< Romans 3 >

1 So does a Jew have any advantage? Does circumcision have any benefits?
Adunadi Jihudi ama oibagi khudong chaba kari leibage? Nattraga un kakpagi tongjaba karino?
2 Yes, there are many benefits! First of all, God's message was entrusted to them.
Maram khudingmakta tongjaba yamna lei. Ahanba maktada makhoida Tengban Mapugi wa adu sinnabire.
3 What if some of them didn't trust in God? Does their lack of trust in God obliterate the trustworthiness of God?
Adunadi mi kharana thajaba yadaba oirabadi kari oigani? Makhoigi thajaba yadaba aduna Tengban Mapugi thajaba yaba adu karisu nattaba oihan-gadra?
4 Of course not! Even if everyone else is proved to be lying, God always tells the truth. As Scripture says, “What you say will be proved right, and you will win your case when you are judged.”
Madu tasengnamak natte! Mi khudingmak minamba oirabasu Tengban Mapudi achumba oisanu. Masi Mapugi puyada ikhibagumbani, “Maram asina Ibungo nahakna ngangbada nahak achumbani haiba utkani wayenbada Ibungona ngamgani.”
5 But if the fact that we're wrong helps to show that God is right, what should we conclude? That God is wrong to pronounce judgment on us? (I'm talking from a human perspective here.)
Adubu eikhoigi achumba chattabana Tengban Mapugi achumba chatpa adu henna sengna uhallabadi, eikhoina kari haisige? Tengban Mapuna eikhoida cheirak piba matamda Tengban Mapudi chumdabani haigadra? (Mioibana marei yetpagumna eina haibani.)
6 Of course not! How else could God judge the world?
Madu tasengnamak natte! Maramdi madu oirabadi Tengban Mapuna taibangpanbabu karamna wayen-gani?
7 Someone could say, “Why am I still condemned as a sinner if my lies make the truth of God and his glory more obvious in contrast?”
Eigi minambana Tengban Mapugi achumba hen-gat-hanba amadi mahakki matik mangal chaohallabadi, karigi eibu houjik phaoba pap chenba amagumna maral leihallibano?
8 Is it a case of, “Let's sin to bring about good”? That's what some people have slanderously accused us of saying. They should be rightly condemned!
Adu oirabadi “Aphaba thoknaba eikhoina phattaba tousi” haisira? Eikhoina masimak hai haiduna eikhoibu thina ngangduna mi kharana eikhoida maral si! Makhoida piba maral achumbani.
9 So then, are we Jews better than others? Definitely not! Remember that we've already argued that both Jews and foreigners are under the control of sin.
Adunadi eikhoina karina waroisinsige? Jihudi eikhoina Jihudi nattaba makhoidagi henna phibham phabra? Khak natte! Maramdi eikhoina mangjounana maral sikhre madudi Jihudising amadi atoppa phurupsingsu chap mannana papki panggalgi makhada lei;
10 As Scripture says, “No one does what is right, not even one.
Masi Mapugi puyada ikhibagumnani, “Achumba chatpa mi amata leite, leite, amatasu leite,
11 No one understands; no one seeks God.
wakhal taba mi amata leite, Tengban Mapubu thiba mi amata leite.
12 Everyone has turned their backs on him; everyone does what is totally wrong. No one does what is good, not a single one.
Makhoi pumnamak mamai leithokkhre, makhoi pumnamak kanadaba oirakle; aphaba touba kana amatasu leite, amatasu leite.”
13 Their throats are like an open grave; their tongues spread deceit; their lips ooze with the venom of snakes.
“Makhoigi khouridi hangdoklaba mongphamni, makhoigi mareina lounamgi wa ngang-i.” “Makhoigi chinbanda lin-gi hu lei.”
14 Their mouths are full of bitterness and curses,
“Makhoigi chindi sirap amasung akhabana thalli.”
15 and they are quick to cause pain and death.
“Makhoigi makhongdi mi hatpagi thabakta yang-i;
16 Their way leads to disaster and misery;
makhoina chatpa maphamsingda amangba amasung mangtakpa lei,
17 they don't know how to live in peace.
ingthabagi lambi makhoina khangde.”
18 They don't care about respecting God at all.”
“Makhoigi mityengda Tengban Mapubu kiba leite.”
19 It's clear that everything in the law applies to those who live under the law so that no one could have any excuses, and to make sure everyone in the whole world is answerable to God.
