Job 5
1 Call nowe, if any will answere thee, and to which of the Saintes wilt thou turne?
“Ligue agora; há alguém que lhe responderá? A qual dos santos você vai recorrer?
2 Doubtlesse anger killeth the foolish, and enuie slayeth the idiote.
Por ressentimento mata o homem tolo, e o ciúme mata o simples.
3 I haue seene the foolish well rooted, and suddenly I cursed his habitation, saying,
Eu vi os tolos se enraizarem, mas de repente eu amaldiçoei sua habitação.
4 His children shalbe farre from saluation, and they shall be destroyed in the gate, and none shall deliuer them.
Seus filhos estão longe de serem seguros. Eles são esmagados no portão. Também não há nenhum para entregá-los,
5 The hungrie shall eate vp his haruest: yea, they shall take it from among the thornes, and the thirstie shall drinke vp their substance.
cuja colheita os famintos consomem, e tirá-lo até mesmo dos espinhos. As lacunas de laço para sua substância.
6 For miserie commeth not foorth of the dust, neither doeth affliction spring out of the earth.
Pois a aflição não sai do pó, nem os problemas surgem do chão;
7 But man is borne vnto trauaile, as the sparkes flie vpwarde.
mas o homem nasce para os problemas, enquanto as faíscas voam para cima.
8 But I would inquire at God, and turne my talke vnto God:
“Mas quanto a mim, eu buscaria Deus. Eu comprometeria minha causa com Deus,
9 Which doeth great things and vnsearchable, and marueilous things without nomber.
que faz grandes coisas que não podem ser imaginadas, coisas maravilhosas sem número;
10 He giueth raine vpon the earth, and powreth water vpon the streetes,
que dá chuva sobre a terra, e envia águas para os campos;
11 And setteth vp on hie them that be lowe, that the sorowfull may be exalted to saluation.
de modo que ele se instala no alto aqueles que são baixos, aqueles que choram são exaltados à segurança.
12 He scattereth the deuices of the craftie: so that their handes can not accomplish that which they doe enterprise.
Ele frustra os planos dos astuciosos, para que suas mãos não possam realizar seu empreendimento.
13 He taketh the wise in their craftinesse, and the counsel of the wicked is made foolish.
He leva o sábio em sua própria astúcia; o conselho da astúcia é levado de cabeça erguida.
14 They meete with darkenesse in the day time, and grope at noone day, as in the night.
Eles se encontram com a escuridão durante o dia, e apalpar ao meio-dia, como na noite.
15 But he saueth the poore from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hande of the violent man,
But ele salva da espada da boca deles, mesmo os necessitados da mão dos poderosos.
16 So that the poore hath his hope, but iniquitie shall stop her mouth.
Portanto, os pobres têm esperança, e a injustiça lhe fecha a boca.
17 Beholde, blessed is the man whome God correcteth: therefore refuse not thou the chastising of the Almightie.
“Eis que feliz é o homem a quem Deus corrige”. Portanto, não desprezem o castigo do Todo-Poderoso.
18 For he maketh the wound, and bindeth it vp: he smiteth, and his handes make whole.
Pois ele ferve e amarra. Ele machuca e suas mãos ficam inteiras.
19 He shall deliuer thee in sixe troubles, and in the seuenth the euill shall not touch thee.
Ele o entregará em seis problemas; sim, em sete nenhum mal lhe tocará.
20 In famine he shall deliuer thee from death: and in battel from the power of the sworde.
Na fome, ele o resgatará da morte; na guerra, a partir do poder da espada.
21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue, and thou shalt not be afraid of destruction when it commeth.
Você será escondido do flagelo da língua, nem você terá medo da destruição quando ela chegar.
22 But thou shalt laugh at destruction and dearth, and shalt not be afraide of the beast of the earth.
Você vai rir da destruição e da fome, nem você terá medo dos animais da terra.
23 For the stones of the fielde shall be in league with thee, and the beastes of the field shall be at peace with thee.
Pois você será aliado com as pedras do campo. Os animais do campo ficarão em paz com você.
24 And thou shalt knowe, that peace shall be in thy tabernacle, and thou shalt visite thine habitation, and shalt not sinne.
Você saberá que sua tenda está em paz. Você vai visitar seu rebanho e não vai perder nada.
25 Thou shalt perceiue also, that thy seede shalbe great, and thy posteritie as the grasse of the earth.
Você saberá também que sua descendência será ótima, sua descendência como a grama da terra.
26 Thou shalt goe to thy graue in a ful age, as a ricke of corne commeth in due season into the barne.
Você chegará ao seu túmulo em idade adulta, como um choque de grãos vem em sua estação.
27 Lo, thus haue we inquired of it, and so it is: heare this and knowe it for thy selfe.
Veja, nós o pesquisamos. É assim. Ouça, e saiba para o seu bem”.
