Mark 14
1 After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
Dos días después era la Pascua y los Ázimos, y los sumos sacerdotes y los escribas, buscaban cómo podrían apoderarse de Él con engaño y matarlo.
2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
Mas decían: “No durante la fiesta, no sea que ocurra algún tumulto en el pueblo”.
3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at food, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
Ahora bien, hallándose Él en Betania, en casa de Simón, el Leproso, y estando sentado a la mesa, vino una mujer con un vaso de alabastro lleno de ungüento de nardo puro de gran precio; y quebrando el alabastro, derramó el ungüento sobre su cabeza.
4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
Mas algunos de los presentes indignados interiormente, decían: “¿A qué este despilfarro de ungüento?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
Porque el ungüento este se podía vender por más de trescientos denarios, y dárselos a los pobres”. Y bramaban contra ella.
6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble all of you her? she has wrought a good work on me.
Mas Jesús dijo: “Dejadla. ¿Por qué la molestáis? Ha hecho una buena obra conmigo.
7 For all of you have the poor with you always, and whenever all of you will all of you may do them good: but me all of you have not always.
Porque los pobres los tenéis con vosotros siempre, y podéis hacerles bien cuando queráis; pero a Mí no me tenéis siempre.
8 She has done what she could: she has come beforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
Lo que ella podía hacer lo ha hecho. Se adelantó a ungir mi cuerpo para la sepultura.
9 Verily I say unto you, Where ever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
En verdad, os digo, dondequiera que fuere predicado este Evangelio, en el mundo entero, se narrará también lo que acaba de hacer, en recuerdo suyo”.
10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.
Entonces, Judas Iscariote, que era de los Doce, fue a los sumos sacerdotes, con el fin de entregarlo a ellos.
11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
Los cuales al oírlo se llenaron de alegría y prometieron darle dinero. Y él buscaba una ocasión favorable para entregarlo.
12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where will you that we go and prepare that you may eat the passover?
El primer día de los Azimos, cuando se inmolaba la Pascua, sus discípulos le dijeron: “¿Adónde quieres que vayamos a hacer los preparativos para que comas la Pascua?”
13 And he sends forth two of his disciples, and says unto them, Go all of you into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
Y envió a dos de ellos, diciéndoles: “Id a la ciudad, y os saldrá al encuentro un hombre llevando un cántaro de agua; seguidle,
14 And where ever he shall go in, say all of you to the goodman of the house, The Master says, Where is the guest room, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
y adonde entrare, decid al dueño de casa: “El Maestro dice: ¿Dónde está mi aposento en que voy a comer la Pascua con mis discípulos?”.
15 And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
Y él os mostrará un cenáculo grande en el piso alto, ya dispuesto; y allí aderezad para nosotros”.
16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
Los discípulos se marcharon, y al llegar a la ciudad encontraron como Él había dicho; y prepararon la Pascua.
17 And in the evening he comes with the twelve.
Venida la tarde, fue Él con los Doce.
18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eats with me shall betray me.
Y mientras estaban en la mesa y comían, Jesús dijo: “En verdad os digo, me entregará uno de vosotros que come conmigo”.
19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
Pero ellos comenzaron a contristarse, y a preguntarle uno por uno: “¿Seré yo?”
20 And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dips with me in the dish.
Respondioles: “Uno de los Doce, el que moja conmigo en el plato.
21 The Son of man indeed goes, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
El Hijo del hombre se va, como está escrito de Él, pero ¡ay del hombre, por quien el Hijo del hombre es entregado! Más le valdría a ese hombre no haber nacido”.
22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
Y mientras ellos comían, tomó pan, y habiendo bendecido, partió y dio a ellos y dijo: “Tomad, este es el cuerpo mío”.
23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
Tomó luego un cáliz, y después de haber dado gracias dio a ellos; y bebieron de él todos.
24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
Y les dijo: “Esta es la sangre mía de la Alianza, que se derrama por muchos.
25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
En verdad, os digo, que no beberé ya del fruto de la vid hasta el día aquel en que lo beberé nuevo en el reino de Dios”.
26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Y después de cantar el himno, salieron para el monte de los olivos.
27 And Jesus says unto them, All you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
Entonces Jesús les dijo: “Vosotros todos os vais a escandalizar, porque está escrito: «Heriré al pastor, y las ovejas se dispersarán».
28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
Mas después que Yo haya resucitado, os precederé en Galilea”.
29 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
Díjole Pedro: “Aunque todos se escandalizaren, yo no”.
30 And Jesus says unto him, Verily I say unto you, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, you shall deny me three times.
Y le dijo Jesús: “En verdad, te digo: que hoy, esta misma noche, antes que el gallo cante dos veces, tú me negarás tres”.
31 But he spoke the more vehemently, If I should die with you, I will not deny you in any way. Likewise also said they all.
Pero él decía con mayor insistencia: “¡Aunque deba morir contigo, jamás te negaré!” Esto mismo dijeron también todos.
32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he says to his disciples, Sit all of you here, while I shall pray.
Y llegaron al huerto llamado Getsemaní, y dijo a sus discípulos: “Sentaos aquí mientras hago oración”.
33 And he takes with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
Tomó consigo a Pedro, a Santiago y a Juan; y comenzó a atemorizarse y angustiarse.
34 And says unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry all of you here, and watch.
Y les dijo: “Mi alma está mortalmente triste; quedaos aquí y velad”.
35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
Y yendo un poco más lejos, se postró en tierra, y rogó a fin de que, si fuese posible, se alejase de Él esa hora;
36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will.
y decía: “¡Abba, Padre! ¡todo te es posible; aparta de Mí este cáliz; pero, no como Yo quiero, sino como Tú!”.