Wayel Yathangna haiba makhei adu Wayel Yathanggi makha ponna leiribasingda haibani haiba eikhoina khang-i, maramdi chin khudingmakpu mensinnaba amasung taibangpan-gi mi pumnamakna Tengban Mapugi wayel makhada leinabani.
20 For no one is made right before God by doing what the law requires. The law only helps us recognize what sin really is.
Maram aduna Wayel Yathang ngakpagi mapanna kanabusu Tengban Mapugi mityengda chumhanbiroi; maramdi Wayel Yathanggi mapanna pap khanglak-i.
21 But now God's character of goodness and right has been demonstrated. It has nothing to do with law-keeping, even though it was spoken of by the law and the prophets.
Adubu houjikti Tengban Mapuna mahakki mangda misingbu chumhanbibagi lambi adu phongdokpire. Madu Moses-ki Wayel Yathangna amasung Tengban Mapugi wa phongdokpiba maichousingna makhoigi sakhi piba oirabasu madu wayel yathangga mari karisu leinade.
22 This character of God that is good and right comes to everyone who trusts in Jesus Christ, those who place their confidence in him. It doesn't matter who we are:
Jisu Christta thajabagi mapanna thajaba mi pumnamakki mathakta Tengban Mapugi achumba chatpa adu lak-i, maduda Jihudi amadi Jihudi nattabasinggi marakta khennaba amata leite,
23 We have all sinned, and we fall far short of God's glorious ideal.
maramdi mi pumnamak pap tou-i amasung Tengban Mapugi matik mangaldagi sotthei.
24 Yet through the free gift of his grace God makes us right through Christ Jesus who sets us free.
Jisu Christtada leiba handokpiba adugi mapanna Tengban Mapugi thoujalna makhoibu lemna chumhanbire.
25 God openly presented Jesus as the gift that brings peace to those trusting in him, the one who shed his blood. God did this to demonstrate he is truly good and right, for previously he would hold back and pass over sins,
Tengban Mapuna Ibungo mahakpu iratpot oina pibi, maramdi Ibungo mahakki eegi maramna Ibungoda makhoina thajabagi mapanna Ibungo mahak misinggi pap kokpipham oinanabani. Tengban Mapudi achumba chatpani haiba utnanaba Tengban Mapuna masi toubani. Mamangngeidadi khaangheibagi mapanna hanna toukhiba misinggi papsing adu Ibungona singthanabide; adubu houjikki matam asida mahakki achumba chatpa adu utthoknanaba Ibungona makhoigi papsing adu yengsille. Asumna Tengban Mapuna mahak masamak achumba chatpani haiba utpire amadi Jisubu thajaba mi pumnamakpu chumhanbire.
26 but now at this present time God proves he is fair and does what is right, and that he makes right those who trust in Jesus.
27 So do we have anything to boast about then? Absolutely not, there's no place for that! And why's that? Is it because we follow the law of observing requirements? No, we follow the law of trusting in God.
Adunadi eikhoigi chaothokpham kadaida leibage? Chaothokpham karisu leite. Masigi maram karigino? Eikhoina Wayel Yathang inbagira? Natte adubu eikhoina thajabagini.
28 We conclude that people are made right with God through their trust in him, and not from legal observance.
Maramdi mi amabu Wayel Yathang inbagi natte adubu thajabagi mapanna Tengban Mapugi mangda chumhanbi haiba asi eikhoina haire.
29 Is God only the God of the Jews? Isn't he the God of other people as well? Of course he is!
Nattraga Tengban Mapu asi Jihudisingtagi Tengban Mapu oibra? Atoppa phurusinggisu Tengban Mapu oiba nattra? Hoi, atoppa phurupsinggisuni.
30 There is only one God, and he makes us morally right through our trust in him, whoever we are, Jew or foreigner.
Maramdi un kakpasingbu thajabagi mapanna chumhanbiba amasung un kaktabasingbu thajaba adumakki mapanna chumhanbiba Tengban Mapu amatamak lei.
31 Does that mean that by trusting in God we do away with the law? Of course not! In fact we affirm the importance of the law.
Adunadi thajabagi mapanna Wayel Yathangbu eikhoina karisu nattaba oihanbra? Madu tasengnamak natte! Hennadum eikhoina Wayel Yathangbu sougatli.
