< Ephesians 2 >

1 And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Fa nivilasy amo tahiñe naho hakeo’ areoo nahareo,
2 Wherein in time past all of you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit (pneuma) that now works in the children of disobedience: (aiōn g165)
ie nañavelo an-tsata’ ty voatse toy te taolo, nañorike ty ana-dovàn-kaozara’ i tiokey, i fañahy mifanehake an-tro’ o anam-panjeharañeoy. (aiōn g165)
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Toe hene nimpiam’ iereo ka tika taolo amo hadraom-batan-tikañeo, ie nañeneke o nipaia’ o nofotseoo naho o fivetsevetseo vaho ni-anan-kabosehañe amo satan-tikañeo, manahake o ila’eo.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love (agape) wherewith he loved us,
Fe i Andrianañahare, mpañaleale am-piferenaiñañe, ty amy fikokoa’e jabajaba nikokoa’e antikañey,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace all of you are saved; )
itika nikoromake an-kakeo ro nampitroara’e ho veloñe mindre amy Norizañey (i hasoa’ey ro mandrombake anahareo),
6 And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
le naharo’e fionjoñe ama’e tika, naho nampindreze’e fiambesatse andindìñe añe am’ Iesoà Norizañey,
7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (aiōn g165)
hampalangesa’e amo sa añeo ty hajabahinan-kasaron-kasoa’e ami’ty fatariha’e aman-tika am’ Iesoà Norizañey. (aiōn g165)
8 For by grace are all of you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
I hasoa’ey ty mandrombake anahareo am-patokisañe, toe tsy inahareo, fa ty falalàn’ Añahare,
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
le tsy o fitoloñañeo, tsy mone ao ty hiebotsebotse.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
Satam-pità’e tikañe: naoreñe am’ Iesoà Norizañey hitoloñe o raha soa hinalankan’ Añahare aolo hañaveloan-tikañe ama’eo.
11 Wherefore remember, that all of you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
Aa le tiahio t’ie nimpiamo kilakila ondaty a nofotseo te taolo, ie atao’ o sinavatseo ty hoe: tsy sinavatse (o fanoeñe an-tsandriñe am-pitàñeo),
12 That at that time all of you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
mbore tsy tamy Norizañey nahareo henane zay, ni-renetane amy valobohò’ o nte-Israeleoy naho ambahiny amo fañìnam-pampitamañeo, tsy nanan-ko tamaeñe, vaho tsy aman’ Añahare ami’ty voatse toy.
13 But now in Christ Jesus all of you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
F’ie henaneo ro am’ Iesoà Norizañey ao, ie ni-tsietoitane añe ro nampañarinea’ ty lio’ i Norizañey.
14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Ie ty fifampilongoan-tika, ie nanoen-ko raike i roey, naho rinotsa’e i kijoly nanebañey,
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; in order to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace;
ie finongo’e am-pañòva’e ao i fifampirafelahiañey—toe ty Ha’ o fañè’e nalahatse ho fepètseo—hamitraña’e ama’e ty ondaty vao boak’ amy roe rey, hampanintsiña’e,
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
songa ho jebañe’e am-pañova raike aman’ Añahare, ie nandrotsake i fifampirafelahiañey ami’ty vata’e an-katae ajale eo.
17 And came and preached peace to you which were far off, and to them that were nigh.
Nimb’ atoa re nitaroñe fifampilongoañe amo tsietoitane añeo naho fañanintsiñe amo marineo,
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit (pneuma) unto the Father.
ie ro anañan-tika roe lalañe mb’aman-dRae amy Arofo raikey.
19 Now therefore all of you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
Aa le tsy ambahiny, tsy aliheñe ka nahareo, fa borizañe mindre amo noro’eo, naho hasavereñan’ Añaharey,
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
mioreñe ami’ty mananta’ o Firàheñe naho mpitokio: Iesoà Norizañe talèm-bato-kotsokey,
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in the Lord:
ama’e ty andrafetañe i anjombay iaby hitomboa’e ho anjomba Masiñe amy Talè ao.
22 In whom all of you also are built together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (pneuma)
Ama’e ao ka ty andranjiañe anahareo ho fitobean’ Añahare añamy Arofoy.
