John 8
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
Y Jesús se fue al Monte de los Olivos.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
Por la mañana reapareció en el Templo y todo el pueblo vino a Él, y sentándose les enseñaba.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
Entonces los escribas y los fariseos llevaron una mujer sorprendida en adulterio, y poniéndola en medio,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
le dijeron: “Maestro, esta mujer ha sido sorprendida en flagrante delito de adulterio.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what say you?
Ahora bien, en la Ley, Moisés nos ordenó apedrear a tales mujeres. ¿Y Tú, qué dices?”
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
Esto decían para ponerlo en apuros, para tener de qué acusarlo. Pero Jesús, inclinándose, se puso a escribir en el suelo, con el dedo.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Como ellos persistían en su pregunta, se enderezó y les dijo: “Aquel de vosotros que esté sin pecado, tire el primero la piedra contra ella”.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
E inclinándose de nuevo, se puso otra vez a escribir en el suelo.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Pero ellos, después de oír aquello, se fueron uno por uno, comenzando por los más viejos, hasta los postreros, y quedó Él solo, con la mujer que estaba en medio.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those your accusers? has no man condemned you?
Entonces Jesús, levantándose, le dijo: “Mujer, ¿dónde están ellos? ¿Ninguno te condenó?”
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.
“Ninguno, Señor”, respondió ella. Y Jesús le dijo: “Yo no te condeno tampoco. Vete, desde ahora no peques más”.
12 Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Jesús les habló otra vez, y dijo: “Yo soy la luz del mundo. El que me siga, no andará en tinieblas, sino que tendrá la luz de la vida”.
13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, You bear record of yourself; your record is not true.
Le dijeron, entonces, los fariseos: “Tú te das testimonio a Ti mismo; tu testimonio no es verdadero”.
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and where I go; but all of you cannot tell whence I come, and where I go.
Jesús les respondió y dijo: “Aunque Yo doy testimonio de Mí mismo, mi testimonio es verdadero, porque sé de dónde vengo y adónde voy; mas vosotros no sabéis de dónde vengo ni adónde voy.
15 All of you judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
Vosotros juzgáis carnalmente; Yo no juzgo a nadie;
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
y si Yo juzgo, mi juicio es verdadero, porque no soy Yo solo, sino Yo y el Padre que me envió.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
Está escrito también en vuestra Ley que el testimonio de dos hombres es verdadero.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me.
Ahora bien, para dar testimonio de Mí, estoy Yo mismo y el Padre que me envió”.
19 Then said they unto him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, All of you neither know me, nor my Father: if all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also.
Ellos le dijeron: “¿Dónde está tu Padre?” Jesús respondió: “Vosotros no conocéis ni a Mí ni a mi Padre; si me conocieseis a Mí, conoceríais también a mi Padre”.
20 These words (rhema) spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
Dijo esto junto al Tesoro, enseñando en el Templo. Y nadie se apoderó de Él, porque su hora no había llegado aún.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and all of you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, all of you cannot come.
De nuevo les dijo: “Yo me voy y vosotros me buscaréis, mas moriréis en vuestro pecado. Adonde Yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir”.
22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he says, Where I go, all of you cannot come.
Entonces los judíos dijeron: “Acaso va a matarse, pues que dice: Adonde Yo voy, vosotros no podéis venir”.
23 And he said unto them, All of you are from beneath; I am from above: all of you are of this world; I am not of this world.
Y Él les dijo: “Vosotros sois de abajo; Yo soy de arriba. Vosotros sois de este mundo; Yo no soy de este mundo.
24 I said therefore unto you, that all of you shall die in your sins: for if all of you believe not that I am he, all of you shall die in your sins.
Por esto, os dije que moriréis en vuestros pecados. Sí, si no creéis que Yo soy ( el Cristo ), moriréis en vuestros pecados”.
25 Then said they unto him, Who are you? And Jesus says unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
Entonces le dijeron: “Pues ¿quién eres?” Respondioles Jesús: “Eso mismo que os digo desde el principio.
26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
Tengo mucho que decir y juzgar de vosotros. Pues El que me envió es veraz, y lo que Yo oí a Él, esto es lo que enseño al mundo”.
27 They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father.
Ellos no comprendieron que les estaba hablando del Padre.
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When all of you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall all of you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.
Jesús les dijo pues: “Cuando hayáis alzado al Hijo del hombre, entonces conoceréis que soy Yo ( el Cristo ), y que de Mí mismo no hago nada, sino que hablo como mi Padre me enseñó.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
El que me envió, está conmigo. El no me ha dejado solo, porque Yo hago siempre lo que le agrada”.
30 As he spoke these words, many believed on him.
Al decir estas cosas, muchos creyeron en Él.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If all of you continue in my word, (logos) then are all of you my disciples indeed;
Jesús dijo entonces a los judíos que le habían creído: “Si permanecéis en mi palabra, sois verdaderamente mis discípulos,
32 And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os hará libres”.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, All of you shall be made free?
