Psalms 72

1 For Solomon. O God, give your judgment to the king, and your righteousness to the king's son;

Para Salomón. Oh Dios, entrega al Rey tu juicio, y tu justicia al Hijo del Rey;

2 [that he may] judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with judgment.

para que Él gobierne a tu pueblo con justicia, y a los humildes tuyos con equidad.

3 Let the mountains and the hills raise peace to your people:

Los montes traerán al pueblo la paz; y los collados, la justicia.

4 he shall judge the poor of the people in righteousness, and save the children of the needy; and shall bring low the false accuser.

Él defenderá a los humildes del pueblo, Él salvará a los hijos de los pobres, y aplastará al opresor.

5 And he shall continue as long as the sun, and before the moon for ever.

Permanecerá como el sol, y como la luna, de generación en generación.

6 He shall come down as rain upon a fleece; and as drops falling upon the earth.

Descenderá, como lluvia, sobre el prado segado, como las aguas que riegan la tierra.

7 In his days shall righteousness spring up; and abundance of peace till the moon be removed.

En sus días florecerá la justicia, y abundará la paz mientras dure la luna.

8 And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.

Y Él dominará de mar a mar, y desde el Río hasta los confines de la tierra.

9 The Ethiopians shall fall down before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

Ante Él se prosternarán sus enemigos, y sus adversarios lamerán el polvo.

10 The kings of Tharsis, and the isles, shall bring presents: the kings of the Arabians and Saba shall offer gifts.

Los reyes de Tarsis y de las islas le ofrecerán tributos; los reyes de Arabia y de Sabá le traerán presentes.

11 And all kings shall worship him; all the Gentiles shall serve him.

Y lo adorarán los reyes todos de la tierra; todas las naciones le servirán.

12 For he has delivered the poor from the oppressor; and the needy who had no helper.

Pues Él librará al que clama desvalido, y al mísero que no tiene amparo.

13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall deliver the souls of the needy.

Se compadecerá del necesitado y del pobre, y a los indigentes salvará la vida,

14 He shall redeem their souls from usury and injustice: and their name [shall be] precious before him.

los libertará del daño y de la opresión, y la sangre de ellos será preciosa a sus ojos.

15 And he shall live, and there shall be given him of the gold of Arabia: and [men] shall pray for him continually; [and] all the day shall they praise him.

Por eso vivirá; y le darán del oro de Arabia, orarán siempre a causa de Él; sin cesar le bendecirán.

16 There shall be an establishment on the earth on the tops of the mountains: the fruit thereof shall be exalted above Libanus, and they of the city shall flourish as grass of the earth.

Habrá abundancia de trigo en la tierra; en las cumbres de los montes ondeará su fruto como el Líbano; y florecerán los habitantes de las ciudades como la grama del campo.

17 Let his name be blessed for ever: his name shall endure longer than the sun: and all the tribes of the earth shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

Su nombre será para siempre bendito, mientras dure el sol permanecerá el nombre suyo; y serán benditas en Él todas las tribus de la tierra; todas las naciones lo proclamarán bienaventurado.

18 Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, who alone does wonders.

Bendito sea Yahvé, Dios de Israel, único que hace maravillas;

19 And blessed is his glorious name for ever, even for ever and ever: and all the earth shall be filled with his glory. So be it, so be it.

y bendito sea por siempre su glorioso Nombre; llénese de su gloria toda la tierra. ¡Así sea; así sea!
