John 15

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.

Ich bin der wahre Weinstock, und mein Vater ist der Weingärtner.

2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Jede Rebe an mir, welche keine Frucht bringt, die schneidet er ab, und jede, welche Frucht bringt, die reinigt er, damit sie mehr Frucht bringe.

3 Now all of you are clean through the word (logos) which I have spoken unto you.

Ihr seid schon rein, um des Wortes willen, das ich zu euch geredet habe.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can all of you, except all of you abide in me.

Bleibet in mir, und ich in euch. Gleichwie die Rebe kann keine Frucht bringen von ihr selbst, wenn sie nicht am Weinstock bleibt, so auch ihr nicht, wenn ihr nicht in mir bleibet.

5 I am the vine, all of you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me all of you can do nothing.

Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr seid die Reben. Wer in mir bleibt, und ich in ihm, der bringt viel Frucht, denn ohne mich könnt ihr nichts tun.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Wer nicht in mir bleibt, der ist weggeworfen, wie die Rebe, und verdorrt; und man sammelt sie, und wirft sie ins Feuer, und sie verbrennen.

7 If all of you abide in me, and my words (rhema) abide in you, all of you shall ask what all of you will, and it shall be done unto you.

Wenn ihr in mir bleibet, und meine Worte in euch bleiben, so mögt ihr erbitten, was ihr wollt, und es wird euch werden.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that all of you bear much fruit; so shall all of you be my disciples.

darin wird mein Vater verherrlicht, daß ihr viel Frucht bringet, und meine Jünger werdet.

9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue all of you in my love. (agape)

Gleichwie der Vater mich geliebt hat, so liebe auch ich euch; bleibet in meiner Liebe.

10 If all of you keep my commandments, all of you shall abide in my love; (agape) even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (agape)

Wenn ihr meine Gebote halten werdet, so bleibet ihr in meiner Liebe, gleichwie ich die Gebote meines Vaters gehalten habe, und bleibe in seiner Liebe.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Dieses habe ich mit euch geredet, damit meine Freude in euch bleibe, und euere Freude völlig werde.

12 This is my commandment, That all of you love one another, as I have loved you.

Dies ist mein Gebot, daß ihr einander liebet, wie ich euch geliebt habe.

13 Greater love (agape) has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Größere Liebe hat niemand, als die, daß er seine Seele hingibt für seine Freunde.

14 All of you are my friends, if all of you do whatsoever I command you.

Ihr seid meine Freunde, wenn ihr tut, was ich euch gebiete.

15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Ich nenne euch nicht mehr Knechte, denn der Knecht weiß nicht, was sein Herr tut; euch aber habe ich Freunde geheißen, weil ich euch alles kund getan habe, was ich von meinem Vater gehört habe.

16 All of you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that all of you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever all of you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Nicht ihr habt mich auserwählt, sondern ich habe euch auserwählt, und euch gesetzt, daß ihr hingehet und Frucht bringet, und euere Frucht bleibe; damit was ihr den Vater bittet in meinem Namen, er euch gebe.

17 These things I command you, that all of you love one another.

Dieses gebiete ich euch, damit ihr einander liebet.

18 If the world hate you, all of you know that it hated me before it hated you.

Wenn die Welt euch haßt, so wisset, daß sie mich vor euch gehaßt hat.

19 If all of you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because all of you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Wenn ihr von der Welt wäret, so hätte die Welt das Ihre lieb; weil ihr aber nicht von der Welt seid, sondern ich euch von der Welt auserwählt habe, darum haßt euch die Welt.

20 Remember the word (logos) that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, (logos) they will keep your also.

Erinnert euch des Wortes, daß ich euch gesagt habe: Der Knecht ist nicht größer, als sein Herr. Wenn sie mich verfolgt haben, so werden sie euch auch verfolgen; wenn sie mein Wort gehalten haben, so werden sie auch das eurige halten.

21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

Aber dies alles werden sie euch tun um meines Namens willen, weil sie den nicht kennen, der mich gesandt hat.

22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.

Wenn ich nicht gekommen wäre, und hätte zu ihnen geredet, so hätten sie keine Sünde, jetzt haben sie keine Ausrede für ihre Sünde.

23 He that hates me hates my Father also.

Wer mich haßt, der haßt auch meinen Vater.

24 If I had not done among them the works which no other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

Wenn ich nicht die Taten unter ihnen getan hätte, die kein anderer getan hat, so hätten sie keine Sünde, jetzt aber haben sie sie gesehen, und doch mich und meinen Vater gehaßt.

25 But this comes to pass, that the word (logos) might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

Aber (es geschah) damit erfüllt werde das Wort, welches in ihrem Gesetz geschrieben steht: "Sie haßten mich ohne Ursache.

26 But when the Comforter has come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit (pneuma) of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Wenn aber der Beistand gekommen ist, welchen ich euch sende vom Vater, der Geist der Wahrheit, der vom Vater ausgeht, so wird derselbige zeugen von mir.

27 And all of you also shall bear witness, because all of you have been with me from the beginning.

Und ihr werdet auch zeugen, weil ihr vom Anfang an bei mir gewesen seid.
