Psalms 57
1 For the end. Destroy not: by David, for a memorial, when he fled from the presence of Saul to the cave. Have mercy, upon me, O God, have mercy upon me: for my soul has trusted in you: and in the shadow of your wings will I hope, until the iniquity have passed away.
Przewodnikowi chóru. Al taszchet. Miktam Dawida, kiedy uciekał przed Saulem do jaskini. Zmiłuj się nade mną, Boże, zmiłuj się nade mną, bo moja dusza ufa tobie; w cieniu twoich skrzydeł będę się chronił, aż przeminie nieszczęście.
2 I will cry to God most high; the God who has benefited me. (Pause)
Będę wołał do Boga Najwyższego, do Boga, który doprowadzi moją sprawę do końca.
3 He sent from heaven and saved me; he gave to reproach them that trampled on me: God has sent forth his mercy and his truth;
On ześle [pomoc] z nieba i wybawi mnie [od] urągania tego, który chce mnie pochłonąć. (Sela) Ześle mi Bóg swoje miłosierdzie i prawdę.
4 and he has delivered my soul from the midst of [lions']whelps: I lay down to sleep, [though] troubled. [As for] the sons of men, their teeth are arms and [missile] weapons, and their tongue a sharp sword.
Moja dusza przebywa wśród lwów; leżę [wśród] płonących, [wśród] synów ludzkich, których zęby [są] jak włócznie i strzały, a język jak miecz ostry.
5 Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; and your glory above all the earth.
Bądź wywyższony, Boże, ponad niebiosa, [a] twoja chwała ponad całą ziemię.
6 They have prepared snares for my feet, and have bowed down my soul: they have dug a pit before my face, and fallen into it [themselves]. (Pause)
Zastawili sidła na moje kroki, zgnębili moją duszę, wykopali przede mną dół, ale sami do niego wpadli. (Sela)
7 My heart, O God, [is] ready, my heart [is] ready: I will sing, yes will sing psalms.
Gotowe [jest] moje serce, Boże, gotowe [jest] moje serce; będę śpiewał i oddawał chwałę.
8 Awake, my glory; awake, lute and harp: I will awake early.
Obudź się, moja chwało, obudź się, cytro i harfo; ja się zbudzę o świcie.
9 O Lord, I will give thanks to you among the nations: I will sing to you among the Gentiles.
Będę cię wysławiał wśród ludu, Panie, będę ci śpiewał wśród narodów.
10 For your mercy has been magnified even to the heavens, and your truth to the clouds.
Bo wielkie jest twoje miłosierdzie, aż do niebios, i aż pod obłoki twoja prawda.
11 Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; and your glory above all the earth.
Bądź wywyższony ponad niebiosa, Boże, a ponad całą ziemię twoja chwała.
