Hebrews 8
1 The main point of what we're saying is this: We have just such a high priest who is seated at the right hand of God, who sits in majesty on his throne in heaven.

2 He serves in the sanctuary, the true Tabernacle that was set up by the Lord and not by human beings.

3 Since it's the responsibility of every high priest to offer gifts and sacrifices, this high priest must also have something to offer.
Kay ang tanang labawng sacerdote ginatudlo aron sa paghalad ug mga gasa ug mga halad-inihaw; tungod niana, gikinahanglan nga ang maong sacerdote usab adunay iyang ihalad.
4 Now if he was here on earth, he wouldn't be a priest at all, because there are already priests to present the offerings that the law requires.

5 The place they serve is a copy, a mere shadow of what is in heaven. That's what God told Moses when he was going to set up the Tabernacle: “Be careful to make everything according to the blueprint you were shown on the mountain.”
Ginaalagaran nila ang hulad ug landong sa langitnong dapit nga balaan; kay sa hapit na si Moises magpatindog sa tabernaculo, gitugon siya sa Dios nga nag-ingon, "Tan-awa baya nga ang tanan pagahimoon mo nga mahisubay sa sumbanan nga gipakita kanimo didto sa bukid."
6 But Jesus has been given a far better ministry just as he is the one who mediates a far better agreed relationship between us and God, which is based on much better promises.
Apan ingon nga sa karon, si Cristo nahisulod sa usa ka pagpang-alagad nga labaw pa ka maayo kay sa daan, maingon nga ang pakigsaad nga iyang ginapataliwad-an labi pa man ka maayo, sanglit nahimo man kini pinasikad sa labi pa ka maayong mga saad.
7 If that first agreement had been perfect, then a second wouldn't have been necessary.
Kon kadtong unang pakigsaad wala pay kulang, wala untay kahigayonan alang sa ikaduha.
8 Pointing out their failings, God told his people, “Pay attention, says the Lord, because the days are coming when I will make a new agreement with the people of Israel and Judah.
Apan kay iya man silang nakaplagan nga may kakulang, siya nagaingon, Moabut ra ang mga adlaw, nagaingon ang Ginoo, nga pagahimoon ko ang usa ka bag-ong pakigsaad uban sa kaliwatan ni Israel ug sa kaliwatan ni Juda;
9 This will not be like the agreement I made with their forefsathers when I led them by the hand out of the land of Egypt. For they didn't keep their part of the agreed relationship, so I gave up on them, says the Lord.
dili ingon sa pakigsaad nga gihimo ko uban sa ilang mga ginikanan niadtong adlaw sa akong paggunit kanila sa kamot aron sa pagdala kanila sa gawas sa yuta sa Egipto; kay wala sila magmatinumanon sa akong pakigsaad, ug busa wala ako manumbaling kanila, nagaingon ang Ginoo.
10 The relationship I promise to the house of Israel is this: After that time, says the Lord, I will place my laws inside them, and write them in their minds. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Kay mao kini ang pakigsaad nga akong pagahimoon uban sa kaliwatan ni Israel tapus niadtong mga adlawa, nagaingon ang Ginoo: Igabutang ko ang akong mga sugo sulod sa ilang mga salabutan, ug igasulat ko kini diha sa ilang mga kasingkasing, ug ako mahimong ilang Dios, ug sila mahimong akong katawhan.
11 No one will need to teach their neighbor, and no one will need to teach anyone in their family, telling them, ‘You ought to know the Lord.’ For everyone will know me, from the smallest to the greatest.
Ug ang matag-usa kanila dili na magatudlo pa sa iyang isigkatagilungsod, ni ang matag-usa kinahanglan magatudlo pa sa iyang igsoon, sa pag-ingon, `Ilha ang Ginoo,' kay ang tanan makaila na man unya kanako, sukad sa labing gamay kanila hangtud sa labing daku.
12 I will be merciful when they do wrong, and I will forget about their sins.”
Kay ako magamaloluy-on sa ilang kalapasan, ug ang ilang kasal-anan dili ko na pagahinumduman."
13 By saying, “A new agreed relationship,” he makes the first agreement out-of-date. The one that's old and worn out has almost disappeared.
Sa iyang paghisgot ug bag-ong pakigsaad, giisip niya ang nahaunang pakigsaad ingon nga kinaraan na. Ug bisan unsay kinaraan na ug tigulang na, kana hapit na mahanaw.
