Luke 13
1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
En aquel momento llegaron algunas personas a traerle la noticia de esos galileos cuya sangre Pilato había mezclado con la de sus sacrificios.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose all of you that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
Y respondiendo les dijo: “¿Pensáis que estos galileos fueron los más pecadores de todos los galileos, porque han sufrido estas cosas?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except all of you repent, all of you shall all likewise perish.
Os digo que de ninguna manera, sino que todos pereceréis igualmente si no os arrepentís.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think all of you that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
O bien aquellos dieciocho, sobre los cuales cayó la torre de Siloé y los mató, ¿pensáis que eran más culpables que todos los demás habitantes de Jerusalén?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except all of you repent, all of you shall all likewise perish.
Os digo que de ninguna manera sino que todos pereceréis igualmente si no os convertís”.
6 He spoke also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
Y dijo esta parábola: “Un hombre tenía una higuera plantada en su viña. Vino a buscar fruto de ella, y no lo halló.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbers it the ground?
Entonces dijo al viñador: “Mira, tres años hace que vengo a buscar fruto en esta higuera, y no lo hallo. ¡Córtala! ¿Por qué ha de inutilizar la tierra?”
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
Mas él le respondió y dijo: “Señor, déjala todavía este año, hasta que yo cave alrededor y eche abono.
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that you shall cut it down.
Quizá dé fruto en lo futuro; si no, la cortarás”.
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
Un día sabático enseñaba en una sinagoga.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit (pneuma) of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
Había allí una mujer que tenía desde hacía dieciocho años, un espíritu de enfermedad: estaba toda encorvada, y sin poder absolutamente enderezarse.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.
Al verla Jesús, la llamó y le dijo: “Mujer, queda libre de tu enfermedad”.
13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Y puso sobre ella sus manos, y al punto se enderezó y se puso a glorificar a Dios.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
Entonces, el jefe de la sinagoga, indignado porque Jesús había curado en día sabático, respondió y dijo al pueblo: “Hay seis días para trabajar; en esos días podéis venir para haceros curar, y no el día de sábado”.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, You hypocrite, does not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
Mas Jesús le replicó diciendo: “Hipócritas, ¿cada uno de vosotros no desata su buey o su asno del pesebre, en día sabático, para llevarlo al abrevadero?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
Y a esta, que es una hija de Abrahán, que Satanás tenía ligada hace ya dieciocho años, ¿no se la había de libertar de sus ataduras, en día sabático?”
17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
A estas palabras, todos sus adversarios quedaron anonadados de vergüenza, en tanto que la muchedumbre entera se gozaba de todas las cosas gloriosas hechas por Él.
18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and unto which shall I resemble it?
Dijo entonces: “¿A qué es semejante el reino de Dios, y con qué podré compararlo?
19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
Es semejante a un grano de mostaza que un hombre tomó y fue a sembrar en su huerta; creció, vino a ser un árbol, y los pájaros del cielo llegaron a anidar en sus ramas”.
20 And again he said, Unto which shall I liken the kingdom of God?
Dijo todavía: “¿Con qué podré comparar el reino de Dios?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
Es semejante a la levadura que una mujer tomó y escondió en tres medidas de harina y, finalmente, todo fermentó”.
22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
Y pasaba por ciudades y aldeas y enseñaba yendo de viaje hacia Jerusalén.
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
Díjole uno: “Señor, ¿los que se salvan serán pocos?”
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Respondioles: “Pelead para entrar por la puerta angosta, porque muchos, os lo declaro, tratarán de entrar y no podrán.
25 When once the master of the house has risen up, and has shut to the door, and all of you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence all of you are:
En seguida que el dueño de casa se haya despertado y haya cerrado la puerta, vosotros, estando fuera, os pondréis a llamar a la puerta diciendo: “¡Señor, ábrenos!” Mas él respondiendo os dirá: “No os conozco ( ni sé ) de dónde sois”.
26 Then shall all of you begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets.
Entonces comenzaréis a decir: “Comimos y bebimos delante de ti, y enseñaste en nuestras plazas”.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence all of you are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.
Pero él os dirá: “Os digo, no sé de dónde sois. Alejaos de mí, obradores todos de iniquidad”.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when all of you shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
Allí será el llanto y el rechinar de dientes, cuando veáis a Abrahán, a Isaac y a Jacob y a todos los profetas en el reino de Dios, y a vosotros arrojados fuera.
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
y del oriente y del occidente, del norte y del mediodía vendrán a sentarse a la mesa en el reino de Dios.
30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
Y así hay últimos que serán primeros, y primeros que serán últimos”.
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get you out, and depart behind: for Herod will kill you.
En ese momento se acercaron algunos fariseos, para decirle: “¡Sal, vete de aquí, porque Herodes te quiere matar”.
32 And he said unto them, Go all of you, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
Y les dijo: “Id a decir a ese zorro: He aquí que echo demonios y obro curaciones hoy y mañana; el tercer día habré terminado.
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
Pero hoy, mañana y al otro día, es necesario que Yo ande, porque no cabe que un profeta perezca fuera de Jerusalén”.
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kill the prophets, and stone them that are sent unto you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen does gather her brood under her wings, and all of you would not!
Jerusalén, Jerusalén, tú que matas a los profetas, y apedreas a los que te son enviados, ¡cuántas veces quise Yo reunir a tus hijos, como la gallina reúne su pollada debajo de sus alas, y vosotros no lo habéis querido!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, All of you shall not see me, until the time come when all of you shall say, Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.
Ved que vuestra casa os va a quedar desierta. Yo os lo digo, no me volveréis a ver, hasta que llegue el tiempo en que digáis: “¡Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor!”