Replicáronle: “Nosotros somos la descendencia de Abrahán, y jamás hemos sido esclavos de nadie; ¿cómo, pues, dices Tú, llegaréis a ser libres?”
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.
Jesús les respondió: “En verdad, en verdad, os digo, todo el que comete pecado es esclavo [del pecado].
Ahora bien, el esclavo no queda en la casa para siempre; el hijo queda para siempre. (aiōn g165)
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.
Si, pues, el Hijo os hace libres, seréis verdaderamente libres.
37 I know that all of you are Abraham's seed; but all of you seek to kill me, because my word (logos) has no place in you.
Bien sé que sois la posteridad de Abrahán, y sin embargo, tratáis de matarme, porque mi palabra no halla cabida en vosotros.
38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and all of you do that which all of you have seen with your father.
Yo digo lo que he visto junto a mi Padre; y vosotros, hacéis lo que habéis aprendido de vuestro padre”.
39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says unto them, If all of you were Abraham's children, all of you would do the works of Abraham.
Ellos le replicaron diciendo: “Nuestro padre es Abrahán”. Jesús les dijo: “Si fuerais hijos de Abrahán, haríais las obras de Abrahán.
40 But now all of you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Sin embargo, ahora tratáis de matarme a Mí, hombre que os he dicho la verdad que aprendí de Dios. ¡No hizo esto Abrahán!
41 All of you do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Vosotros hacéis las obras de vuestro padre”. Dijéronle: “Nosotros no hemos nacido del adulterio; no tenemos más que un padre: ¡Dios!”
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, all of you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Jesús les respondió: “Si Dios fuera vuestro padre, me amaríais a Mí, porque Yo salí y vine de Dios. No vine por Mí mismo sino que Él me envió.
43 Why do all of you not understand my speech? even because all of you cannot hear my word. (logos)
¿Por qué, pues, no comprendéis mi lenguaje? Porque no podéis sufrir mi palabra.
44 All of you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father all of you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Vosotros sois hijos del diablo, y queréis cumplir los deseos de vuestro padre. Él fue homicida desde el principio, y no permaneció en la verdad, porque no hay nada de verdad en él. Cuando profiere la mentira, habla de lo propio, porque él es mentiroso y padre de la mentira.
45 And because I tell you the truth, all of you believe me not.
Y a Mí porque os digo la verdad, no me creéis.
46 Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do all of you not believe me?
¿Quién de vosotros puede acusarme de pecado? Y entonces; si digo la verdad, ¿por qué no me creéis?
47 He that is of God hears God's words: (rhema) all of you therefore hear them not, because all of you are not of God.
El que es de Dios, escucha las palabras de Dios; por eso no la escucháis vosotros, porque no sois de Dios”.
48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil?
A lo cual los judíos respondieron diciéndole: “¿No tenemos razón, en decir que Tú eres un samaritano y un endemoniado?”
49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and all of you do dishonour me.
Jesús repuso: “Yo no soy un endemoniado, sino que honro a mi Padre, y vosotros me estáis ultrajando.
50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeks and judges.
Mas Yo no busco mi gloria; hay quien la busca y juzgará.
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, (logos) he shall never see death. (aiōn g165)
En verdad, en verdad, os digo, si alguno guardare mi palabra, no verá jamás la muerte”. (aiōn g165)
52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man keep my saying, (logos) he shall never taste of death. (aiōn g165)
Respondiéronle los judíos “Ahora sabemos que estás endemoniado. Abrahán murió, los profetas también; y tú dices: “Si alguno guardare mi palabra no gustará jamás la muerte”. (aiōn g165)
53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself?
¿Eres tú, pues, más grande que nuestro padre Abrahán, el cual murió? Y los profetas también murieron; ¿quién te haces a Ti mismo?”
54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom all of you say, that he is your God:
Jesús respondió: “Si Yo me glorifico a Mí mismo, mi gloria nada es; mi Padre es quien me glorifica: Aquel de quien vosotros decís que es vuestro Dios;
55 Yet all of you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. (logos)
mas vosotros no lo conocéis. Yo sí que lo conozco, y si dijera que no lo conozco, sería mentiroso como vosotros, pero lo conozco y conservo su palabra.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Abrahán, vuestro padre, exultó por ver mi día; y lo vio y se llenó de gozo”.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?
Dijéronle, pues, los judíos: “No tienes todavía cincuenta años, ¿y has visto a Abrahán?”
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Díjoles Jesús: “En verdad, en verdad os digo: Antes que Abrahán existiera, Yo soy”.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Entonces tomaron piedras para arrojarlas sobre Él. Pero Jesús se ocultó y salió del Templo.
