Mark 15
1 And immediately in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
Inmediatamente, a la madrugada, los sumos sacerdotes tuvieron consejo con los ancianos, los escribas y todo el Sanhedrín, y después de atar a Jesús, lo llevaron y entregaron a Pilato.
2 And Pilate asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, You say it.
Pilato lo interrogó: “¿Eres Tú el rey de los judíos?” Él respondió y dijo: “Tú lo dices”.
3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
Como los sumos sacerdotes lo acusasen de muchas cosas,
4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answer you nothing? behold how many things they witness against you.
Pilato, de nuevo, lo interrogó diciendo: “¿Nada respondes? Mira de cuántas cosas te acusan”.
5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
Pero Jesús no respondió nada más, de suerte que Pilato estaba maravillado.
6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
Mas en cada fiesta les ponía en libertad a uno de los presos, al que pedían.
7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
Y estaba el llamado Barrabás, preso entre los sublevados que, en la sedición, habían cometido un homicidio.
8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
Por lo cual la multitud subió y empezó a pedirle lo que él tenía costumbre de concederles.
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will all of you that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
Pilato les respondió y dijo: “¿Queréis que os suelte al rey de los judíos?”
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
Él sabía, en efecto, que los sumos sacerdotes lo habían entregado por envidia.
11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
Mas los sumos sacerdotes incitaron a la plebe para conseguir que soltase más bien a Barrabás.
12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will all of you then that I shall do unto him whom all of you call the King of the Jews?
Entonces, Pilato volvió a tomar la palabra y les dijo: “¿Qué decís pues que haga al rey de los judíos?”
13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
Y ellos, gritaron: “¡Crucifícalo!”
14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil has he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
Díjoles Pilato: “Pues, ¿qué mal ha hecho?” Y ellos gritaron todavía más fuerte: “¡Crucifícalo!”
15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
Entonces Pilato, queriendo satisfacer a la turba, les dejó en libertad a Barrabás; y después de haber hecho flagelar a Jesús, lo entregó para ser crucificado.
16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
Los soldados, pues, lo condujeron al interior del palacio, es decir, al pretorio, y llamaron a toda la cohorte.
17 And they clothed him with purple, and intertwined a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
Lo vistieron de púrpura, y habiendo trenzado una corona de espinas, se la ciñeron.
18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
Y se pusieron a saludarlo: “¡Salve, rey de los judíos”.
19 And they stroke him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
Y le golpeaban la cabeza con una caña, y lo escupían, y le hacían reverencia doblando la rodilla.
20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.
Y después que se burlaron de Él, le quitaron la púrpura, le volvieron a poner sus vestidos, y se lo llevaron para crucificarlo.
21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
Requisaron a un hombre que pasaba por allí, volviendo del campo, Simón Cireneo, el padre de Alejandro y de Rufo, para que llevase la cruz de Él.
22 And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.
Lo condujeron al lugar llamado Gólgota, que se traduce: “Lugar del Cráneo”.
23 And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
Y le ofrecieron vino mezclado con mirra, pero Él no lo tomó.
24 And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
Y lo crucificaron, y se repartieron sus vestidos, sorteando entre ellos la parte de cada cual.
25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
Era la hora de tercia cuando lo crucificaron.
26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Y en el epígrafe de su causa estaba escrito: “El rey de los judíos”.
27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
Y con Él crucificaron a dos bandidos, uno a la derecha, y el otro a la izquierda de Él.
28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which says, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
Así se cumplió la Escritura que dice: “Y fue contado entre los malhechores”.
29 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you that destroys the temple, and build it in three days,
Y los que pasaban, blasfemaban de Él meneando sus cabezas y diciendo: “¡Bah, Él que destruía el Templo, y lo reedificaba en tres días!
30 Save yourself, and come down from the cross.
¡Sálvate a Ti mismo, bajando de la cruz!”
31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
Igualmente los sumos sacerdotes escarneciéndole, se decían unos a otros con los escribas: “¡Salvó a otros, y no puede salvarse a sí mismo!
32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
¡El Cristo, el rey de Israel, baje ahora de la cruz para que veamos y creamos!” Y los que estaban crucificados con Él, lo injuriaban también.
33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
Y cuando fue la hora sexta, hubo tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora nona.
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Y a la hora nona, Jesús gritó con una voz fuerte: “Eloí, Eloí, ¿lama sabacthani?”, lo que es interpretado: “Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado?”.
35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calls Elijah.
Oyendo esto, algunos de los presentes dijeron: “¡He ahí que llama a Elías!”
36 And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.
Y uno de ellos corrió entonces a empapar con vinagre una esponja, y atándola a una caña, le ofreció de beber, y decía: “Vamos a ver si viene Elías a bajarlo”.
37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the spirit.
Mas Jesús, dando una gran voz, expiró.
38 And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.
Entonces, el velo del Templo se rasgó en dos partes, de alto a bajo.
39 And when the centurion, which stood opposite to him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the spirit, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
El centurión, apostado enfrente de Él, viéndolo expirar de este modo, dijo: “¡Verdaderamente este hombre era Hijo de Dios!”.
40 There were also women looking on far off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
Había también allí unas mujeres mirando desde lejos, entre las cuales también María la Magdalena, y María la madre de Santiago el Menor y de José, y Salomé,
41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him; ) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
las cuales cuando estaban en Galilea, lo seguían y lo servían, y otras muchas que habían subido con Él a Jerusalén.
42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
Llegada ya la tarde, como era día de Preparación, es decir, víspera del día sábado,
43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
vino José, el de Arimatea, noble consejero, el cual también estaba esperando el reino de Dios. Este se atrevió a ir a Pilato, y le pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.
44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
Pilato, se extrañó de que estuviera muerto; hizo venir al centurión y le preguntó si había muerto ya.
45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
Informado por el centurión, dio el cuerpo a José;
46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a tomb which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the tomb.
el cual habiendo comprado una sábana, lo bajó, lo envolvió en el sudario, lo depositó en un sepulcro tallado en la roca, y arrimó una loza a la puerta del sepulcro.
47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
Entre tanto, María la Magdalena y María la de José observaron dónde era sepultado.
