Psalms 135

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord: ye seruants of the Lord, praise him.

Msifuni Yahwe. Lisifuni jina la Yahwe. Msifuni yeye, enyi watumishi wa Yahwe,

2 Ye that stande in the House of the Lord, and in the courtes of the House of our God,

ninyi msimamao katika nyumba ya Yahwe, katika nyua za nyumba ya Mungu wetu.

3 Praise ye the Lord: for the Lord is good: sing praises vnto his Name: for it is a comely thing.

Msifuni Yahwe, kwa kuwa ni mwema; liimbieni sifa jina lake, maana ni vizuri kufanya hivyo.

4 For the Lord hath chosen Iaakob to himselfe, and Israel for his chiefe treasure.

Kwa kuwa Yahwe amemchagua Yakobo kwa ajili yake mwenyewe, Israeli kama urithi wake.

5 For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is aboue all gods.

Najua ya kuwa Yahwe ni mkuu, na kwamba Bwana wetu yuko juu ya miungu yote.

6 Whatsoeuer pleased the Lord, that did hee in heauen and in earth, in the sea, and in all the depths.

Chochote Yahwe apendacho, hufanya mbinguni, duniani, katika bahari na katika vilindi vyote.

7 He bringeth vp the cloudes from the ends of the earth, and maketh the lightnings with ye raine: he draweth foorth the winde out of his treasures.

Hushusha mawingu kutoka mbali, akifanya mianga ya radi kuongozana na mvua na kuleta upepo toka katika ghala yake.

8 He smote the first borne of Egypt both of man and beast.

Aliua mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Misri, wote wanadamu na wanyama.

9 He hath sent tokens and wonders into the middes of thee, O Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his seruants.

Alituma ishara na maajabu kati yako Misri, dhidi ya Farao na watumishi wake wote.

10 He smote many nations, and slew mightie Kings:

Aliwashambulia mataifa mengi na aliua wafalme wenye nguvu,

11 As Sihon King of the Amorites, and Og King of Bashan, and all the kingdomes of Canaan:

Sihoni mfalme wa Waamori na Ogu mfalme wa Bashani na falme zote za Kanaani.

12 And gaue their lande for an inheritance, euen an inheritance vnto Israel his people.

Alitupatia sisi nchi yao kama urithi, urithi wa Israeli watu wake.

13 Thy Name, O Lord, endureth for euer: O Lord, thy remembrance is from generation to generation.

Jina lako, Yahwe, inadumu milele; Yahwe, kumbukumbu lako vizazi hata vizazi.

14 For the Lord will iudge his people, and be pacified towardes his seruants.

Kwa kuwa Bwana huwatetea watu wake na anahuruma juu ya watumishi wake.

15 The idoles of the heathen are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens handes.

Sanamu za mataifa ni fedha na dhahabu, kazi ya mikono ya wanadamu.

16 They haue a mouth, and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.

Sanamu hizo zina vinywa, lakini haziongei; zina macho, lakini hazioni;

17 They haue eares and heare not, neither is there any breath in their mouth.

zina masikio, lakini hazisikii, wala vinywani mwao hamna pumzi.

18 They that make them, are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.

Wale wazitengenezao wanafanana nazo, vilevile kila anaye zitumainia.

19 Praise the Lord, ye house of Israel: praise the Lord, ye house of Aaron.

Enyi kizazi cha Israeli, mtukuzeni Yahwe; kizazi cha Haruni, mtukuzeni Yahwe.

20 Praise the Lord, ye house of Leui: ye that feare the Lord, praise the Lord.

Kizazi cha Lawi, mtukuzeni Yahwe.

21 Praised bee the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth in Ierusalem. Praise ye the Lord.

Atukuzwe Yahwe katika Sayuni, yeye aishiye Yerusalemu. Msifuni Yahwe.
