John 17

1 These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you:

Solches redete Jesus, und hob seine Augen auf gen Himmel, und sprach: Vater, die Stunde ist gekommen; verherrliche deinen Sohn, damit dein Sohn dich auch verherrliche.

2 As you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him. (aiōnios g166)

Gleichwie du ihm Macht gegeben hast über alles Fleisch, damit er allen, die du ihm gegeben hast, ewiges Leben geben möge. (aiōnios g166)

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (aiōnios g166)

Das ist aber das ewige Leben, daß sie ich (als) den alleinigen wahren Gott, und den du gesandt hast, Jesus (als) Messias, erkennen. (aiōnios g166)

4 I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.

Ich habe dich auf Erden verherrlicht, und das Werk vollendet, welches du mir gegeben hast, damit ich es tun solle.

5 And now, O Father, glorify you me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.

Und jetzt verherrliche du mich, o Vater, bei dir selbst, mit der Herrlichkeit, welche ich bei dir hatte, ehe die Welt war.

6 I have manifested your name unto the men which you gave me out of the world: your they were, and you gave them me; and they have kept your word. (logos)

Ich habe deinen Namen den Menschen geoffenbart, welche du mir aus der Welt gegeben hast. Dein waren sie, und du hast sie mir gegeben, und sie haben dein Wort behalten.

7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever you have given me are of you.

Jetzt haben sie erkannt, daß alles, was du mir gegeben hast, von dir ist,

8 For I have given unto them the words (rhema) which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from you, and they have believed that you did send me.

Denn die Worte, welche du mir gegeben hast, habe ich ihnen gegeben, und sie haben sie angenommen, und wahrhaftig erkannt, daß ich von dir ausgegangen, bin, und geglaubt, daß du mich gesandt hast.

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which you have given me; for they are yours.

Ich bitte für sie; nicht für die Welt bitte ich, sondern für die, welche du mir gegeben hast, denn sie sind dein.

10 And all mine are yours, and your are mine; and I am glorified in them.

Und alles, was mein ist, das ist dein, und was dein ist, das ist mein; und ich bin in ihnen verherrlicht.

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep through your own name those whom you have given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Und ich bin nicht mehr in der Welt, aber diese sind in der Welt, und ich gehe zu dir. Heiliger Vater, erhalte sie in deinem Namen, die du mir gegeben hast, damit sie eins seien, gleichwie wir.

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name: those that you gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Als ich bei ihnen in der Welt war, erhielt ich sie in deinem Namen; die du mir gegeben hast, die habe ich bewahrt, und keiner von ihnen ist verloren, außer der Sohn des Verderbens, damit die Schrift erfüllt würde.

13 And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

Jetzt aber komme ich zu dir, und dieses rede ich in die Welt, damit sie meine Freude völlig in sich haben mögen.

14 I have given them your word; (logos) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Ich habe ihnen dein Wort gegeben, und die Welt haßt sie, denn sie sind nicht aus der Welt, gleichwie auch ich nicht aus der Welt bin.

15 I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.

Ich bitte nicht, daß du sie aus der Welt nehmest, sondern daß du sie bewahrest vom Bösen.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Aus der Welt sind sie nicht, gleichwie ich nicht aus der Welt bin;

17 Sanctify them through your truth: your word (logos) is truth.

Heilige sie in deiner Wahrheit, dein Wort ist die Wahrheit.

18 As you have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

Gleichwie du mich gesandt in die Welt, so sende auch ich sie in die Welt.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Und ich heilige mich selbst für sie, damit auch sie geheiligt seien in Wahrheit.

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; (logos)

Aber ich bitte nicht für diese allein, sondern auch für die, welche durch ihr Wort an mich glauben;

21 That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Damit alle eins seien, gleichwie du, Vater in mir, und ich in dir; damit auch sie in uns eins seien, damit die Welt glaube, daß du mich gesandt hast.

22 And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Und die Herrlichkeit, welche du mir gegeben hast, habe ich ihnen gegeben, damit sie eins seien, gleichwie wir eins sind.

23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.

Ich in ihnen, und du in mir, damit sie in eins vollendet seien, und damit die Welt erkenne, daß du mich gesandt, und sie geliebt hast, gleichwie du mich geliebt hast.

24 Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

Vater, ich will, daß wo ich bin, auch die bei mir seien, die du mir gegeben hast, damit sie meine Herrlichkeit schauen, welche du mir gegeben hast, weil du mich geliebt hast, vor Grundlegung der Welt.

25 O righteous Father, the world has not known you: but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me.

Gerechter Vater, die Welt hat dich ja nicht erkannt, ich aber habe dich erkannt, und diese haben erkannt, daß du mich gesandt hast.

26 And I have declared unto them your name, and will declare it: that the love (agape) wherewith you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Und ich habe ihnen deinen Namen kundgetan, und werde ihn kundtun, damit die Liebe, mit welcher du mich geliebt hast, sei in ihnen, und ich in ihnen.
