Psalms 135
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord: ye seruants of the Lord, praise him.
Hallelúja! Dicsérjétek az Örökkévaló nevét, dicsérjétek, az Örökkévaló szolgái ti,
2 Ye that stande in the House of the Lord, and in the courtes of the House of our God,
a kik álltok az Örökkévaló házában, Istenünk házának udvaraiban!
3 Praise ye the Lord: for the Lord is good: sing praises vnto his Name: for it is a comely thing.
Dicsérjétek Jáht, mert jóságos az Örökkévaló; zengjetek nevének, mert kedves.
4 For the Lord hath chosen Iaakob to himselfe, and Israel for his chiefe treasure.
Mert Jákóbot választotta ki magának Jáh, Izraélt kiváló tulajdonául.
5 For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is aboue all gods.
Mert tudom én, hogy nagy az Örökkévaló s a mi Urunk inkább mind az isteneknél.
6 Whatsoeuer pleased the Lord, that did hee in heauen and in earth, in the sea, and in all the depths.
Mindent, a mit akart az Örökkévaló, megtett az égben és a földön, a tengerekben és mind a mélységekben.
7 He bringeth vp the cloudes from the ends of the earth, and maketh the lightnings with ye raine: he draweth foorth the winde out of his treasures.
Fölszállat felhőket a föld végéről, villámokat készít az esőköz, kihoz szelet tárházaiból.
8 He smote the first borne of Egypt both of man and beast.
A ki megverte Egyiptom elsőszülötteit, embertől baromig;
9 He hath sent tokens and wonders into the middes of thee, O Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his seruants.
küldött jeleket és csodákat közepedbe, oh Egyiptom, Fáraóra és mind a szolgáira.
10 He smote many nations, and slew mightie Kings:
A ki megvert sok nemzetet, s megölt hatalmas királyokat:
11 As Sihon King of the Amorites, and Og King of Bashan, and all the kingdomes of Canaan:
Szíchónt, az Emóri királyát és Ógot, Básán királyát, és Kanaán királyságait mind;
12 And gaue their lande for an inheritance, euen an inheritance vnto Israel his people.
s adta országukat birtokul, birtokul Izraél népének.
13 Thy Name, O Lord, endureth for euer: O Lord, thy remembrance is from generation to generation.
Örökkévaló, neved örökké tart; Örökkévaló, hired nemzedékre meg nemzedékre!
14 For the Lord will iudge his people, and be pacified towardes his seruants.
Mert igazát szerzi az Örökkévaló népének és szolgáin szánakozik.
15 The idoles of the heathen are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens handes.
A nemzetek bálványai ezüst és arany, ember kezeinek művei.
16 They haue a mouth, and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.
Szájuk van, de nem beszélnek, szemeik vannak, de nem látnak;
17 They haue eares and heare not, neither is there any breath in their mouth.
füleik vannak, de nem hallanak, még lehelet sincsen szájukban.
18 They that make them, are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.
A milyenek ők, legyenek készítőik, mindenki, ki bennök bízik.
19 Praise the Lord, ye house of Israel: praise the Lord, ye house of Aaron.
Izraél háza, áldjátok az Örökkévalót, Áron háza, áldjátok az Örökkévalót!
20 Praise the Lord, ye house of Leui: ye that feare the Lord, praise the Lord.
Lévi háza, áldjátok az Örökkévalót, istenfélők ti, áldjátok az Örökkévalót!
21 Praised bee the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth in Ierusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
Áldva legyen az Örökkévaló Cziónból, a Jeruzsálemben lakozó! Hallelúja!
