Isaiah 63
1 Who is this that commeth from Edom, with red garments from Bozrah? hee is glorious in his apparel and walketh in his great strength: I speake in righteousnesse, and am mightie to saue.
Wer ist der, so von Edom kommt, mit rötlichen Kleidern von Bazra, der so geschmückt ist in seinen Kleidern und einhertritt in seiner großen Kraft? Ich bin's, der Gerechtigkeit lehret und ein Meister bin zu helfen.
2 Wherefore is thine apparel red, and thy garments like him that treadeth in ye wine presse?
Warum ist denn dein Gewand so rotfarb und dein Kleid wie eines Keltertreters?
3 I haue troden the wine presse alone, and of all people there was none with mee: for I will treade them in mine anger, and tread them vnder foote in my wrath, and their blood shalbe sprinkled vpon my garments, and I will staine all my raiment.
Ich trete die Kelter allein, und ist niemand unter den Völkern mit mir. Ich habe sie gekeltert in meinem Zorn und zertreten in meinem Grimm. Daher ist ihr Vermögen auf meine Kleider gespritzt, und ich habe all mein Gewand besudelt.
4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the yeere of my redeemed is come.
Denn ich habe einen Tag der Rache mir vorgenommen; das Jahr, die Meinen zu erlösen, ist kommen.
5 And I looked, and there was none to helpe, and I wondered that there was none to vpholde: therefore mine owne arme helped me, and my wrath it selfe sustained me.
Denn ich sah mich um, und da war kein Helfer, und ich war im Schrecken, und niemand enthielt mich, sondern mein Arm mußte mir helfen, und mein Zorn enthielt mich.
6 Therefore I wil tread downe the people in my wrath, and make them drunken in mine indignation, and wil bring downe their strength to the earth.
Darum habe ich die Völker zertreten in meinem Zorn und habe sie trunken gemacht in meinem Grimm und ihr Vermögen zu Boden gestoßen.
7 I wil remember the mercies of the Lord and the prayses of the Lord according vnto all that the Lord hath giuen vs, and for the great goodnesse toward the house of Israel, which hee hath giuen them according to his tender loue, and according to his great mercies.
Ich will der Güte des HERRN gedenken und des Lobes des HERRN in allem, das uns der HERR getan hat, und des großen Guts an dem Hause Israel, das er ihnen getan hat durch seine Barmherzigkeit und große Güte.
8 For he saide, Surely they are my people, children that wil not lie: so he was their Sauiour.
Denn er sprach: Sie sind ja mein Volk, Kinder, die nicht falsch sind. Darum war er ihr Heiland.
9 In all their troubles he was troubled, and the Angel of his presence saued them: in his loue and in his mercie he redeemed them, and he bare them and caried them alwayes continually.
Wer sie ängstete, der ängstete ihn auch; und der Engel, so vor ihm ist, half ihnen. Er erlösete sie, darum daß er sie liebete und ihrer schonete. Er nahm sie auf und trug sie allezeit von alters her.
10 But they rebelled and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore was hee turned to be their enemie and he fought against them.
Aber sie erbitterten und entrüsteten seinen Heiligen Geist; darum ward er ihr Feind und stritt wider sie.
11 Then he remembred the olde time of Moses and his people, saying, Where is hee that brought them vp out of the Sea with the shepheard of his sheepe? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
Und er gedachte wieder an die vorige Zeit, an den Mose, so unter seinem Volk war. Wo ist denn nun, der sie aus dem Meer führete, samt dem Hirten seiner Herde? Wo ist, der seinen Heiligen Geist unter sie gab,
12 He led them by the right hand of Moses with his owne glorious arme, deuiding the water before them, to make himselfe an euerlasting Name.
der Mose bei der rechten Hand führete durch seinen herrlichen Arm, der die Wasser trennete vor ihnen her, auf daß er ihm einen ewigen Namen machte,
13 Hee led them through the deepe, as an horse in the wildernesse, that they should not stumble,
der sie führete durch die Tiefe, wie die Rosse in der Wüste, die nicht straucheln,
14 As the beast goeth downe into the valley, the Spirite of the Lord gaue them rest: so diddest thou leade thy people, to make thy selfe a glorious Name.
wie das Vieh, so ins Feld hinabgehet, welches der Odem des HERRN treibet? Also hast du auch dein Volk geführet, auf daß du dir einen herrlichen Namen machtest.
15 Looke downe from heauen, and beholde from the dwelling place of thine holines, and of thy glory. Where is thy zeale and thy strength, the multitude of thy mercies, and of thy compassions? they are restrained from me.
So schaue nun vom Himmel und siehe herab von deiner heiligen herrlichen Wohnung. Wo ist nun dein Eifer, deine Macht? Deine große herzliche Barmherzigkeit hält sich hart gegen mich.
16 Doutles thou art our Father: though Abraham be ignorant of vs, and Israel knowe vs not, yet thou, O Lord, art our Father, and our redeemer: thy Name is for euer.
Bist du doch unser Vater. Denn Abraham weiß von uns nicht, und Israel kennet uns nicht. Du aber, HERR, bist unser Vater und unser Erlöser; von alters her ist das dein Name.
17 O Lord, why hast thou made vs to erre from thy wayes? and hardened our heart from thy feare? Returne for thy seruants sake, and for the tribes of thine inheritance.
Warum lässest du uns, HERR, irren von deinen Wegen und unser Herz verstocken, daß wir dich nicht fürchten? Kehre wieder um deiner Knechte willen, um der Stämme willen deines Erbes!
18 The people of thine holinesse haue possessed it, but a litle while: for our aduersaries haue troden downe thy Sanctuarie.
Sie besitzen dein heiliges Volk schier gar; deine Widersacher zertreten dein Heiligtum.
19 We haue bene as they, ouer whome thou neuer barest rule, and vpon whom thy Name was not called.
Wir sind gleich wie vorhin, da du nicht über uns herrschetest, und wir nicht nach deinem Namen genannt waren.