37 And he comes, and finds them sleeping, and says unto Peter, Simon, sleep you? could not you watch one hour?
Volvió y los halló dormidos; y dijo a Pedro: “¡Simón! ¿duermes? ¿No pudiste velar una hora?
38 Watch all of you and pray, lest all of you enter into temptation. The spirit (pneuma) truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Velad y orad para no entrar en tentación. El espíritu está dispuesto, pero la carne es débil”.
39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spoke the same words. (logos)
Se alejó de nuevo y oró, diciendo lo mismo.
40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy, ) neither know they what to answer him.
Después volvió y los encontró todavía dormidos; sus ojos estaban en efecto cargados, y no supieron qué decirle.
41 And he comes the third time, and says unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour has come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Una tercera vez volvió, y les dijo: “¿Dormís ya y descansáis? ¡Basta! llegó la hora. Mirad: ahora el Hijo del hombre es entregado en las manos de los pecadores.
42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrays me is at hand.
¡Levantaos! ¡Vamos! Se acerca el que me entrega”.
43 And immediately, while he yet spoke, comes Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
Y al punto, cuando Él todavía hablaba, apareció Judas, uno de los Doce, y con él una tropa armada de espadas y palos, enviada por los sumos sacerdotes, los escribas y los ancianos.
44 And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.
Y el que lo entregaba, les había dado esta señal: “Aquel a quien yo daré un beso, Él es: prendedlo y llevadlo con cautela”.
45 And as soon as he was come, he goes immediately to him, and says, Master, master; and kissed him.
Y apenas llegó, se acercó a Él y le dijo: “Rabí”, y lo besó.
46 And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
Ellos, pues, le echaron mano, y lo sujetaron.
47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and stroke a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
Entonces, uno de los que ahí estaban, desenvainó su espada, y dio al siervo del sumo sacerdote un golpe y le amputó la oreja.
48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are all of you come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
Y Jesús, respondiendo, les dijo: “Como contra un bandolero habéis salido, armados de espadas y palos, para prenderme.
49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and all of you took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Todos los días estaba Yo en medio de vosotros enseñando en el Templo, y no me prendisteis. Pero ( es ) para que se cumplan las Escrituras”.
50 And they all forsook him, and fled.
Y abandonándole, huyeron todos.
51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:
Cierto joven, empero, lo siguió, envuelto en una sábana sobre el cuerpo desnudo, y lo prendieron;
52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
pero él soltando la sábana, se escapó de ellos desnudo.
53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
Condujeron a Jesús a casa del Sumo Sacerdote, donde se reunieron todos los jefes de los sacerdotes, los ancianos y los escribas.
54 And Peter followed him far off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
Pedro lo había seguido de lejos hasta el interior del palacio del Sumo Sacerdote, y estando sentado con los criados se calentaba junto al fuego.
55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
Los sumos sacerdotes, y todo el Sanhedrín, buscaban contra Jesús un testimonio para hacerlo morir, pero no lo hallaban.
56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
Muchos, ciertamente, atestiguaron en falso contra Él, pero los testimonios no eran concordes.
57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
Y algunos se levantaron y adujeron contra Él este falso testimonio:
58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
“Nosotros le hemos oído decir: ‘Derribaré este Templo hecho de mano de hombre, y en el espacio de tres días reedificaré otro no hecho de mano de hombre’”.
59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
Pero aun en esto el testimonio de ellos no era concorde.
60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness against you?
Entonces, el Sumo Sacerdote, se puso de pie en medio e interrogó a Jesús diciendo: “¿No respondes nada? ¿Qué es lo que estos atestiguan contra Ti?”
61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Pero Él guardó silencio y nada respondió. De nuevo, el Sumo Sacerdote lo interrogó y le dijo: “¿Eres Tú el Cristo, el Hijo del Bendito?”
62 And Jesus said, I am: and all of you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Jesús respondió: “Yo soy. Y veréis al Hijo del Hombre sentado a la derecha del Poder, y viniendo en las nubes del cielo”.
63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and says, What need we any further witnesses?
Entonces, el Sumo Sacerdote rasgó sus vestidos, y dijo: “¿Qué necesidad tenemos ahora de testigos?
64 All of you have heard the blasphemy: what think all of you? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
Vosotros acabáis de oír la blasfemia. ¿Qué os parece?” Y ellos todos sentenciaron que Él era reo de muerte.
65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
Y comenzaron algunos a escupir sobre Él y, velándole el rostro, lo abofeteaban diciéndole: “¡Adivina!” Y los criados le daban bofetadas.
66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there comes one of the maids of the high priest:
Mientras Pedro estaba abajo, en el patio, vino una de las sirvientas del Sumo Sacerdote,
67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And you also were with Jesus of Nazareth.
la cual viendo a Pedro que se calentaba, lo miró y le dijo: “Tú también estabas con el Nazareno Jesús”.
68 But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what you say. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
Pero él lo negó, diciendo: “No sé absolutamente qué quieres decir”. Y salió fuera, al pórtico, y cantó un gallo.
69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
Y la sirvienta, habiéndolo visto allí, se puso otra vez a decir a los circunstantes: “Este es uno de ellos”. Y él lo negó de nuevo.
70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely you are one of them: for you are a Galilaean, and your speech agrees thereto.
Poco después los que estaban allí, dijeron nuevamente a Pedro: “Por cierto que tú eres de ellos; porque también eres galileo”.
71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom all of you speak.
Entonces, comenzó a echar imprecaciones y dijo con juramento: “Yo no conozco a ese hombre del que habláis”.
72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word (rhema) that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, you shall deny me three times. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
Al punto, por segunda vez, cantó un gallo. Y Pedro se acordó de la palabra que Jesús le había dicho: “Antes que el gallo cante dos veces, me habrás negado tres”, y rompió en sollozos.
