1 Corinthians 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also all of you have received, and wherein all of you stand;
Os recuerdo, hermanos, el Evangelio que os prediqué y que aceptasteis, y en el cual perseveráis,
2 By which also all of you are saved, if all of you keep in memory what (logos) I preached unto you, unless all of you have believed in vain.
y por el cual os salváis, si lo retenéis en los términos que os lo anuncié, a menos que hayáis creído en vano.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
Porque os trasmití ante todo lo que yo mismo recibí: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, conforme a las Escrituras;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
y que fue sepultado; y que fue resucitado al tercer día, conforme a las Escrituras;
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
y que se apareció a Cefas, y después a los Doce.
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
Luego fue visto por más de quinientos hermanos a la vez, de los cuales la mayor parte viven hasta ahora; mas algunos murieron ya.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
Posteriormente se apareció a Santiago, y luego a todos los, apóstoles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
Y al último de todos, como al abortivo, se me apareció también a mí.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
Porque yo soy el ínfimo de los apóstoles, que no soy digno de ser llamado apóstol, pues perseguí a la Iglesia de Dios.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Mas por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy, y su gracia que me dio no resultó estéril, antes bien he trabajado más copiosamente que todos ellos; bien que no yo, sino la gracia de Dios conmigo.
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so all of you believed.
Sea, pues, yo, o sean ellos, así predicamos, y así creísteis.
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
Ahora bien, si se predica a Cristo como resucitado de entre los muertos ¿cómo es que algunos dicen entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de muertos?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
Si es así que no hay resurrección de muertos, tampoco ha resucitado Cristo.
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Y si Cristo no ha resucitado, vana es nuestra predicación, vana también vuestra fe.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
Y entonces somos también hallados falsos testigos de Dios, por cuanto atestiguamos contrariamente a Dios que Él resucitó a Cristo, a quien no resucitó, si es así que los muertos no resucitan.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco ha resucitado Cristo;
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; all of you are yet in your sins.
y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es vuestra fe; aún estáis en vuestros pecados.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
Por consiguiente, también los que ya murieron en Cristo, se perdieron.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
Si solamente para esta vida tenemos esperanza en Cristo, somos los más miserables de todos los hombres.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept.
Mas ahora Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos, primicia de los que durmieron.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
Puesto que por un hombre vino la muerte, por un hombre viene también la resurrección de los muertos.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Porque como en Adán todos mueren, así también en Cristo todos serán vivificados.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
Pero cada uno por su orden: como primicia Cristo; luego los de Cristo en su Parusía;
24 Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
después el fin, cuando Él entregue el reino al Dios y Padre, cuando haya derribado todo principado y toda potestad y todo poder.
25 For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet.
Porque es necesario que Él reine “hasta que ponga a todos los enemigos bajo sus pies”.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
El último enemigo destruido será la muerte.
27 For he has put all things under his feet. But when he says all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
Porque “todas las cosas las sometió bajo sus pies”. Mas cuando dice que todas las cosas están sometidas, claro es que queda exceptuado Aquel que se las sometió todas a Él.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Y cuando le hayan sido sometidas todas las cosas, entonces el mismo Hijo también se someterá al que le sometió todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todo en todo.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
De no ser así ¿qué hacen los que se bautizan por los muertos? Si los muertos de ninguna manera resucitan ¿por qué pues se bautizan por ellos?
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
¿Y por qué nosotros mismos nos exponemos a peligros a toda hora?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our LORD, I die daily.
En cuanto a mí, cada día me expongo a la muerte, y os aseguro, hermanos, que es por la gloria que a causa de vosotros tengo en Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantages it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; in order to morrow we die.
Si por, solos motivos humanos luché yo con las fieras en Éfeso ¿de qué me sirve? Si los muertos no resucitan “¡comamos y bebamos! que mañana morimos”.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Mas no os dejéis seducir: malas compañías corrompen buenas costumbres.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Reaccionad con rectitud y no pequéis; porque —lo digo para vergüenza vuestra— a algunos les falta conocimiento de Dios.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
Pero alguien dirá: ¿Cómo resucitan los muertos? y ¿con qué cuerpo vienen?
36 You fool, that which you sow is not quickened, except it die:
¡Oh ignorante! Lo que tú siembras no es vivificado si no muere.
37 And that which you sow, you sow not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
Y lo que siembras no es el cuerpo que ha de ser, sino un simple grano, como por ejemplo de trigo, o algún otro.
38 But God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
Mas Dios le da un cuerpo, así como Él quiso, y a cada semilla cuerpo propio.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
No toda carne es la misma carne, sino que una es de hombres, otra de ganados, otra de volátiles y otra de peces.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
Hay también cuerpos celestes y cuerpos terrestres; pero, uno es el esplendor de los celestes, y otro el de los terrestres.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory.
Uno es el esplendor del sol, otro el esplendor de la luna, y otro el esplendor de las estrellas; pues en esplendor se diferencia estrella de estrella.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
Así sucede también en la resurrección de los muertos. Sembrado corruptible, es resucitado incorruptible;
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
sembrado en ignominia, resucita en gloria; sembrado en debilidad, resucita en poder;
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
sembrado cuerpo natural, resucita cuerpo espiritual; pues si hay cuerpo natural, lo hay también espiritual;
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a life-giving spirit. (pneuma)
como está escrito: “El primer hombre, Adán, fue hecho alma viviente”, el postrer Adán, espíritu vivificante.
46 Nevertheless that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
Mas no fue antes lo espiritual, sino lo natural, y después lo espiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
El primer hombre, hecho de tierra, es terrenal; el segundo hombre viene del cielo.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
Cual es el terrenal, tales son los terrenales; y cual el celestial, tales serán los celestiales.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Y así como hemos llevado la imagen del hombre terrenal, llevaremos la imagen del celestial.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
Lo que digo, hermanos, es, pues, esto: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios, ni la corrupción puede poseer la incorruptibilidad.
51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
He aquí que os digo un misterio: No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
en un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la trompeta final; porque sonará la trompeta y los muertos serán resucitados incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Pues es necesario que esto corruptible se vista de incorruptibilidad, y esto mortal se vista de inmortalidad.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying (logos) that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Cuando esto corruptible se haya vestido de incorruptibilidad, y esto mortal se haya vestido de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: “La muerte es engullida en la victoria.
¿Dónde quedó, oh muerte, tu victoria? ¿dónde, oh muerte, tu aguijón?” (Hadēs g86)
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y la fuerza del pecado es la Ley.
57 But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
¡Gracias sean dadas a Dios que nos da la victoria por nuestro Señor Jesucristo!
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be all of you steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as all of you know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Así que, amados hermanos míos, estad firmes, inconmovibles, abundando siempre en la obra del Señor, sabiendo que vuestra fatiga no es vana en el Señor.
