Psalms 84

1 For the Leader; upon the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely are Thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

Al maestro de coro. Por el tono de Hagghittoth (Los lagares). De los hijos de Coré. Salmo. ¡Oh cuan amable es tu morada, Yahvé de los ejércitos!

2 My soul yearneth, yea, even pineth for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy unto the living God.

Suspirando, desfalleciendo, anhela mi alma los atrios de Yahvé. Mi corazón y mi carne claman ansiosos hacia el Dios vivo.

3 Yea, the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young; Thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God —.

Hasta el gorrión halla una casa, y la golondrina un nido para poner sus polluelos, junto a tus altares, Yahvé de los ejércitos, Rey mío y Dios mío.

4 Happy are they that dwell in Thy house, they are ever praising Thee. (Selah)

Dichosos los que moran en tu casa y te alaban sin cesar.

5 Happy is the man whose strength is in Thee; in whose heart are the highways.

Felices aquellos cuya fuerza viene de Ti, y tienen su corazón puesto en tu camino santo.

6 Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; yea, the early rain clotheth it with blessings.

Atravesando el valle de lágrimas ellos lo convierten en lugar de manantiales, que la lluvia temprana cubrirá de bendiciones.

7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.

Y suben con vigor creciente hasta que Dios se hace ver de ellos en Sión.

8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. (Selah)

Yahvé de los ejércitos, oye mi oración; escucha, oh Dios de Jacob.

9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of Thine anointed.

Pon tus ojos, oh Dios, escudo nuestro, y mira el rostro de tu ungido.

10 For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand; I had rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Un día solo en tus atrios vale más que otros mil. Prefiero estar en el umbral de la Casa de mi Dios que habitar en los pabellones de los pecadores.

11 For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD giveth grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Porque sol y escudo es Yahvé Dios; Él da gracia y da gloria. Él no rehúsa ningún bien a los que caminan en inocencia.

12 O LORD of hosts, happy is the man that trusteth in Thee.

Yahvé de los ejércitos, dichoso el hombre que confía en Ti.
