe, e de seus irmãos oitenta.
10 Of the sons of 'Uzziel: 'Amminadab the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twelve.
Dos filhos de Uziel: Amminadab, o príncipe, e de seus irmãos cento e doze.
11 And David called for Zadok and Ebyathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, 'Assayah, and Joel, Shema'yah, and Eliel, and 'Amminadab,
E chamou David os sacerdotes Zadok e Abiathar, e os levitas, Uriel, Asaias, Joel, Semaias, Eliel, e Amminadab;
12 And he said unto them, Ye are the chiefs of the family divisions of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel unto [the place which] I have prepared for it.
E disse-lhes: Vós sois os chefes dos pais entre os levitas: santificai-vos, vós e vossos irmãos, para que façais subir a arca do Senhor, Deus de Israel, ao lugar que lhe tenho preparado.
13 For, because ye [did] it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among us; because we had not sought him after the prescribed manner.
Pois que, porquanto primeiro vós assim o não fizestes, o Senhor fez rotura em nós, porque o não buscamos segundo a ordenança.
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel.
Santificaram-se pois os sacerdotes e levitas, para fazerem subir a arca do Senhor Deus de Israel.
15 And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord, on their shoulders, by means of barrows placed upon them.
E os filhos dos levitas trouxeram a arca de Deus aos ombros, como Moisés tinha ordenado, conforme a palavra do Senhor, com as varas que tinham sobre si.
16 And David said to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, to sing aloud, by lifting up the voice for joy.
E disse David aos príncipes dos levitas que constituíssem a seus irmãos, os cantores, com instrumentos músicos, com alaúdes, harpas e címbalos, para que se fizessem ouvir, levantando a voz com alegria.
17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel, and of his brethren, Assaph the son of Berechyahu, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushayahu;
Ordenaram pois os levitas a Heman, filho de Joel; e dos seus irmãos, a Asaph, filho de Berechias, e dos filhos de Merari, seus irmãos, a Ethan, filho de Kusaias.
18 And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zecharyahu, Ben, and Ja'aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and 'Unni, Eliab, and Benayahu, and Ma'asseyahu, and Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and 'Obed-edom, and Je'iel, the gatekeepers.
E com eles a seus irmãos da segunda ordem: a Zacarias, Ben, e Jaaziel, e Semiramoth, e Jehiel, e Uni, Eliab, e Benaias, e Maaseias, e Mattithias, e Eliphelehu, e Mikneias, e Obed-edom, e Jeiel, os porteiros.
19 Namely, the singers, Heman, Assaph, and Ethan, to play aloud with cymbals of copper;
E os cantores, Heman, Asaph e Ethan, se faziam ouvir com címbalos de metal;
20 And Zechariah, and 'Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and 'Unni, and Eliab, and Ma'asseyahu, and Benayahu, with psalteries on 'Alamoth;
E Zacarias, e Aziel, e Semiramoth, e Jehiel, e Uni, e Eliab, e Maaseias, e Benaias, com alaúdes, sobre Alamoth:
21 And Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and 'Obed-edom, and Je-iel, and 'Azazyahu, with harps on the Sheminith to play as leaders.
E Mattithias e Eliphelehu, e Mikneias, e Obed-edom, e Jeiel, e Azazias, com harpas, sobre Seminith, para esforçar o tom.
22 And Kenanyahu was the chief of the Levites in conducting the singing: he instructed in conducting the singing, because he was skilful.
E Chenanias, príncipe dos levitas, tinha cargo de entoar o canto; ensinava-os a entoa-lo, porque era entendido.
23 And Berechyah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.
E Berechias e Elkana eram porteiros da arca.
24 And Shebanyahu, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and 'Amassai, and Zecharyahu, and Benayahu, and Eli'ezer, the priests, did blow on the trumpets before the ark of God; and 'Obed-edom and Jechiyah were gatekeepers for the ark.
E Sebanias, e Josaphat, e Nethaneel, e Amasai, e Zacarias, e Benaias, e Eliezer, os sacerdotes, tocavam as trombetas perante a arca de Deus: e Obed-edom e Jehias eram porteiros da arca.
25 And it was David, with the elders of Israel, and the officers over the thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of 'Obed-edom with joy.
Sucedeu pois que David e os anciãos de Israel, e os capitães dos milhares, foram para fazer subir a arca do concerto do Senhor, da casa de Obed-edom, com alegria.
26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
E sucedeu que, ajudando Deus os levitas que levavam a arca do concerto do Senhor, sacrificaram sete novilhos e sete carneiros.
27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and [so were] all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Kenanyahu the chief in conducting the singing of the singers; but David had also upon him an ephod of linen.
E David ia vestido de um roupão de linho fino, como também todos os levitas que levavam a arca, e os cantores, e Chenanias, chefe dos que levavam a arca e dos cantores; também David levava sobre si um éfode de linho.
28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, playing aloud on psalteries and harps.
E todo o Israel fez subir a arca do concerto do Senhor, com júbilo, e com sonido de buzinas, e com trombetas, e com címbalos, fazendo sonido com alaúdes e com harpas.
29 And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came as far as the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
E sucedeu que, chegando a arca do concerto do Senhor à cidade de David, Michal, a filha de Saul, olhou de uma janela, e, vendo a David dançar e tocar, o desprezou no seu coração.
